This is great bc it’s how VN people really speak. We students spend countless hours learning text book stuff, only to find that’s not how it’s done in daily life. Vô tay 👏
Cảm ơn Annie! Tôi cảm thấy rất hài lòng khi tôi xem video này.
I really enjoyed the literal translations alongside the intended meanings in this lesson. It helps to understand the building blocks of the etymology, which is so foreign to me! Cheers
I’m very glad you noticed and appreciated that!
Cảm ơn Annie. Tôi sẽ học thuộc lòng và cố gắng hơn.
謝謝老師

Hi There, Why do you use giao vien for teacher? Where is it from? Is it instead of ong thay or cô giáo ? I am originally from My Tho and left Vietnam when I was young.
“Giáo viên” is the word you can use to describe your job, as in “I’m a teacher” or “I’m a doctor.” Ông thầy” or “cô giáo” can be used to talk about a specific teacher, as in “ông thầy dạy toán của tui” (my math teacher) or “cô giáo lớp 1” (my first grade teacher). Hope it helps!
