After each video I run to my plants and check for new leaves and roots and if they are all healthy. 😊 You get so much desire to try something yourself again and to experiment. Thanks for the clear box idea. Already have enough candidates to stay there.😂 Greeting from Germany

🤩Best plant channel out there. Thanks for sharing your game changing plant knowledge. I hope my new little queen will achieve. some great growth as well!
I’ve just finished my plant chores listening to one of your old videos and now I’m treating myself to the new one with a coffee 😂 The Queen looks amazing ❤
Brad was being adorable as always 🥰. Really enjoy watching your propagating videos, the proof is always in the pudding and your puddings are always delicious 👌💚🪴
Hi Sydney and Bret! Never doubted your technique and green thumb but right now I am a different level fan! The queen is the ultimate test and you nailed it:)
Great results with your Queen 💚 Go moss poles💪... they're the best for climbers!!! Doesn't get any clearer than that Jan. The pole is an extension of the pot...and your Queen's moss roots is your 'proof in the pudding' 😄 Well done👍🏼
Thanks to you, I am more confident looking after my plants, and they look great. You are so specific explaining everything and very clear in your words. Thank you.
Thank for this very helpful tips on growing and care for the queen Anthurium. I recently acquired one and is currently resting in sphagnum moss while I wait for the parts I ordered to make the moss pole that will save some of my limited growing space. Bradley is a born supervisor kitty, always walking around and checking what you're doing lol
Wow,those pole roots are goal’s! Nice job,you give me confidence to chop and not be afraid! 😅 Between The Manjula Pothos and Brad I didn’t hear a word you said. 😂😂 Can you please team up with Bunnings and get more choices for substrate amendment’s and also more size options of clear pots! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🪴👌🏻 Just wishful thinking. Take care Jan. Natalie :)
Such a great video and awesome results!! I’m encouraged to see all the new growth! I got my Queen 8 months ago and immediately lost it’s only leaf. I nurtured that stump all summer (by leaving it alone! Haha) here in Canada and now I have a baby leaf similar to your singleton planted stem. I’m glad I’ve watched your videos enough to know how delicate the leaves are at this stage. Can’t wait to put it on a pole. Also, loved to close up of roots and new growth :)
Nice progress with the queens, love seeing update videos. I’m officially caught up with your videos but we leave for vacation tomorrow so come next week I’ll be behind again. Thanks for yet another great video! 🫅
I love watching your videos with coffee in the morning before work. I was wondering if I could suggest a topic. I am having trouble with my philodendron inflorescence turning brown and falling off before opening. Wondering what your experience with this is. I am new to aroids this year and am loving the advice you have, especially the moss poles! Hoping you can help with the inflorescence problem. I’d love to see one open
Hey :) thanks :) i cut all my philo inflos off :P from what I heard philodendron pollination is tricky & takes a long time so haven’t really had the desire to try it yet :)
Thanks for the reply! I’m not really ready for pollination just yet either. When I seen the bud starting to grow I was like yeah my plant is super happy! Then about a week later it turned brown and fell off and I was like ok. Maybe not that happy! Again I love your videos. Your tutorials are amazing and so informative.
I am constantly impressed with you, SPG. There’s such a practicality to your description of your processes and the plant’s behavior, I understand more about growing plants EVERY time I watch (or rewatch)one of your videos. I literally carry you with me throughout the house while I do plant chores. My only problem is Brad. He’s such a show off. He taunts with his uncharacteristic cat quality of leaving house plants alone. He needs a kitten friend who can show him how to destroy plants. Then you can make videos with great ideas on how to keep the cats from ruining the jungle:)
Omg you're truly the plant king..I can't imagine the roots of that queen anthurium..you did well hon...pls show more of that beautiful pussycat to us..we in canada love him too.
wow 10 weeks ago was it, right after that video I went out and bought a queen for myself and I've probably had it for 6-7 weeks but just put it on a grow vertical pole w/ fern fiber 4 weeks ago. It's since dropped a leaf and a new leaf is coming.
I have ordered a queen anthurium and will receive it only in several more weeks. I hope it goes well even if I do not have an ikea cabinet. I have a humidifier, and I am hoping it will be enough.
🫅 Great stuff! Thanks for this Jan - very timely as i finally got a little baby queen for my cabinet - as soon as it needs potting on - i will defo drop it on a moss pole :) - think there is any benefit to putting a forgetii on a pole? Mine does seem to grow upwards more than my crystallinums. Mucho appreciated :)
Yan this is an amazing development! 2 months is a great time to grow for anthuriums ! Is this anthurium waroqueanum Esmeralda species? They are sturdyier and not so finicky like the actual Waroqueanum!
G'day from hot sunny Adelaide. What was the substrate for the tubs please? Mty eyes also itchy and sore. And it this the first time I using it in the poles? Also..was a gorgeous 😍 pothos on the right side of you,? Ta muchly. Tomorrow will go back step by step on your poles poles. I managed to get a hold of a 5 Kg bag of sphagnum from Queensland..Garden Superstore. Also..brad ..darling Bradley..would love a cuddle and snuggle.
Do you have any suggestions for getting roots out of a closed moss pole? I purchased circular plastic poles that don't have any way of opening them....I'm thinking chop and extend is gonna be a nightmare for me lol. Also love Brad being a total ham for the camera ❤
The twist on ones? I saw them advertised the other day and screamed in my head ‘noooooooooooooo’ … it will make your life so hard when it comes to chopping or propagating :/ I would personally not use them
I imported 4 of them, 3 different varieties. They're all chonks in my prop box… Actually, the seedling died and the stem rotted. I'm going to try the Esmeralda. I've heard she's hardier.

My friend has one and is blooming. Is it better to keep the flower on or cut the flower??
You can try polinate it but i personally cut them :)
What type of fertilizer do you use and how often
The nutrients are linked in the description & I use it as per the recommendation on the bottle :)

How do you get your plants to get so large
Check out my moss pole playlist:)
Hi can the moss pole be used for all Anthuriums types to grow roots?
Yes :) not all anthuriums climb and the ones that climb are usually quite slow climbers but they still appreciate a pole :)
@@sydneyplantguy thanks 😊
- where do you get your large clear pots.?
Bunnings :)
@@sydneyplantguy - Thank You for the information, unfortunately they don't ship to the United States.

You're braver than me. 🥺
I am so scrared to even look at my Queens, in a grow tent with a mother light and no leaves from shipping 😢

So after watching this I'm wandering why we don't just grow all our plants in moss, this is actually a serious question
you technically could but it's expensive & inside a pot it has poor drainage so could cause root issues
