SCP-053 is a Euclid class and appears to be a small 3 year old girl. Any humans over the age of 3 who make eye contact with, physically touch, or remain around SCP-053 for longer than 10 minutes will rapidly become irrational, paranoid, and homicidal.

For everyone who doesn't know, the most-upvoted canon between these 2 SCPs are that the Young Girl is the Horseman of Death and the Hard-to-Kill Reptile is her steed.
I'd think it more likely she would be not death, but the embodiment of War, as she triggers murderous rage in others (warfare on a small localized scale).

The girl had a tantrum, which caused the parents to send her to adoption, but her posting addressed was accidentally changed to the facility. When she met the lizard, she cried. This made her learn lizard language.

Why not just contain them together if she make them docile then she balances them out so she could have a friend and the lizard would be contained for however long it live since the girl can’t die and they would both be happy
It could end very badly.
It's easy to forget, given that she's an adorable little toddler, but both 053 and 682 are about equally dangerous. No one's sure what would happen if they were together in the long term, but there's always a chance that the two would be *more* dangerous together, rather than less.
Even though 682 doesn't seem to want to harm people when she's around, giving her food and water might be dangerous if something goes wrong, and *not* giving her food and water might be worse if she becomes distressed and 682 becomes agitated.
Then, since 682 is intelligent and seems to care about her...well, she might find more of a father figure than a simple friend. Having her "raised" by something that hates humanity with a burning passion could end very, very badly.
Housing two dangerous SCPs together, no matter how cute one of them is, is just a bad idea.

It's important to know that when personnel came in to seperate scp-053 and scp-682 again, scp-682 attacked the soldier regardless of being docile only a few moments ago. This means that the creature is only docile to the girl, and still possesses the ability to harm anyone.

Considering that she actually likes 682, and she is basically immortal they could potentially use her as a permanent warden for the lizard, would likely greatly decrease the amount of damage it does on a regular basis.
That's what you would do IRL, but for the every expanding SCP stories, fan-theories and hand-canons SCP-682 has to be a rogue element, people love coming up with new ideas of how to deal with that mildly perturbed gecko.

I think the interaction between 682 can be explained in a lot of way
1: the natural adaption to make her anomaly safe is docility.
2: the young girl does not count as alive in the sense that most living things 682 hates are alive.
3. 682 recognises 053 as a kindred spirit that will cause more deaths alive than dead.
4. A mixture of all the above.
I thought that 682 knew that attacking the girl would backfire, like it killed others who tried. So it was forced to do nothing, while the girl was full of joy. After the girl was gone, 682 killed a lot of personnel to let off the additional aggression, which builded up during this visit.
Or is there some cannon about these two?
@@Appolyon There is, but cannonization in the SCP world is highly individualistic. Personally I assume that the natural adaption theory is correct, and 682 simply becomes docile and "friendly" as adaption. I doubt that it fully knows the specifics of why, thus it actually feels anger when the girl is removed, more so than what it normally feels. You're interpretation is fully possible as well, but the adaption ability of 682 is extreme and completely alters it, thus I find it more logical that it becomes the opposite of what it naturally is while in her presence.

In fact there is no good info i can find that says she is incapable of killing such a being, just that there is no precedent set at this time. So its another question mark case. Saying she "only kills living beings" is a stretch.
Also even if it doesn't die, she's still all sorts of immortal. So his ability to kill her is still up for debate.

@@gthegadgetguy9703 The main part of her effect is definitely the everyone around her trying to kill each other. The heart attack only really effects one person. Making people around her go into a violent murderous rampage is way more like war, and as the original commenter said, if 682 is her horse, it fits really well with war because he is an immortal killing machine constantly adapting to be able to wage war on all living things as effectively as possible. If you're going to just say "Oh but they die though, that's death" then you can apply to all of the horsemen. Famine makes people die. Plague makes people die. The important thing is the theme around death. If people die because they go hungry, that's famine. If people die because they get sick, that's plague. If people die in a bloodthirsty rage-filled battle, that's war.

It's one of the explanations, but it contradicts SCP-1295, where the Four Horsemen are old men waiting for the apocalypse in a diner.
The SCP Wiki has no canon, those contradictions are not even a mistake, they are a necessary part of those stories.
My theory on why scp-682 didn't attack her is that she has a curse in which voilence cannot kill her but playing with her can and scp-682 was intelligent enough to know that

I once read on tvtropes that the author of this skip thought that maybe the reason everyone tries to kill her is because there's some "genetic memory" in all of us that subconsciously recognizes her for what she is - and whatever that is, it is ancient and terrible.

why dont they keep her and 682 in adjoining containment rooms with one of those fancy windows/ glass that turns to frosted glass on command (housed between the regular scp proof glass of course)
See, the strange part about all of this is that the Foundation tried using normal kids as a test against 682, but it only resulted in their deaths. So whatever is going on with 053, it has to be influencing her relationship with 682 in some way

@@testacals It technically was since it's commonly known in the SCP lore that researchers have to get clearance to perform specific tests on SCPs. So the scientist who performed the tests either did it without clearing it with the Foundation or he did have clearance but took it one child too many, with the Foundation having to step in
