    Not sure if your camera is different for some reason. However I have the Ferret Pro and I think you have one of the adapters already in the camera.
    Unscrew the brass adapter and it should then accept any of the Super Rods. The ferret pro works fine with all the rods I have and the short flexi rod that comes with the ferret.

    Shelly devices have an eco mode that has a secret… a secret worthy of a Big Clive video!
    They (Shelly 1+) use about 1w normally, 0.7w in eco, and less than 0.1w in eco with Bluetooth and the Shelly named local hotspot disabled!
    This means a well setup Shelly uses 1:20 the power of a mechanical mains timer while idle. They also support astronomical timing schedules locally, so you can have lights come on a hour before sunset, and off at 1am completely natively.
    (I only buy the 1+ and 1+pm devices, the round ones are a previous generation, and the 1L senses 4v inducted voltage on mains switching.)

    The Ferret cameras originated in New Zealand and were distributed by superrod until they copied it. Nice video and looks awesome.

    They downlights look spot on I’ll need to try them next time I’m doing a soffit job that’s tight for space.
    Never heard of they Shellys before but pretty cool and will need to give them a bash at some point as well.

    Fair play on this one mate, simple job made very fiddly by lack of access…..sterling performance with that rod and chain! Might have to get myself that kit, looks damn useful 👍🏼
    Those Ansell mini spots do look smart!

    Another great video,shame about the inspection camera,I bought a Depstech endoscope camera from Amazon for around £30 to look for a leak under my bathroom bathroom floor,didn't think it would be up to much for that price but it's brilliant and it has 4 meters of flexible cable with various end to attach to it

    The Shellys are great, I have about 15 of them around the house. The newer versions don't require L and I to be bridged out. They work nateivly with alot of smart home systems and are a European company!

      @@Cablesmith I am indeed an electrician. But I don't do domestic or commercial anymore. About 10 years ago I took a job as a maintenance electrician in a factory. So I deal with plc's, and inverters most day's.

    Shelly devices rock just re wired my house with shelly Pro2s (din rail) all lighting back to a panel build. The Pro series can be connected with cat 5 so don't have to rely on WiFi

      @@Cablesmith id post a pic if i could. Works extremely well I'm using volt free switching on the relays with lovely schnieder retractive face plates. You should check out Shelly Europe same very good value products.

    On the inspection camera take out/ or use the converter brass fitting find the one that fits your rods and should be good to go 👍🏻

      Someone has just pointed this out to me 🤦🏻‍♂️ didn’t think one would be pre fitted ! It was mega tight too because I tried with just my fingers first time haha

    Great product that Shelly device. I wonder they could add an option of a Quinetic-style switch to control it as well as the physical switch. Would that be useful?

      I’ve actually got a soffit light job coming up where I’ll also be using the Quinetic with the Shelly ! How strange you asked. It will work the same (I presume, never tested just got the wiring diagram in my mind) 😂
      Oh, and I know about the spam 😂 I’m just joking back for people to laugh at haha

      @@Cablesmith it will work the same. The SW1 input on the Shelly just requires 240V fed into it to be ON, so a Quinetic module could feed it.

      @@Cablesmith no worries I think there is different brass bits for different size rods for example m4 m5 m6 thread. I'm not 100% on the sizes but I know my kit came with them

Thanks dude 👏🏼 it was bloody tight to get off tho, I was going to use my grips on it during this video but didn’t want to damage anything if I planned to return it.

      Not with the Hue app, that’s just for Philips. Got it set up with Google home app 😀. Pretty sure you can connect with Alexa also

    I have same problem with that insert from the Ferret camera. I thought my had a defect but it looks that is a lot problem. As you said £150 to get something that not works, very dissatisfied about Ferret.

      Someone commented about that just being an adapter for different brands of rods, so I’ve been to check and they’re right 🤦🏻‍♂️ it comes off but it’s bloody tight !!
