Rwanda is the trendy country at the moment! However, there are things to know before going there. First of all, the climate that is so much sung about. You should know that during the dry seasons, especially from June to the end of September, the heat in Kigali is almost unbearable with red dust making the air unbreathable. Asthmatics who only go there to visit the country should avoid these periods. Other things highlighted in the comments are cleanliness and security. However, if you mix a little with the population, you quickly realize that it is not cultural but imposed, with very severe sanctions at the beginning. There are certainly no more assaults or burglaries, but small scams in shops and petty thefts in hotels and homestays are very common. The majority of hotels wait until the day of your arrival (even if you book the same day) to say that they have readjusted their rates, obviously upwards! In the rooms you must always lock all your belongings in your suitcase, even your documents or your toothpaste and take the room keys with you when you go out. You must also avoid leaving opened bottles of drinks in the fridge. The administration workers are very welcoming and even downright charming really. It is true that we cannot develop tourism and attract foreign investors with corrupt and unpleasant administration agents, in a country where insecurity reigns. All this to say that tourists who go to Rwanda for 3 days to a week will always be able to fall under the charm of the country especially if they are ready to pay $1500 US to see certain breeds of gorillas in their park. Big investors too, since they put in place large means to control the work of employees and secure their premises, can go there. As for small investors and those looking for a place to live, they should think carefully before settling there. Good luck to Rwanda and all the countries of Africa.
3:07 I think the whole world should adopt this mentality, the world would be a better place.
