The thing that mesmerizes me about Toni’s playing is that she has so many places to take solos and fills. There’s just no way to predict the next phrase. There are more than enough predictable players. Toni rocks and just keeps getting better.

@dreamalittledo I'm fed through a Hickman line which is like a iv but it's inserted into my chest tunneled under my collar bone into my jugular vein and it sits in my heart, I'm then fed tpn(Total Parental Nutrition) for 16hrs then 2ltrs of fluids everyday. I'm like this because of punch to my stomach it severed my vagus nerve so anything I take orally will come steaight up I'm now stage 2 kidney and liver failure, which I know is the start of my final months on this planet, sending love prayers to you and your family

This was the first Elle & Toni song I heard - and only because of the youtube algorithm and autoplay.... generally I dislike covers, but this one was very different and I then listened to more from these two.. Next was Toni's cover of Sweet Dreams are made of this, then the cover of ELO's strange magic and I was hooked on the unspeakable talent. I think I have listened to most of what they have produced and I can think of no cover that is not better than the original! Then their own material is incredible too (Toni's technical performance on Woolf is very special - 6 frets at once?!). Toni is more than a musician, she is a technician and I guess the top stars have a fundamental grasp of music theory, but Toni is the very best at what she does, so much behind the scenes as well as the raw talent on numerous stringed things and more and her harmonies and increasingly lead vocals. A race car technician takes a stock vehicle, dismantles and analyzes each component, then improves each piece and puts it all back together again, suspension, brakes, chassis, motor, all sorts of tuning etc etc. That is what Toni does to songs. She is so good that personally I tend to overlook Elle, who is incredibly talented too and so consistent with her rhythm and providing a solid landscape of a canvas for Toni to decorate with magic (not to mention her outrageous poetic creativity and smooth voice). Keith Richards speaks of weaving with Ron Wood, which I guess is more of a blues thing, but the two threads have to go together to make a complete garment and that is what these two talents do with outward simplicity, but incredible skill. The joy they have in their weaving together and warm smiles throughout is a delight to see and is transmitted to the listener. Collaborations with Josh & Carson add a whole extra dimension. I selfishly wish there was the weekly content still, but appreciate they are doing whatever is the best for them at the moment and they deserve to reap maximum reward for their talent. That the likes of Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, Bieber and others are global phenomena's when there are elite musicians like Elle & Toni in relative obscurity is a travesty, though I guess they are what they are because they are so grounded.

Especially Toni's guitar playing, wow. I love how you and your Brooklyn buddies Josh Turner and crew perform music from many genres.
