I just came here to say that this video helped me a lot to pass my test ( I passed today at the first try ) I repeated it over and over until I memorized everything. Thanks for these videos and thanks to Justin also. Good luck for everyone out there 👏
He voice is just so calming I can concentrate and he goes at the right speed
Happy to hear the video is helpful!
@@WilsonLogistics can he teach us how to make right and left turns on the streets that would be so helpful
@@jovannylopez1528 Great idea! We'll look into making that video. Thank you.
Passed my CDL test , thank you so much for sharing this video , it was of great help !
Got my cdl last week squarely on watching your videos. I’m thankful 🙏🙏
Woohoo! Congratulations 👏
You like truck driving?
@@dribblewarrior315 so far so good. owner operator
Ok, first you should of fastened your seat belt before you did anything in the brake check and doing your in cab inspection. Second you should of removed the key from the ignition when you got out of the vehicle to take out your wheel chalks. By D.M.V and D.O.T standards you failed the test before you even got started. But overall it was a good video.
Or put the seatbelt back on after getting back into the vehicle when removing the chalks
He would have failed
Shouldn’t he also make sure his brakes are on as a part of the safety start?
Y’all need to understand that this man Allready got his License and has Probally been driving For long time it’s not his job To Cover everything . He took the Time of his Day To Make a Video using his own truck for you ungrateful Folks.
Okay I think we’re all big boys here and already know to put on our seatbelt. I don’t think we need him to tell us that lol I get ur point but I’m still grateful for all the useful information I got from the vid. I didn’t click on the vid to learn something I’ve been doing my whole life like put on my seatbelt
this instructor is the best I have seen, very wonderful lesson from him
Nice job with 3 points of contact getting in and out of the rig.
I start my CDL class tomorrow, to me the pre trip is the hardest part of all of the schooling for my CDL LICENSE. You made it so simple for me to learn it and I'll practice it over and over until it flows with no problems. Thanks
Did you pass?
Did you pass
L
Did you pass?
Must’ve got stuck on a railroad crossing
I have a driving test next week if I pass it ill be back to say thank you for this great video and still thank you now before the test even if couldn’t make it
Wanted to thank you I used your in cab inspection part and passed and got my cdl a licenses. Thanks
I passed yesterday, I got from you more than school
Congratulations! We're so happy to have helped you. Stay safe out there.
THANK YOU JUSTIN FOR ALL YOUR VIDEOS! I PASSED MY PRE-TRIP AND IN CAB THANKS TO YOU!!!! I GOT MY CDL-A !!! THANK YOU!!!!
We love to hear it!! Congratulations! Is there anything else you'd like to see a video on?
In NJ the first step before a safe start is putting your seatbelt on. They will fail you immediately if you don't.
Absolutely! Never forget your seat belt.
Great video and very precise! I learned a lot from it. Thank you so much. Took my test today and passed!!!! So awesome 😉
Congratulations sir
Hello my dear friend and colleague, i watch and follow your awesome videos from a beautiful village where is located in the north of Shahrood in Semnan province, Iran, I'm a truck driver and forty three years old, and i wanted to thank you for your perfect explanations about pre trip
He is such a good teacher. Explanations are good, giving you what to say during your examination and letting you know of the parts
We're glad you think so! Let us know if you would like to see a video on anything else!
This is exactly how I learned in Wisconsin!!!
You’re the best yet. However we do a full vehicle inspection before the low air alarm and break tests.
GREAT INSTRUCTIONS.
ALWAYS REMEMBER NOT TO FORGET YOUR SEAT BELT, ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU ARE STARTING THE VEHICLE AND MOVE
BACKWARDS OR FORWARD.
Thank you!
In Wisconsin we have to know that the yellow valve is the tractor parking brake at the red Valve is the emergency trailer brake I’m at the emergency trailer brake appliance first on your second alarm test between 20 and 40 psi
This is the best “In-cab inspection” on RUclips. Thank you sir. My instructor at school failed me during a mock test on my leaks test checking for the 4psi in one minute because he said I was suppose to have my combination vehicle in Drive on an automatic during the test.
I’m not understanding how he is an instructor.
Thanks for watching! Hope it helps and best of luck 😎
In a manual it needs to be in low gear so an automatic is drive.so it don't roll.some dmvs allow you to chock the wheels.thats why schooling is good.
Do you pronounce your name as "Sissy"?
@@rodellagassijr.4812 if you say it fast it sounds that way.
@@ciz8091 You got some good music on your channel
Even us school bus drivers are taught to remove the key ANY time you leave the seat and/or the vehicle. Plus, one should automatically put on the seatbelt whenever one is preparing to start any vehicle. Regardless if one plana to move the vehicle an inch; “seatbelt on.” Different air build test with alarms deactivating, governor shut off, and build to 120/125psi.
This video has help me a lot. One and done when I took my road test!
Sir with all do respect you have done a great effort in explaining the whole in cab inspection process but you forgot to emphasize on take the truck key with you everytime you get out from your truck and putting the key in your pocket.
im srry but that interior is absolutely stunning
Great information, great video. Thank you for taking the time to show an in cab test! It is greatly appreciated!
I really appreciate this video man! I test Tuesday. So I'm going to have this on repeat all weekend.
Wish me luck!

I’ll love to listen to you. You are the best teacher ever. 💯%
Agreed he is very clear and keeps it very straight forward. Wish he was my mentor he is very patient takes his time.
Thank you so much!
Thank you so much for this!. I’m taking a CDL class now and was pretty worried about the pre trip part of the test. I feel way more confident after watching this.😊
You are very welcome! Best of luck!
This video is one of the best videos Ive watched it over a 100 times to memorize every word he says! 🤘😎

Best video on RUclips, excellent how you explains everything
Thanks, Jonathan! Best of luck!
Very good, precise video. Thanks.
On your brake test you said the low air warning buzzard should come on on or before 60 PSI that is incorrect the lowest is 55 PSI I know this because I failed my test because of it
I Guy this one of the Best Teachers out there.I listen clearly to him and pick up faster from Him.More then the Study guide I have 📑 the paper from my Drivers School.I can’t pick up The Lessons. But when I seen This Guy he’s helping me pull through this hold session they highlighted the part that needs to be inspected that A Great 👍🏼 move.So People can get a good ideal on what?to inspect thank you! 🙏🏽
For your services
We are super happy you found it helpful. Thanks for watching!
Thank you for this video
I can not thank you enough for this video. All the ones i’ve seen the audio is completely garbage but this video is nothing but crisp audio
Thank you
Really well done!
Your airbrake test is one of the better training videos on RUclips👍
You are also the first trainer to chalk the wheels (properly) from all the videos I’ve viewed, finally.👌
Please remember to reiterate how important it is to fasten your seatbelt soon as you sit behind the steering wheel. Coach your students to make sure the trainer is seat belted BEFORE you conduct any in cab tests. in the state of Illinois trainers are very adamant about seatbelts. If the student is asked to start performing any of the in cab tests and the student does not tell the trainer to fasten their seatbelt, before they perform said task, the trainer can fail the student immediately.
Thanks so much!
You’re doing great
Great work
Thanks so much for this video, it makes the whole thing much easier for me.
Happy to hear it 👍
i have a road test coming up this video is really freaking helpful man thank you so much

Then tug test ask examiner if u r on level ground if not then chock the wheels when finish tug test turn off the truck 🛻
Next lab test leak alarm buttons pop out
always take the key with you when you exit the vehicle... you lose pts if you don't... at least here in nevada.
Great video thank you!
Glad it helped!
Thanks a lot, may God bless you Sr
Thank you Junior! Stay safe and healthy!
Great instructor.
Thanks! 😎
4:06 since every aspect of truck and brake inspections can be ordered differently or done differntly varying in states, towns, provinces or countries. This timestamp is for people like myself just trying to get a basic idea of what the inspection entails.
Good looking out!
You are the best
Well done! I start CDL training with you all on the 27th! I can’t wait!
Awesome Cody! We look forward to working with you!
Cody Barnette which location? I start the 27th
you should've went to TMC, or went through a 3rd party and done it that way. I paid a farmer and got my class A after driving with him for 3 months.
Trey Taylor I wish I had that opportunity and wish I knew TMC was taking new hires. Gladly would of went with TMC
@@josephnelson9237 TMC is a amazingly good company of what I heard. You even get your own brand new 579 peterbilt and new spread axle flatbed with your name on the truck. You can even take the truck home for the weekend or a 34 hour reset.

You bet!
I like this style
Glad to hear it!
mention the abs light comes on and check engine comes on when you start it.
This is what I needed
We're happy to know this was helpful!
@Wilson Logistics… The pre-trip training playlist from 3 years ago is fantastic. That guy did a great job. There is a video missing from the playlist now. The original walk-up and engine compartment inspection. Where can I find that please?
This is an awesome video series to watch and see what I'll be learning in the future. I'm actually going to be contacting Wilson Logistics to talk about recruitment here in the future.
Great! We look forward to speaking with you!
Very nicely explained
Thanks!
This whole time I thought they meant stabilize at 120 to 140 …now I know you step on it and stabilize it meaning go down and not moving thank you
Glad it helped clear that up!
You deserve a thumbs up and a subscribe
We'll take it! Thanks for watching!
Great video
Thank you!
Well done Justin
Thanks Johnny!
I Wisconsin you have to say that the emergency trailer brake applies first to prevent a jackknife but you never said
Hello and thanks for a super presentation!
Two quick questions about truck drivers in general:
1. Do drivers tend to use melatonin or over the counter sleep aids to get adequate rest for safe driving duty?
2. Do most drivers carry mace or bear spray or some other self defense precaution??
I know this is a year old but...does the Pete not have a trolley brake to check? Great video series, thanks!
Yes, you are absolutely right!
Students need to know what the yellow and red valve breaks are
Awesome information 😎😎
Thank you!
When you get out to remove the chalks from the tires, are you suppose to take the keys with you?
You forgot to check the oil!! XO much ❤ thanks for the professional video collection!
You're very welcome!
Great video.
Thank you, Lisa! Hope it helps!

you have to hold the key at all time
When you do the leaks part ,are you supposed to look at the primary gauge or both ,secondary and primary to see that you didn't drop more than 4 psi within the minute ?
WHEN YOU STEP IN AND START BEFORE THE ENGINE,YOU MUST! YOU MUST PUT THE SEATBELT ON!!!!! OTHERWISE YOU FAIL AND NOT ONLY,YOU MUST TELL THE EXAMINATOR LET HE PUT THE BELT TOO1!!
Damn! That truck looks so sweet.
It is 😎👌
@@WilsonLogistics It's a shame the family could not approve my application to join the team. If there was one place I was really looking forward to starting my trucking career, it was Wilson Logistics. Oh , well. Maybe it was not written in the big Book.
In Washington it's required to let the examiner know at what PSI it cut out at
Excelent

@@WilsonLogistics Hello again, I forgot to say that I have just seen your reply now and I have to say that here is 2 am and I have to sleep because I must get up at 7 am thank you very much my dear buddy
Of course! We hope you have a great day!
@@WilsonLogistics Hello again dear friend, I hope the best for you, now it's raining, what's up there?
Nice video, but did you miss a critical step? Timing the compressor to make sure it can adequately build pressure. I believe the compressor check is timed from (50 - 90 psi) in no less than 3 minutes. If the compressor can't perform that (it's a weak compressor) and fails a pre-trip. Or has this been removed from pre-trips?
On the applied pressure test do we have to make sure it cuts out, to begin the test?
Great video.. So overwhelming 😢
Hope it makes it a little less overwhelming!
Good
Hi. have a good day sir, i'm new subscriber from the phlippines thanks.
Welcome to our Channel!
I watch all your videos which helps me amazingly than what I have gained driving school and really appreciate you but I think in air loss test after release both P/T t brake we have to wait until it stabilize 100psi before press service pedal and put our timer, what do you think about that?
Great! Thanks. It might be different on the model tractor you were learning on?
In Maryland first step is to put the seat belt On. It's a flunk right away if I don't put it On before I even do anything.
Great call-out!
You are a professional im telling you a driver of 25 year plus experience!
These test are so easy. More times people just over think test and fail
So when you push in both tractor and trailer brakes should i wait for all the air to stop making noise then hold the service break ?
