Nice work! Ive never propagated anthuriums so this was neat to see. Thanks for including an update. You are one of the few channels that actually shows results!!
I have a love-hate relationship with Anthurium, aka Flamingo Lily. They are beautiful plants but they have always challenged me. I recently picked up two Flamingo Lily plants on a Managers Special for $6.00 each. They were not in the best of shape to begin with but I thought I would give it a try and revive them back to health. They were overcrowded in the pots so I repotted and separated them. I ended up with 5 so far. What I have learned is they need to be misted and watered only when they are bone dry. I am determined to keep these ladies alive. I look forward in learning more about tropical house plants. Thank you for sharing this video. New subber here. MountainAngel CA USA
I guess its time for me to try perlite. That was a great video and because of your informative videos I am not afraid of cutting leaves and encouraging new growth thank you.
Awesome I love that mini geeenhouse pot with a top. That’s really cool. I’m going to see if my Dollar Store or General has those. If I find on Amazon I’m sure they’ll be expensive but I def need some of those 👍🏼
I keep mine for a very long time. If it starts to look green or smelly you can boil it then strain it to disinfect. When staining, dump water in outside garden just incase sediment clogs drains. Better safe than sorry.
i love those lil min i greenhouses from dollarama. I wish I had bought another set! Have to wait until next summer. Also thanks for this video, I just propagated one of my anthuriums based on these steps, wish me luck! its either a Forgetti x with crystallinum or a Luxurians x with crystal mag ahaha i totally forget. will find out when the leaves start growing again
So I keep watching videos….I figured out from this one I was working with an anthurium STEM. It’s been in water, at a slant (rock under it). I finally have 2 different places towards one end where baby leaves have come thru……..with a third one sprouting. Other roots and things are sprouting out pretty much all over, but not from the very top of the stem. Is this normal? Would each one of these leaves on the stem be a plant or can I plant the stem in dirt sideways? Thanks for any help!!
I have a good question. Not just fot anthuriums. When we cut off the rest and leave just a stump in the pot, do we need to trim some roots away? I had this situation where my veitchii and 69686 roots were starting to rot away afterwards. because big root ball and no leaves (?). am I doing something wrong? It's as if it becomes a problem - roots would stop sucking water in, and if I stop watering they dry up too much (which also causes root rot afterwards). Is there a solution for these kinds of situations? should I change the soil into more porous..? What am I missing?
@@planttherapy1860 This one made me pretty nervous but I was confident at the same time. This was a bit more of an expensive plant so that's what made me and her simple chopping it up 😂
Hi Jeff, my anthurium leaf suddenly yellowing after two days of transfer it into semi hydro pumice (ran out of perlite) from soil. Should I cut the leaf since the root is still okay (not rotting)? What is your opinion on this?

Thanks! I was actually pretty nervous cutting this up as it was quite expensive lol if you are ever wanting this variety then I have one for you lol
Your channel has quickly become one of my favorites. So professional, clear and concise. Really enjoyable!
Thanks so very much, deh

I love your videos! You inspire me being from Northern America that my plant dreams are possible 🌸
Yes...you can do it!
I love seeing your amazing plants.
Thanks so much 😊
Good, informative video that cuts straight to the chase without unnecessary faff. I'm now subscribing.
Hey jannertfol! Thanks so much for joining the channel
Do you keep the stems with a leaf but no roots in the prop box until they grow roots?
Ya. Eventually it will get a root from the new stem.....exactly like the regale cutting in the video
You have some cute growth points on those cuttings!
Thanks, Carol

That is so awesome!!!!
Good job on the growing! You know I love it! 💚
Thanks Aja! Do you have one of these? Perhaps a trade lol
@@EverythingPlants I don’t! Definitely I’ll try and find something you might be interested in!
for rooting the cuttings to use perlites, chunky mix or moss, which one do you prefer, please?
Great video!
Thanks Kris!
Thank you for sharing
Thanks so much for watching!
Thank you. ❄️💚🙃
Thanks for watching Judy!
Could you do a video showing the growing eye on an anthurium chonk or how to propagate anthuriums?
I have this one from a while ago.....I will add that to the list of future videos
Hi, what kind of soil are you using for anthurium cutting. Please make a video on that too.

I found those parts with the tops at the dollar store in the springtime when they start to bring out their summer stock
Very informative 👏 Thanks
How offend do you change the perlite in the prop box?
I don't.....it's been the same stuff for over a year now.

Hey Mona, I think so too!
@@EverythingPlants I had to watch again! I'm trying to get bolder about chopping my plants

Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching, Guy With A Plant.
@@EverythingPlants been watching and enjoying for the past 2 years 😃
My golden pothos cutting have been in soil like 2 months.. no new grow, but it is hevily rooted, what should i do? Wait another 2 months ??
I don't know your setup but my first thought would be perhaps not getting enough light
@@EverythingPlants it is under growlight, it is also top cutting..its not 100% direct light but very close tho.

I would leave it for now and then once it turns completely yellow then just cut it off
@@EverythingPlants Ahh, I see. Thanks Jeff! Your video is always informative👍👍.
@@youunijayden375 are there other leaves on it?
@@EverythingPlants Sadly, only 1 leave
Love your videos❤
Thanks so much!
Very informative
👍
Thanks, Dana!
Maybe the top cutting rotted bc it was touching the wet side of the box??
Quite possible....I try and keep anything off the edges and top of the box
Why some leafs are deformed 😳😳
Humidity or watering.....
