You made that pre-trip look really easy but in reality I need to study study study there's a lot of information from what I've seen with these demonstration videos they're on the same page like from the school that I'm going to in California but they're just some things that are said differently😮
You can explain it how ever you want as long as you point to it , know what it is, and explain in detail. There is no specific way to say it. I suggest read the “modernized version of the CDL manual” section 11 & 12. Type that in the search box of the DPS website
you should make a video going from front of the truck to the rear with less bouncing back and forth, makes it easier to remember if you work from the front to the back. thanks for the video homie
I think he was going straight down the list that you can hold in your hand during the test. He was more comfortable doing it that way. The list has you bouncing all around, even on the incab portion Sorry
I think you would of failed for not mentioning all tires not being inflated fully and the rear suspension system of the truck and trailer. Leaf springs, bushings, air bags, spring mounts, break clamps, break chambers, break lines, and slack adjusters and pins. Also the fifthwheel platform and or if it has a slide. The same with the rear of the trailer suspension, the break systems for it and the air lines having enough clearance. And Since you did one side of the truck, after each part that you name ad described, if it has a second part on the other side youd say "I would examine the other side the same" or something like that. Im not sure on any of this but I think you would definitely get some points off.
@@BigKlassCDLSchool I don't believe I have, I'm just studying for when I eventually get into CDL school. I don't think they should of removed these things because of there significance in the drivers safety and the equipments upkeep.

When you show a new driver starting Tell them no flip flops Shoes are required
Yes that is covered during orientation.
Can I say “securely mounted” instead of “securely mount” ? It makes it easier for me but idk if I’m allowed to say it like that when taking my test.

Can you use notes now?
Yes 😂
I have a question how many points need to pass in Virginia?
I'm not sure. Sorry
Question, do you have to say the tractor lights? The ones by the landing gear.
Yes
No you do not have to call out the rear lights of the tractor. Only the lights at the front and sides of tractor and rear of trailer.

I agree. The back and forth can really affect your performance while doing the inspection
