@@МаусГастон When it came out in 1962, most people considered it folk music and considered Bob Dylan to be a folk music performer. How lovely it is to hear Miss Julianne’s mandolin solos at the opening and close of this piece. Sometimes this delicate, enchanting instrument can be drowned out by the more assertive instruments. Another treat would be to hear Julianne play an Irish mandolin on a track or two.
Thanks for starting off the big weekend for us with a classic so old that I was young when Bob sang it. God bless our Band and all reading this. be safe this weekend
My family saw them at the beginning of June. In fact, we made the trip just to see them. They did not disappoint. It was terrific! Wished we could have enjoyed the meet and greet, but we had to get to Top of the Rock. Also great!
Julianne confidently driving the rhythm! (No dimples and eye rolling, or big sister to the rescue). I was not expecting la-la-la in this particular song, but the vocal harmony was great. Hey Roberto! Great comment, as always! This song was simply lovely- a perfect fit for the Petersens… I notice Julianne’s mandolin skills are getting richer. Today was a perfect example, do you agree? Have a terrific weekend!
@@emmajo1925 Hi Emma. Thanks for the kind words, as always. I also read your comment and I liked it a lot. Going to pubs in Ireland and simply playing a few songs can bring great insights for the whole band. And this song proves it. Julianne has certainly grown and has become increasingly aware of her abilities, which are truly many. The idea of starting and closing the song with just the mandolin was truly brilliant. Her ability to play the instrument is improving more and more and I think she is starting to bring it with her into the recording studio too. A great weekend to you too, Emma!!!

Wow! What a poignant arrangement of one of Bob Dylan's greats. There are so many accolades I could give but I'd be here all night. During the instrumental, though, Katie's fiddle and Emmet's dobro sang to each other. Gave me goose bumps.
I can't belive how much better Julianne's new Gibson mandolin sounds than her old Eastman. I didn't even see it at first, but the chop was so clear I started looking for what had changed. Love it.

Love this! especially how it's Julianne solo at the beginning and the end, brilliant arrangement! Just the right amount of everything and the way her mandolin carries the song all the way thru. Anyone else getting "Galway Girl" vibes from the opening Mandolin chop before she starts singing ? this is top notch, a very addicting song, I can't stop listening over and over again. Great job folks !

I just realized that I've not played this for my wife. I'll bet she's gonna love Julianne's voice over Bob Dylan's any day. It just might be the thing that will make her enjoy this song.

Ciao Gianfranco. Scrivi sempre in italiano.

Starting into the weekend with a new video from "The Petersens". And with a wonderful song in a new version and arrangement 👍. What else shall I expect ? Nothing ! I feel so good and confident, thank you Petersens !!! Greetings from Germany 😘.
What a brilliant and unique version of Bob Dylan's classic "Blowin in the Wind" released by the amazing family band "The Petersens" on Bob Dylan's Birthday. This wonderful version is unique from all of the others in so many good ways. It features Julianne, the youngest who has such a lovely and sweet singing voice. Then there is the awesome mandolin solo at the beginning and end of the song, the harmonies of the three lovely sisters, particularly with the beautiful "La, La, Las" in the middle of the song and the brilliant musical mastery of each one of the band and featuring Emmett, the "Amazing Dobro Man" who is right up there with the worlds greatest players, plus all of the heart-warming smiles of these genuinely beautiful and lovable decent people. And even the outro is special featuring the keen humor of Julianne and Matt. All done live, as with other great live videos that you should check out of this band who represent everything that is right with American music today. And HAPPY BIRTHDAY and THANK YOU for all of your terrific songs TO THE GREAT BOB DYLAN, and so many, many more!

How many roads must a man walk down
Before you call him a man?
How many seas must a white dove sail
Before she sleeps in the sand?
Yes, and how many times must the cannonballs fly
Before they're forever banned?
The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind

Wonderful addition to the group and lovely performance! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ Fresh, new and beautiful! Thank you, friends! You always meet my expectations. Real Folk Art as it is!
Love this! especially how it's Julianne solo at the beginning and the end, brilliant arrangement! Just the right amount of everything and the way her mandolin carries the song all the way thru. Anyone else getting "Galway Girl" vibes from the opening Mandolin chop before she starts singing ? this is top notch, a very addicting song, I can't stop listening over and over again. Great job folks !
I totally agree! Plus, Dylan wrote so many great songs.
Jules is such a beautiful young lady. I've enjoyed watching her grow into her voice.
Julianne I really love your rendition of this timeless classic Folk Song. I can't thank you enough for doing this beautiful song. As always I look forward to the next song by the amazing Peterson.
So beautiful! We just got back from watching you all Live in Branson, MO. Love, love, love your music!!
Heard you all last week in Branson...wonderful! Loved the concert...personal, yet very professional! And I had not heard of you before! Now listening to your many beautiful ballads on Utube! My husband was so pleased to hear you have Norwegian blood!
Love it! One of my favorite songs - sung by my favorite band!
I just realized that I've not played this for my wife. I'll bet she's gonna love Julianne's voice over Bob Dylan's any day. It just might be the thing that will make her enjoy this song.
Scrivo in italiano sperando che qualcuno traduca! Siete sempre fantastici, questo mi spinge sempre di più a imparare a suonare la chitarra! Vi voglio bene sempre avanti ragazzi! Greetings from Italy 🇮🇹 Ciao Gianfranco!
Ciao Gianfranco. Scrivi sempre in italiano.
Another incredible performance! I loved the intro and outro with just Julianne and Matt playing. Thier mandolin/guitar combo was beautiful and perfectly done!
I love this song, and I love your version of it! Original singing and arrangement, bravi! And thank you. 👏❤
you kids are great, so happy for you all! god bless!!!!!
Thanks for sharing the joy of these beautiful harmonies!
Starting into the weekend with a new video from "The Petersens". And with a wonderful song in a new version and arrangement 👍.
What else shall I expect ? Nothing ! I feel so good and confident, thank you Petersens !!! Greetings from Germany 😘.
The band are playing in Europe again this summer, including Köln. There are ticket links in the description 🎉
@@Liz.Newton Hi Liz, I`ve already seen. Many thanks for your hint 👍 !
Thank you, the Petersens for this wonderful share!
Grazie ragazzi, bellissima canzone che conosco da quando ero bambino. Delle parole magnifiche che dovrebbero sempre ascoltare i nostri capi di stato. Soprattutto ai nostri giorni.
Beautiful playing and singing! Thank you.
Brilliant arrangement from the Petersens and Emmett, Love the Vocals from the Petersen sisters
I'm so excited to be going to their concert in Cork City, Ireland ! I've been a big fan for years and can't believe I'll see them live !!! Can't wait !!❤
1:46 Love the vocalizing and harmonizing! And your smiles while doing it. It makes up for the lack of harmonica in the original! ☺️
Thank you Petersens for still including my name in the credits of your musical masterpiece !!!!
It's a great honor for me and I will be forever grateful....
Beautiful cover of the song, God bless you, it's always nice to hear your angelic voice and beautiful music.

Beautiful cover of this Dylan classic👍Vocal harmonies are just perfect and so are the instrumental parts👌Thanks for sharing your amazing talent with us! Greetings from France 🇫🇷 🎶 🌹
I don't have daughters. Three sons. But if I had daughters, I'd want daughters like these.
Fantastic, Julianne! So many memories!❤
I think it's a bit unfair how an entire family can have it all like all the talent and all the good looks as well! I only found them today and I'm already addicted to their music😂❤
Amazing ❣️
Aren't they the best?
Beautiful! Julianne’s voice is perfectly fitting for this song.
This song is even more relevant now than it was when it was written.
是的❤!
My late mother would love your music and those blue dresses.
I love your music, and hope to see yall one day.
Loved the playing and the member of this family. I a listened to this video late afternoon, before sunset. This made it a wonderful moment ❤❤❤
