    So many times I've been at the range and just working on contact point. My tempo is high vs. the norm so I've had to train myself to keep all my weight low and slightly behind the ball so I can hit the ball as square as possible. I'm not the most consistent golfer in the world but it's the range time that truely develops the feel of the swing.
    At the range you just have to max out your clubs and know where they can be safe and what not.

    Thank you! Great tip and fixing early extension is priority #1 right now. Could you share any tips/feels on how to blend this concept with ground force as well as te-centering?

    • @sethmartin9999
      @sethmartin9999 6 месяцев назад +3

      For me...
      *when I "sit" well like what's demonstrated here, but end up chunking it, its usually because I'm not using enough lead leg drive. I remind myself to push HARD through lead leg on downswing. Maybe that would address what you mean by ground force.
      *And (again, for ME anyway), as far as re-centering goes.. if I'm off-center it's usually because I kept legs/hips to stiff and shifted laterally towards trail side during takeaway, instead of rotating. So I then make sure I'm rotating instead of lateral shifting, I think about pushing my trail-side back pocket towards imaginary wall behind me on takeaway and then basically starting my downswing with combo of the "sit" demonstrated here and pushing the back pocket of my lead-side towards the "wall" behind me (and including the hard lead leg drive).
      -Another potential though here: belt buckle stays centered, minimal side to side movement, belt buckle makes a smiley-face shape through swing ")" up/down/up, while staying centered.
      *The drill where you cross your arms in front of you, over a club held parallel to the ground and make slow/deliberate swings (while getting clubhead close to the ground on downswing and SQUARED by impact point), also the drill where you hold a ball between forearms during a swing are 2 drills that help me focus on rotating hips and shoulders instead of being too stiff and over-using arms
      I'm no pro by any means, but sometimes just coming across queues that "click" with you are helpful so I thought I'd share what someone taught me

    A squad is made by inclining the pelvis around the hip rotators. This causes the upper body moved forward with the basement of pelvis cage (the lower hip)moved backward.
    There are two leg reactions to this, one is the legs will bend more for balance keeping, the other is the knees will opened wider because of the configuration of the femurs(thighbone) .
    The so called hip rotation is actually the inclining down and straightening up of the pelvis around the hip rotators, at the right sequence, of course.
    On the other hand, if we don't focus on the motion of the pelvis, it would not be able to keep the head at the same position before impact, as Min Woo Lee does.

    As a PGA Professional I disagree with you.
    What Grant says makes sense. But you're saying to feel like the left hip pushes back and turns. This will cause spinning out with the lower body and getting even more stuck. hitting push slices. Or saving it enough with the hands but then hitting over draws and hooks.
    It's important to push down without manipulation of the hips. They need to stay connected to the swing.
    So keep your right knee from moving around and towards the ball too early.
    Rather feel a slide of the right knee towards your left.
