Do you mean the very concept of a broken, near all powerful entity recognising that in order to preserve everything it must forever remain decided? Because I’d have to agree with you on that front.
@@ronald1416 well theres a lot of analogies you could make that are mostly at least somewhat accurate. Personally I was thinking about how the universe, and the physical plane is made of god. Even if you were going with the strict doctrine of the church, you can make that viewpoint almost regardless of how you believe in your faith. If everything was all reclaimed into god, reality would cease to exist. I think about it on other levels too. Such as even regular life forms. More complex life forms like humans (by complex I mean evolutionarily complex) take on many small organisms in order to make up the whole that the creature is. Other living things necessarily cause disruptions in their environment, sometimes its destructive to other life forms. Sometimes its destructive to everything including itself. Back during the Paleoproterozoic era the first bacteria ever figured out how to synthesize oxygen as a byproduct of harnessing the energy from the sun by liberating some of the hydrogen from the waters surrounding it. This new found energy source let these oxygen producing bacteria rapidly overwhelm other bacteria and out competed for resources with their ability to harvest more energy quicker. The problem was although they had recently only over several thousand years discovered the trick to liberate hydrogen and use it, they hadn't had the time to evolve protection to oxygen. This is getting to wordy so ill cut to the point. They filled most of the planet and over produced oxygen and almost wiped out all life on earth, which was just simple single celled things at the time. You could analogize the sum collection of different bacteria and species to be a god. Some gods are destructive even to themselves by their very nature, even if there existence is necessary for a short time to use that generative chaos to create new forms of order. This is all heavily analogistic mind you, and is not meant to be taken literally. However I always find it fascinating when metanarrative overlaps with reality, like when repeated pasterns in story telling from different cultures describe the balance between some sorta dark and light duality (not in a moral sense), and this mirrors how complex systems function in the physical world. But yeah, I think you get the point.
In some versions of the story Mekhane, aka the Broken God, used his actual heart as a prison for a rival goddess. This unfortunately means that, if he got rebuilt, she would also escape and a war of divine proportions could start. EDIT: The rival goddess in question is apparently Yaldabaoth, the one the Sarkics worship. The last war between both sides, led to the collapse of the Bronze Age...

In the original way it ends document the first intro to the overseers is really interesting It lists the crimes of all the overseers but for 05-2 it just reads “The Second Overseer: Is complicit.” Which is a super interesting line that I really like
I might be that Since O5-2 helped Calvin to destroy the Foundation, she did good enough to be excused of her crimes, but since she still continued to work at the Foundation, she is still complicit. But since the Summa Modus Operandi was written at the founding of the Chaos Insurgency, it doesn't make sense.

"It's likely somewhere in the 2020s that there will be some major public event, and within 5 years of that, thing will be too much for even the foundation to contain." Did... Did 2020 just confirm the SCP foundation's existence?
Let's see a virus with the ability to change its form, mass stupidity and deaths caused by leaders response to it(potential anomalous property that affects the intelligence of specific individuals in leadership positions making some (usa for example) open there borders and just ignore the sweeping deaths it's caused) Maybe maybe it did prove the foundations existence especially since it feels like 2021 is just a repeating timeloop of 2020
Started off really strong, incredibly well written and well thought out, but as it went on and on it got a little bit more unbelievable a few sentences at a time. The turning point, in my opinion, was the scene where the team is sitting around the campfire and Anthony reveals "the engineer's true nature". From there it started to depreciate. Definitely still worth the 3 hours though.
I decided to watch this instead of listening and I realized that the church of the broken god are just bunch of weebs that just want to build an anime mecha
I love how the third entity story 100% alludes to the fact that someone always picks up the phone. He killed everyone else in the reality as someone always picks up the phone and becomes the new O5-1. There is not escaping the Administrator.
Double fun fact the red right hand is actually close to a biblical quote from Jesus. Basically meaning the red right hand is the Jesus to the the Administrator who is the god to the red right hand. Depending on your outlook you possibly could kill the foundation by killing the red right hand.
@@gaigetucker6242 "What if the breath that kindled those grim fires, Awaked, should blow them into sevenfold rage, And plunge us in the flames; or from above *Should intermitted vengeance arm again* *His red right hand to plague us?"* The CI motto (and the name of the red right hand) is from a line from Paradise Lost, where Satan and his demons are talking about betraying God (The original betrayal of killing the Administrator), and Belial makes this comment of not angering God again so that they don't have to bear the punishment of betrayal again. In the case of the CI, they fear the full wrath of the Foundation should they attempt to destroy it again. In the case of the Red Right Hand, the MTF is literally the "Red Right Hand" of God, with the power to destroy the CI if it so wished. But the CI, as it is stated at the start of part 4, is a necessary thorn to keep the Foundation in check.

This is genuinely one of the best collection of stories I’ve ever heard, the way it ends was so well written it amazes me, it’s such a grand homage to the SCP foundation and it’s done so well Everything is done so well I can’t get over it The little detail of Adam being the man that was friends/lovers with the leader who turned to the foundation out of seemingly no where, turning his back on everything he’d fought for perfectly mirroring Arian is just insane to me It’s hard to believe this story came from the same universe as peanut boy and orange therapy slime but it’s still so amazing that it adds to all of that
I disagree, even if I really enjoyed this tale. The author tried to include almost every notable SCP and tale the site is known for, even when it felt pretty forced. It's a neat idea but the execution left a lot to be desired.
Yeah, a lot of things were forced like hell. Djkaktus let his ego seep through his writing too many times with that 001 proposal. It isn't like that story didn't have purpose too, it's just that constant references betrayed a needless intent to be a "definitive" 001 proposal, and every such attempt fails.
@@torperator1555 it also felt super poorly thought through, they didnt think anything through before writing this. Double fun fact the red right hand is actually close to a biblical quote from Jesus. Basically meaning the red right hand is the Jesus to the the Administrator who is the god to the red right hand. Depending on your outlook you possibly could kill the foundation by killing the red right hand.

"What if the breath that kindled those grim fires,
Awaked, should blow them into sevenfold rage,
And plunge us in the flames; or from above

The CI motto (and the name of the red right hand) is from a line from Paradise Lost, where Satan and his demons are talking about betraying God (The original betrayal of killing the Administrator), and Belial makes this comment of not angering God again so that they don't have to bear the punishment of betrayal again.

SCP-6969 "The Mary Stue Fabric"
Object class: Safe
Special containment procedures:
-Scp-6969 must be maintained under surveillance around the clock by D-Class personnel with a good grasp of the English language. Subjects are forced to read a novel considered by staff as containing a "Nice plot". This interaction has proven effective at hindering the spread of SCP-6969-1 instances from the human psyche. If the D-Class personnel do not participate in their daily reading space, an instance of SCP-6969 begin forming inside the subjects brain. Such effects of the SCP-6969-1 contain the lack of coherent world building, overuse of clichés, and the constant use of clear plot armor to the characters written by the D-class personnel attending SCP-6969 containment cell. D-Class personnel are instructed to write a story of three paragraphs every month as a way to monitor the effects of a possible SCP-6969-1 in their brains.
Description: SCP-6969 is a physical copy containing chapter 3 & 4 of the "Ouroboros cycle", SCP-001 proposal. The object possess the size and weight of booklet. Reading the content in SCP's-6969 pages produces a clear increase in fatigue, insomina, and adverse effects of the writing skills of the subject. Infected individuals by SCP-6969-1 are to be registered as SCP-6969-a instances. Severe effects of SCP-6969-a can degenerate in SCP-6969-b instances, were the subject will attempt to recreate the actions of fictional characters labeled as "Marie Sue's", or their male counterpart "Marty Stu's", where in the need to be seen as heroic, exemplar human begins, will instead be found as plain, dull, unoriginal when ti comes to their personalities.

Everything is done so well I can’t get over it
The little detail of Adam being the man that was friends/lovers with the leader who turned to the foundation out of seemingly no where, turning his back on everything he’d fought for perfectly mirroring Arian is just insane to me
It’s hard to believe this story came from the same universe as peanut boy and orange therapy slime but it’s still so amazing that it adds to all of that
Honestly I really like how this series is able to include other existing SCPs in its story without feeling too forced
I disagree, even if I really enjoyed this tale. The author tried to include almost every notable SCP and tale the site is known for, even when it felt pretty forced. It's a neat idea but the execution left a lot to be desired.
Torperator especially when they referenced to 173... man that felt super forced
The sheer number of times they plot armoured, deus ex machina'd, and just ignored problems to make the story not fall apart is insane. Think about how many times they would have just been nuked (several times they should have been on-site nuked), or shot, or otherwise killed that just poofed out in their favor. I also find the 0-5 council members being anomalies (not an inherently bad concpet) to have felt really stupid. There are good ways to do it, but just going "here is an exposition of their abilities! Now let's see them use it once then be killed against all odds by some form of deus ex machina!"
@@fenrirunshackled4319 So do you dislike all stories? Cause since you mentioned plot armor, and deus ex machinas, but if you look at any other story, all of it has some of it. Yes i will say that the degree of such things is varied by series, but every series has at least some of it.
