Things have really changed since I worked at McDonalds in 1975 and 1976. Back then they had actual grills where the burgers were grilled and flipped. The milkshakes were mixed on a spindle with syrup and ice cream. The apple and cherry hand pies were deep fried and really delicious. I worked as a closer too which meant every machine had to be broken down, washed, cleaned, sanitized and put back. Big Mac’s were 70 cents. Cheeseburgers were 35 cents. The cash registers only rang totals, they did not add your order, you had to add everything in your head or with a pen & paper. McDonald’s is a well organized business and yes, I still eat at McDonalds every now and again. Thanks for the video.
Outside of federal its actually not that far off in price today. Compare the price of a big mac with California's minimum wage and it tracks how you remember. Unless big macs are less than $3 in states with the federal minimum they are getting fucked. Thank god im in California. Big mac is like more than $5 but less than $6 here give or take. Minimum wage is $15 unless you're in fast food than its $20. I would hate to be raised in a state where the minimum wage is $7.25, at that point I would hate the place.
