  • Why thinking makes anxiety worse! The full video can be watched here / video-2-what-you-25517483 . It's from my calmness course, where I explain how I overcame my anxiety and OCD. Please check it out.
The following excerpt highlights the root cause of all anxiety disorders: the inherent disparity between conscious thought processes and unconscious emotions. Our conscious mind processes thoughts, while our emotions stem from our unconscious brain and body.
Mastering the balance between these two faculties is paramount for achieving inner peace and overall well-being. It's astonishing that such a vital aspect of our mental welfare is often overlooked in traditional education. Gaining an understanding of this concept can empower us to take charge of our mental health.
Our cognition and emotions operate as two distinct systems, and I am equipped to guide you in enhancing their mutual communication and coordination.
From an evolutionary perspective, humans are emotional beings who have developed the ability to think. However, individuals dealing with anxiety or OCD often seem to function as if they are primarily thinking creatures striving to govern their emotions, contrary to nature's intention!

hey john, i recently noticed my subconscious pattern switched up, the ocd trying to throw me back into the old ways of thinking again, i go days without thinking almost at all, just living in the subconscious and body and its wonderful, little things are so enjoyable, but the sometimes i feel like it is reallying trying to tug of war with me and try to make think of things consciously, and if i do it then wants to "punish" me by thinking of whatever the original thought was but in reverse or in opposite, yeah annoying right? Now Im not doing it, because dear god its exhausting and literally causes physical, i just dont get why its still trying to get me to think so much, its very much pesky demon, and i want to understand a little more about the little 8 year old inside, what are your thoughts my friend?

I would suggest - it is likely one of two issues.
Some environmental factor - like wrong job/ no job - wrong relationship/no relationship - boredom etc., therefore something you know needs to be addressed but you haven't stepped into doing it.
And the second is mitochondrial health - getting enough energy into your cells - so your body (unconsciously) can sense you are biologically recovering after years of stress (video 4). This is done through sunlight, a ketogenic diet (avoiding carbs and sugars) walking in nature - following your passions etc.
Every time anxiety/OCD/depression flares up you need to ask yourself - what needs to change in my life that has been exhausting me? Then change, accept or move away from those stressors.
I know me saying this seems simplistic, but it is the truth - though I do know how hard it is to change your life, especially from a place of fear and exhaustion - however, this is your life, so the effort is always worth it in the long run!
This is why my course is so full of teaching life skills, courage and direction - to give a person the tools to go out and try.

Yes indeed, this is one of the ways our unconscious sabotages us to tell us we are not living as nature intended - I talk about this in video 11 of my course.

If the lymbic system is overwelming it need helps..behind of that it can be insulin issue, high cortisol that person thinks all the time, i would say it is neurological issue 😊

The only help the limbic system needs - is for the person to live as nature intended, not as the intellect has been programmed to wish for...
      - Natural food
      - Sunlight
      - Engaged with community
      - Creativity
      - Work 8 hours, Rest 8 hours, Sleep 8 hours
      - Only to be thinking when thinking is required
      - Self-love/respect/worth/integrity/awareness
      - To be a part of nature, not something that nature should be serving us
      - To have a dream that inspires you to jump out of bed each morning (either survival or creative passion)
All these things come naturally (from the limbic system) when we stop identifying with our logical, reasoning intellect and reconnect with our heart, Soul and divinity - IMHO :-)

@@TheComplexAnxietySpecialist you wrote perfect "scenario" but unfortunaly not all people has this choice, people can be chronical ill and they cant just jump from the bed in the morning, they can go thorugh severe life threatening situation and they develop ptsd, and have massive flash backs, and their lymbic system is overvelming, and they dont go out, and alot of other stuff..So it is all depend on the circustames and situation person is in

I agree with you wholeheartedly. I believe that in addition to medication, individuals can take proactive steps to reprogram their unconscious mind, adjust their attitudes and beliefs, and enhance self-awareness. This could potentially lead to the retraining of their inner chemistry and the improvement of mitochondrial health within their cells. By investing energy into their cells, they might have an opportunity to break free from their current exhausted cycles. Unfortunately, many individuals seem to exhaust their energy battling the very limitations that confine them, rather than trying new approaches when it's clear that their current methods are not optimal.

This is why clever people get OCD and CFS/ME - they are trying to think their way out of exhaustion, not realising that it is the thinking that is trapping them.

@@TheComplexAnxietySpecialist unfortunately ocd is alot of time ego-dystonic, had nothing to do with subconscious, and even believes sometimes are not enough when people got sick, it is all corelated, from hormones, food, infections, and so on :)
