Hello, unfortunately I do not have any knowledge about opening up a restaurant or shop in the kimironko market since I am not seeking to do so. You would have to conduct further research when you arrive in Rwanda about the cost of having a shop/stall, etc.

Hi Shira, opening a laundry mat could be interesting. The only thing that I would say is that culturally, locals tend to hand-wash their clothes themselves. Some people do have a washing machine, but hand-washing clothes is more traditional. The vast majority of people also air-dry their clothes outside. So, a laundry mat would require more research to scope out the demand and viability, and being strategically located would be very important.
