I got back to do a night of camping at the place I lived for years. The campground was kind of abandoned for a year or so and I parked my RV there for ages for free. Some of this adventure was filmed for an old Boondocking documentary I filmed. Truly a beautiful campground and my favorite place on earth.

Steve man, stop apologizing for not doing a stealther. This was great, looks like a hella nice place to spend a night in a tent. I equally love all your content. Cheers!
He’s Canadian… it’s their favorite word😂
This slap stick campy comedy could work.
2chainz just read that comment and said truuuuuuu
Haha, yeah. I liked watching him be comfortable for once in a long time.
@@spencer8699 we do use it a lot lol
Rest in peace to Steve's Beautiful Wife. I love you Steve we are here for you. No matter what. I began camping again thanks to you and after suffering a mental breakdown and relapse on amphetamines, I almost took my life and was hospitalized, when I got out I just binged your content and I've found something that makes me feel whole again. I feel better and you're a reason for that. Thank you.
I started watching steve a couple of months before his wife died. Hearing him reference her in this earlier videos is chilling. RIP
hope you're doing well
I am sober, but I have since lost my family because of my mental illness. I am trying to get my life back, it's very difficult. Steve is still quite a help
@@taaffmaster
I don't know why, but I found it hilarious when Steve tells everyone he drank all the Au Jus.
Find someone who looks at you the same way Steve looks at driftwood!
When I watched this, I could just feel there was something special about Steve's time on the beach. Then the ending? Right in the feels. Thanks for sharing this special place with us, Steve! Loved the journey!
Those personal last seconds were deep Steve, thanks for sharing them; I'm sure many of us were touched and needed something that emotional and personal in this cold entertainment thing that is the Internet. Bless you, Beautiful Wife, Crazy Neighbor, Garbage Cat and all the fans and subscribers. Let's meet here next Thursday!
Thanks! That was the 3rd take to try and hold myself together well enough. I’m back home safely now and we all say hi to you!
@@campingwithsteve ✌✌✌
Got me teared up a bit at the end Steve. You got a million people who love ya. Glad you got to go back home. Getting emotional is a great thing sometimes!!! Safe travels home! It's great to watch a normal guy like you Steve!!! Cheers!!!
That end clip really hit me. I'm glad you're in such a good place, Steve, and I'm very proud of all the progress you've made and continue to make! We love you and everything you do for us!
"I thought I had life all figured out. I didn't. But, ah, It always packs a punch coming back here". Couldn't have said it more impactfully or beautifully Steve.
Brother all I got to say is about the last 3 seconds of the video. And that is I know exactly what you’re saying. Also know you have complete strangers who truly are so proud of you and are truly happy for you Steve. I’ve been around since the boon docking video in the RV with your pup and it’s been a fun ride. Much love and respect my Canadian brother!
“I drank the rest of the Au Jus, just so ya know”. Lmao.
Also, thanks for sharing that tender moment at the end Steve. ❤️ Life always comes full circle that way.
That was awesome!
that must be ''Step #3''
Soooooo much salt.....
The just so ya know part made me laugh so hard lol

This is very possible the last camping with Steve I'll watch in 2023. Can't think of a better way to end an old year. Can't wait to see where you go in 24. Thanks steve.
"I tend to run 50% stealth / 50% not stealth"

Seriously, after 4 years, this is still my absolute favorite notification to get. I was just telling my wife about the time you threw the pan of boiling water in the air, and it turned to snow. When you first set up the woodstove in the shanty in your backyard. It was the first video of yours I watched. I don't even think you had 100k subs then. I've been hooked on these videos ever since. Amazing how much this channel has grown. You never disappoint 👍
I agree 100%
That’s was a good episode
The first videos I watched, was when he was posting during the time he was camping/living out of a tent, while I think he was going to school.
Yes i love this channel too it's always a highlight of every Thursday evening for me to enjoy
Same!!!!!
That was a sweet moment in the last few seconds steve. You deserve all the success you've achieved! Can't wait for a 1 million sub celebration!
i think the one thing steve is missing is a dog. .. you'd much less suspicious on the stealth camps roaming around in the bush.
@@villiantwo
It would have to be a quiet dog, though, on his Stealth Trips (especially).
Steve totally has that "just got home vibe" in this episode. Just kick back and relax while you crack open a cold one
When you go camping, I go camping. I don’t watch you because you sleep in a tent on the side of the road or in a campground.
I watch your videos because you’re real. Your explaining your every move, and just being you is why I like your videos. You’re not pretending to be something else you’re not pretending to be king of the world you’re just being you and that is entertainment enough.
You’ve come a long way Steve. Couldn’t have happened to a nicer dude
Yep, totally agree and 1 million rewards for being so, coming soon!
Right! That algorithm is on 🔥
the past month has been climbing

1 million subscribers are on that horizon 😮🎉
Here I am, 30 years old and agreeing with Steve. I thought I had it all figured out, still don’t. Got me tearing up a bit at the end, humble beginnings always end in happy tears
"...well last night I drank the rest of the Au Jus...", cracked me up and favorite quote ever! The shame in his voice :)
Steve you don’t know how much the videos mean to at least some of your subs. I get such peace from them. Doesn’t matter which kind.
Literally was about to close RUclips as I hadn't seen you posted, then the notification came up! Over the moon 👌😂

It's all about the sensations and emotios evoked. Greetings from Chile!

What I like about Steve is that he appreciates everything. I wonder if this attitude developed in his boondocking days.
*homeless days you mean

Sorry I was too shy to comment while you were on the beautiful Island I get to call home. Seeing you camp behind the sign to my hometown is always going to blow me away. I'll never not shout "Hunker Down" as I drive by it! I just wanted to thank you for showcasing the island and surrounding areas with such a gentle attitude. You're always so respectful and you really can tell how kind of a heart you have. Continue carrying yourself with such grace, Steve. You've somehow become a friend even though I've never met you.
Your videos, whether or not they're stealthy, are the highlight of so many people's weeks. If I had the income (I've got a sob story that no one wants to hear) I would be in your step 2 club so fast. So cheers, friend! Keep making your beautiful videos, we love them!!
That last 3 seconds hit hard!!! Your a helluva man Steve the joy you bring to people weekly is unmeasurable. I’ve watched you at low sad times in my life and even when feeling down you have managed to make me crack a smile and forget my troubles even for. Few minutes.
Keep doing what your doing my man you are something special!!
Thanks so much Brendan!

And Steve hunkers down while the tireless sea grinds the zillions of rocks into what will someday be a soft sandy beach where children frolic and play. Pleasant dreams Stevie.

Hit me right in the feels at the end there brother. You've come such a long way be proud of your achievements since the early days
The last few seconds of the video really got me, some of us have been with you for sometime now. We’ve all come a long way. This is by FAR, the best long content on RUclips in a LONG TIME. I just stumbled across your channel a few weeks ago Steve (Roundabout Stealth camp). I can tell you from nearly 12 - 14 Years of watching RUclips, your channel is definitely up there with the greats. You've struck content gold, and with you just being you it makes a seemingly "regular old camping" video into something unique to you. Glad the RUclips Algorithm done something right for once.
You gained a Subscriber and I actually turned on your Notification bell. I never turn it on haha you're one of the few!

That is an awesomely wonderful spot...beautiful!!!
If you have not seen Steve's old Boondocking Documentary it's a must watch.
It’s so good!
The sound of the waves at night would cause me to fall asleep immediately, even if I was laying on top of those rocks. What a gorgeous campsite!
The cold wind would prevent you to sleep!
@@levagabond9489 you don't feel that cold wind when you're in an Arctic sleeping bag inside a tent

Why is this channel so comforting? Beautiful area! I love camping with Steve
A "care package" at a booze store! I can imagine, "yeah, when a guy called Steve comes in, give him a whole heap of booze". Best community on the planet right here for sure xx And wanting a "nice rock" from the beach as a present from a trip is why Canadians rule so very much :)
I am from KY and collect rocks! But I don’t give them to anyone, they are all mine. So, yeah, Steve is much nicer than me. 🙄
How do i get the "Go pick up your free beer from the beer store ticket!?"
The tent peg/poles flying out of the bag at 3.45 absolutely killed us. Rewatched it over and over 😂
Hahahahahah
Nice catch I missed it the first time
Great video Steve, no need to apologize for the "slower" or "less exciting" camps like this one. It was obvious this place has a lot of meaning for you. Your videos are always like watching a friend on an adventure, no matter the subject. My Friday morning tradition since I discovered the channel about a year ago... watching with a big cup of coffee.
Your dedication to getting yourself in scenic camera shots is well noticed. Massive props guy!
Them feels in the last 2 seconds of the video Steve. A location that clearly means a great deal.
relax man, we come to watch you enjoy yourself. Seeing you enjoy a spot is way better than the stress of stealthy stuff. If you're happy we're happy
You don’t even need to do stealth camping. I’ll listen to your stories from the kitchen table you just have a likeable personality Steve! Gotta love you Canadians ha! Love from Australia 🇦🇺
So Steve, I'm a recent subscriber,(couple of months), and I love your videos. The last few seconds of this one really got me because I could feel the profoundness of your emotions, but I really didn't understand. So, I watched your full length feature on boondocking, and now I get it. I did this while at work 😅. I could see in your countenance at that time the pain of a world that let you down. But now I see a man that is at peace with himself. Don't doubt it Steve, you did have it all figured out babk then, because it led you to where you are now. Thanks for the videos and Godspeed my friend!
Good to go back to your old roots and reflect how far you come along, Steve.
Every Thursday I think to myself... Yay, today it's time for camping with Steve! I always look forward to your videos and you never disappoint... Wonderful video Steve! I laughed when you pulled the tent out of the bag and parts went flying... I rewound and watched it again, lol!😂 I just love your videos... Can't get enough. 👍😁
You have a big heart, man. And we need more people willing to share theirs. Thanks for taking us back down memory lane. 🙏🏻❤️

That was an emotional camping spot to return to Steve. ⛺️ Its your choice if it’s stealth camping or not, I enjoy watching both. And of course another tasty looking meal. 🇬🇧
Steve, BOONDOCKING is what got me into your stuff years ago and inspired me like nothing else has before. Thanks so much for this video, you don't know what it means to your old fans and the little people.
"Well, last night I drank the rest of the au jus. I didn't even dip bread in it... just so you know " -best quote from Steve of 2022 so far.
He didn't Finnish with the part about the bad heartburn.
Enjoyed the treehouse, all the lights, campfire and friendship with Crazy Neighbor
Steve, please remember your subscribers want you to be safe. Regular camping
videos are good for camping tips. Canada is beautiful. America wants you to be
safe. You are one of our favorite Canadians. "Things are coming up Steve".
The problem is so many people are living in cars, vans or RV's now and looking for free spots and then they unfortunately leave a mess behind when they leave or they set up a more permanent camp which ruins it for the people who don't overstay their welcome and clean up after themselves. Now these access areas are blocked or have signs up that there is no overnight parking/camping. I think it's only going to get harder to stealth camp or overnight park free as more people are out on the roads living in vehicles.
That's why we all need to do like Steve and pick up a little extra when we leave. We can try like hell to outweigh the lazies 😉
I think you need to look up the term stealth camping
It’s mostly shitty young people partying and shitting everywhere. They haven’t realized that they’re actually shitting where they are eating.
@@omecronrodneydheel349 I said it's going to get harder to do those things.

Hey Steve, I'm from Florida and love your videos! I was introduced to your channel by one of my neighbors last year. You inspired me to get a tent! I haven't been able to camp in it yet though because all the darn snowbirds have booked all the sites at all the parks near me up until mid-May 😂
You have some of the most relaxing and genuine channels I've seen on the platform. In an age where just about every video on RUclips is extremely fast-paced and filled with constant jump-cuts, it's a relief to see a large channel make more slower-paced videos just being themself. Sounds like you need to find some public land or do some stealth camping 😉
You'll want to use the tent before it gets too hot, I'd be searching for a spot right now like a hawk.

That ending got the emotions going
Steve, you are such a beautiful human. I love that you showed us just how important that area is to you and that you are bringing your wife such sweet treasures. My husband gathered small rocks from important places in our lives and gave me a box of rocks for our anniversary. Meant the absolute world to me and now we grab a pebble from places we go.

It’s just so….Steve! Love ya man. Beautiful scenery - I can see why it’s your favorite beach campsite ❤️
I knew you'd have the jus, we would too
I watched one video from you two weeks ago. It was the first video I had ever watched. That single video alone got me hooked binge-watching nonstop.
It wasn't about whether you were at a campground or stealthing it in a culvert, it was simply because I got to witness a man truly enjoy the beauty of the world.
In the last two weeks alone, your videos and you as a person have completely opened my mind from your love for nature, camping, and just being content with the simplest things life has to offer. Thank you Steve.
That sentimental bit at the end really got me... Another Steve Wallis classic.
The camping storm video was my first ever camping with Steve video I found, and I’m still here two years later for the ride!! ❤️
I discovered you a couple of weeks ago and can't stop watching. You have become my favorite youtuber!! Absolutely love your content!!
Thank you Steve for inviting us into your world!

Every Thursday I look forward to cracking a step two with Steve. It doesn't matter if it's behind a sign along the highway or a camping ground next to the beach. Keep being awesome!
I was born and raised on the B.C. coast but spent most of my life inland. The sound of the ocean was music to my heart and I could almost smell it! Thanks Steve!
If you ever need a break, i think we will understand. 1 video per week is a hellish pace to keep up along side how hectic life can be. I liked all of your house videos you did because it was the real you and that is why anyone watches, because we like you. It don't matter what you do in the video man. Let us know if you need a break too
The emotion at the end was pretty wholesome man. I think many of us can relate
The sound of the waves is heavenly.

GLAD YOU WENT TO YOUR HAPPY PLACE STEVE! Im sure this feels like a job sometimes and its nice to see you truly enjoy yourself stress free! Looked like you were on step 6 or 7 when you were flipping them grilled cheeses (I hope so) I loved this episode.
I don’t think I’ve seen too many more of your videos where you show such happiness. This is a great video this week, purely for that. Enjoy life Steve 🙂
The whole stretch between Sooke and Port Renfrew is great.
WOW, I can't believe it has been 2 years since Beach Storm Camping. Time has sure passed by and I am glad that you were able to get back some of that nostalgia. Thank you so much for the special shout out at the 14:40 mark in the video. It really means a lot to me coming from you. All the best to you Steve and always remember to follow your nose my friend!
My favorites: the Beach Storm video, the Badlands of Canada with a town named Steveville, and the freeway divider video where you were dropped off on side of the freeway.
All great videos! One of my all time favourites for some reason, is the inflatable kayak stealth one. I want to get an inflatable kayak next year. And make a Dakota fire pit!
We're here for you, Steve. Stealth camping or casual camping or even something weird like a bubble wrap gazebo tent. The common denominator for all of them, the MAIN draw, is ol' Steve.
Thank you for the hours of good times. Here's to many, many more.
That campsite ain't "basic", not by a long shot. Its beautiful.
I live my adult life like a housecat hating the idea of anything outdoors. However, years of watching Steve have really got me wanting to try to camp one day.
Well , we are waiting...
Its easy man steve makes it way hard on himself for added fun 😂 thats how easy it is. Worst part is having to pack up and go home, not in the sense that you want to stay and dont wanna go home so much as its just annoying packing everything up especially sleeping bags and tents back into their bags which in sure youve witnessed steve struggle with even after all his years of experience 😂 go for it man
I think its coleman brand i may be wrong but theres a tent thats not super pricey at all and it folds out so easy you dont have to run rods thru the vinyl each and every single time it just collapses so easy, get that and an air matress, some trail mix and your preferred step 2 and youre good to go. Maybe sleeping bag depending where you are i live in the south so its rarely needed
There are also foam style yoga mats if you prefer that instead of air matress. I used one for years its not bad but man some camping places around my way are so bumpy and lumpy 😂 you have to find a spot that contours to your body lol. You may find nice flat places like steve shown in this video and you can just lay on the sleeping bag
Don't do it, just continue to live vicariously through these videos. The outdoors sucks.
I feel like people should give Steve a like when they watch his videos. He deserves them. Such a wholesome nice man. He's literally a personality men should look up to. As of this comment there are nearly 100 THOUSAND views but like 10k likes. Come on y'all, it's a tap on your screen or click of your mouse to you but it's money for Steve
Totally agree :) I have tried to mention this for about a month now.. should be brought up much more because I feel like many people forget and they can start to make it a habit :)
I feel like many people, like me, like the video as soon as it pops up, before watching.
This beach is so stunning. I really loved the Beach Storm featuring beautiful wife.
Even the tent poles were excited to get back out there.
