We've been playing this song for a long time. There even is an old video on RUclips of us performing this song live on a radio station almost 10 years ago, and we also played it during one of our MLT Club Livestreams. Not to mention the hundreds of times we've performed it live on stage.
We thought it deserved its own properly recorded Duo Session after all these years! :-)
We've had the pleasure of meeting Donovan a couple of times over the years! Growing up listening to his music, we've always considered him a significant influence on our own musical journey.

I was at the 1970 Bath Festival. The roads were so blocked that some acts couldn't make it to the site. Donovan ( whose star had apparently begun to wane), offered to come on stage alone with his acoustic guitar - and kept over 200,000 people thoroughly entertained. This is a lovely cover and a nice reminder of a wonderful moment in time.
69 years old here and listening through my ear buds and singing harmonies with these beautiful ladies. I adore this song.

Lisa's lead vocal as the song opens is stunningly beautiful. Your two guitars blend together perfectly... just as your harmony vocals do. Mona's harmonica play magically finds every nuance of the original performance. This is a masterful performance from start to finish. BRAVO!

There's only one Donovan. You capture his spirit and do him justice. He was injecting goodness at a time when things were tumultuous, and your version decades later does the same for our troubled times.

Just a few months ago, I heard "Catch the Wind" for the first time. I'm 60. I have well over two thousand records, including Donovan records. How I went this long without hearing this masterpiece is beyond me.
Anyway, as soon as I heard it, I thought, "The MonaLisa twins need to cover this song."
I was right.

One of my favorite Donovan songs...your version does it justice. Beautiful harmonies as usual and Mona's harmonica was perfect. I also loved the fingerpicked accent guitar played by Lisa so subtle and beatiful.

You guys! Donovan was one of my favourite singers when in my teens [that other guy - erm … - Dylan came a close second [ROFL]]. The tune started - the memories flooded. Lisa sang - wow! Mona came in with the harmony - my heart broke. Of all the covers of the song, this one is, without doubt [for me at least], the best.

Nice! My first, only and now ex wife was a Donovan fan. I was an electric guitar fan, but I explored her Donovan records with her out of love. I found his lyrics and soundscapes were fine with me. Our second child was named after a Donovan song.
