Changeover from breakfast to lunch is the worst mainly because the last minute breakfast orders when we try to get rid of everything so we dont have high waste
When I last worked for a Maccas, The breakfast to lunch changeover was by far one of the most stressful times of the day with the compacting the remaining breakfast trays to take as little space as possible in the UHC in order to make room for the lunch trays, also somebody having to record temps for the lunch items that will be stored in the UHC, all while there had to be somebody initiate/assemble keeping up with the orders still coming in and I didn't forget to mention at any point the front can ask for pies or cookies to be baked so somebody has to put those in. It's just not a fun time lol.

Samantha here. Growing up on McDonald’s food. Both during breakfast, and lunch. Dinner sometimes too. This was very neat to see. My favorite breakfast item. Is the sausage McMuffin with egg. For lunch, and dinner. It’s a toss up between quarter pounder with cheese meal, and the McChicken meal.
Yeah i love the Sausage McMuffin too. Its a shame they are price gouging loyal customers now though. I learned to make my own MickeeDee breakfasts at home saving me a ton of money. The price of single hash brown is 3.19. I remember when they were 2 for a dollar

Thanks for this video! I’m one of the folks who comes in at the transition and tries to Norse both breakfast and lunch….wife is a vegetarian and prefers and egg/cheese muffin while the rest of the family wants lunch food. We were sad to see the all day breakfast go away
same here. I was bummed I could no longer enjoy a Sausage Egg & Cheese McGriddle for Lunch or Dinner . Last time I went through the Drive thru, I ordered a FDilet O Fish with Extra cheese, Large Fries, Large Coke No Ice and Cookies, they messed up the sand wid Gave me a Filet of Fish but instead of Extra Cheese, it was the normal half slice and they added BACON.
I know a lot of people say McDonalds is poison, but I live by everything in moderation. Every few weeks my body wants extra salt, so I get the two cheeseburger meal - put half the fries on the burgers… a little slice of heaven. Been doing that since I was a kid, over 45 years ago. It’s one of the few food items, when I think of it, I can taste it. Anyways, this video was really cool. You guys are hustlers and I appreciate you. 👍🏽
It’s so strange seeing this. I worked at McDonald’s briefly almost 15 years ago when I was a teenager. I hardly remember anything other than how much I absolutely dreaded showing up. I joined the marines instead and ended up getting a surprise boot camp date. I didn’t even tell my boss and just stopped showing up 😂
i been trying to pay employees $100k for 15 years but cant find anyone that can work a fraction as hard as you. it take 5 my employees to do what you did. and then fast food workers think mowing lawns is hard. we wouldve had a 5 minute break at beginning of video and another 5 min break after and a 5 min break about every 15 min or so all day with some breaks 10 or 15 minutes.
As a McDonald’s employee, we deafly cut it off at 10:30 11 on the weekends we try to keep Waze down so if you come towards the last second you gonna be waiting we got a check the temperatures and all the food for lunch so we start like 15 minutes before that way they can stick the thermometer in it
What's the weirdest transition request you've ever had? Would it be possible to do something as outrageous as like a steak, egg, cheese and 10:1 meat bagel?
I used to work as a fry cook at Applebee's, and watching this brought back a lot of memories from that time. Every side dish such as vegetables and rice were in individual serving bags that were prepared earlier, and those got nuked. Gravy for those mash potatoes? Nuked. Side of soup? Nuked. The mash potatoes? Nuke em! Every deserrt that was served hot got nuked. I was amazed at first at just how much food was microwaved at the restaurant. It turned me off from eating at chain restaurants.
I go to a nearby McDonald's about three times a week, and this operation is like night and day compared to it. Just the other day I went in and witnessed the crackhead looking manager arguing with a they/them type employee over something another worker said. It got heated to the point where the manager said F it, lobby's closed and locked the door while I was still inside! I got my food and realized it was just locked from within, but an Uber Eats driver was trying to get in but was locked out. So as I left I held the door open for him, then a group of 5 followed behind him. I turned back and that manager gave me the evilest stink eye ever.

@@GrammarPoliceInvestigationsnope, lay tortilla down on wrap paper put cheese down, then a scoop of the defrosted sausage/pepper mix then roll them up and wrap them. And then they go into a fridge.
@@skye1491 and egg ?
@@Dannyt951 Eggs are in the mix.
No drama at this McDonalds. Good management. My McDs you can hear fighting and arguing. Zero peace....all chaos in the back.
Watching your videos to see how McDonald’s goes through like working is very interesting, keep up that great work
Coldplay playing in the back somehow makes this more calm than it genuinely is
Samantha here.

Wonderful to hear Samantha, glad you so dearly enjoy reminiscing about all the McDonald's you stuffed ur chubby cheeks with as a kiddo.
[stagecoach pulls up outside]
"SWITCH TO LUNCH! WE'VE GOT A BUS!"
I love these. This is my favorite tho - always been curious about the breakfast to lunch transition. Maybe a night close or an open next? Keep these coming man! I’m mesmerized by how you conquer process.
Are these Mcstraws?
I love the steak bagels. Nearly cried when they stopped serving in NYC, but they are back. Lovely video. I could watch this all day.
Finally, 2 months of me working at McDonald's and i finally got put in the kitchen :)
I remember having to beg managment back in 2018-2019 to just let me bag orders or hand out drive thru orders because I despised having to pretty much run the kitchen by myself
My last job was at McDonald's and I did enjoy it and now that I'm retired I miss it and the friends I made there,my last job at my restaurant was maintenance/what ever else needed to be done thank you for bringing back great memories!
Wow. Working at Mcdonalds takes more skill, concentration, and coordination than i thought. Very impressive.
Well trained staff! Next time I order something, I'll think of this video....haha.
Question: What do you do with the leftover food from breakfast to lunch?
Awesome videos!
We donate ours to a local charity! They only accept certain items based on food safety but it is actually a lot. Anything they won’t accept we waste.
@@StephenPatula Nice I was hoping that mcdonalds didnt just throw it out like dunking dounts
came here to ask this, thnx
@StephenPatula why don't restaurants just throw in some freebies towards the end to the last customers?
@@ademhuseinovicBecause it's the same reason why they just don't give it to the homeless, What if somebody is allergic or can't eat certain types of food especially when they didn't ask for It, Or what if you throw in something and somebody fool and they eat it thinking? It is what they ordered but it wasn't and they ended up getting sick because of a medical reaction to it now you get a Law suit
Man mcdonalds needs to sponsor you because these videos make me want to go get some McDonalds haha.
Finally! Thanks for the request!
As a new McDonald's employee, I've seen a flawless transition between breakfast and lunch! Our managers make sure that this goes as flawless as possible. During this time of the day, we have at least 4 people in the kitchen.
HE'S BACK!!! 🔥❤
I have a new found respect for fast food workers. Oh my goodness! I would "fall out!!"
I worked at McDonalds in high school (2006 ish). Its interesting to see the procedures, equipment, and things that have changed and stuff that is still the same. Nice video
and now you're a tiktoker who wants to be an instagramer?:)
I had worked in the past for 6 years when I was younger, what a fantastic and great experience. Nowadays with new tech is much more easier. Im from Argentina
Is your store 24/7? If so, it would be interesting to see how you guys do overnight tasks (or close tasks).
It’s not :(
Wow, very interesting, you’re very professional. 👍🏻
It’s so strange seeing this. I worked at McDonald’s briefly almost 15 years ago when I was a teenager. I hardly remember anything other than how much I absolutely dreaded showing up. I joined the marines instead and ended up getting a surprise boot camp date. I didn’t even tell my boss and just stopped showing up 😂
the urge to shout "aye kommandant!" for every response to some instruction is strong with this one... it just feels so right to shout it
I like how most of us line workers adopt the same style of stacking multiple patties onto one sandwich then just move them as needed
I’m sorry, but McDonald’s breakfast is my guilty pleasure. That sausage biscuit with a hash brown on it. Oooof
I actually got an interview at McDonald’s tomorrow I’m hoping to learn from your vids that I been watching for awhile now lol
How did it go?!
You may not like it, but this is what peak meal transition looks like
i been trying to pay employees $100k for 15 years but cant find anyone that can work a fraction as hard as you. it take 5 my employees to do what you did. and then fast food workers think mowing lawns is hard. we wouldve had a 5 minute break at beginning of video and another 5 min break after and a 5 min break about every 15 min or so all day with some breaks 10 or 15 minutes.
I love your videos so much, I work the night shift so I really enjoy the morning videos so see what goes on before I show up
I know people knock ‘em but the burritos are the only McDs breakfast I eat.
Same!! They are my favorite!
As a casual McDonald’s enjoyer, I appreciated seeing how you transitioned from breakfast to lunch. 10/10, would eat at your location.
Fin.
theres something about coldplay playing in a mcdonalds is so comforting and yet so unnerving
And then the customers started clapping and cheering for you and then the mayor gave you $5,000,000.
Totally a real story!
Hi! Fan from Mexico, I want personally, well digitally, thank you for showing these videos, as a costumer myself, I tend to not be demanding or an ahole, because I know how hard it is to work on a rush, (when I was 13, my father RIP made work as a bad packing boy at a supermarket) and looking at these menu transitions proves even more that we as costumers must remember that PEOPLE work behind the counter the best they can :)
Man I worked in the back for two years and I absolutely loved everything about the job. McDonald’s hires good fun people who work hard and take everything serious. We would always kill it and still have enough time to joke around. If I could go back I would but the pay is no good. When I worked there I made $8.50 an hour.
Yay! You’re back! We’ve missed you.
🥲🥲🥲🥲
hands down the best mcdonks breakfast item is the bacon egg and chesse bagel with a hash brown. On god that slaps so hard in the morning, I know it's bad for me, but GOD DAMMN
Right off the bat, one of my favourite Coldplay songs!
This is truly mesmerizing to watch.
I'm proud of this manager he ran that station by himself I like that
I've been asking for this video for a long time and glad to see it's finally gotten done, thanks Stephen!
I can’t don’t k is how but your videos are so satisfying and entertaining, you wouldn’t think so just from what they are about but they are
