    Thank you! This is probably the best, most informative video on keeping anthurium waroqueanum out there. At least the best I have seen! Thanks for the guidance on leaf turnover due to changing the plant’s environment, the play-by play on the plant’s development over a year, and the definitive proof that it is a climber! These amongst many other tips are sooo helpful! ❤️

    I can tell you what would happen if you took it out of your cabinet. I had to with mine because the leaves have gotten way too big for my cabinet (80cm leaves)... put her into my living room at 55-60% humidity and the result is that she's only able to keep 1-2 leaves at a time, has big issues unfurling new leaves (it's literally impossible without the leaf having holes, cuts and other damage) and they crisp up quite fast. It's a shame though, they're in my top 3 most beautiful plants but I do not have and can not have a walk-in grow tent.

    This was thee most informative clip I've seen thus far!
    I recently purchased a baby queen in Sphagnum Moss that i keep in a glass cloche on top of a tray of leca in water on a heat mat (end of winter nz) humidity 70-85% 22-26°. It came with a small amount of yellow leaf dots particularly 1 leaf & that leaf hasn't grown in the 2wks 3 days I've owned but the newest leaf that was unfurling once arrived, has grown tremendously, 15cm since. I watered once arrived as the moss was dry then again (only a good spray 3 days ago & today I gave it its 1st fertilised water with Dyno Gro Pro Foliage & I've since noticed the oldest leaf has turned sideways & the spotted leaf has curled. What have I done wrong? I'm new to anthuriums or any rare plants & this plant cost me a small fortune. Please help?

    • @sydneyplantguy
      @sydneyplantguy  2 года назад +1

      Keep in mind that a plant will drop old leaves when it’s stressed & you only just got it. As long as it has healthy roots the leaves will keep coming :)
