Why reprogramming your RAS - Reticulating Activating System is fundamental for personal growth. Plus it forces you to ask yourself who you wish to become and what you want from your life.
The Vision Board Video - I reference can be viewed here • Vision Board Videos Wo...
I can't emphasise enough how important this video is. Although it may seem simple on the surface, its impact on your unconscious mind can be very effective and life-changing.
However, it's important to put in a lot of work. Just having this information is only the first step. Executing the repetition and learning how to use a completely new internal dialogue is fundamental to your growth.
I think the RAS explains why placebo works - we are consciously informing our unconscious what we want rather than it just running the old programs it was programmed with in childhood/school.
This past month has been fascinating for me. I moved to the South West coast in Devon and used all the skills I teach to keep myself calm, active, and positive. As a result, the experience was exciting and fun, rather than scary and stressful.
I am still amazed at how much you can achieve in a month when your mind is focused on what you want, and how things can still get done even though the world is going through a lot of change (which can also be seen as opportunity!).
I discuss how your beliefs affect your thoughts, behaviors, and outcomes. As we sleep, information in our brain is sorted based on our beliefs. So, if you believe you are stupid, you will remember any comments that reinforce that belief and forget any comments that prove you to be smart. Changing beliefs is key to rewiring your brain.
The Reticular Activating System (RAS) MUST BE REPROGRAMMED!
The RAS controls:
Our attention
Goal achievement
Keeping us alive and safe
If left alone (not reprogrammed), your unconscious mind will just keep on doing the same thing over and over again, regardless of what you consciously want it to do.
We MUST consciously reprogram our unconscious mind.

Thank you for the exercises and practical instructions. There are a lot of videos describing the RAS but none tell how to use it and change its programming. I got tired of all the RUclips videos that were content for the sake of putting out content, using the car example and not going any further, and went directly to PubMed and the NCBI for actual medical journals about the RAS. Your information here is on point. I'm gladly subscribing to your channel.

Thank you. - please enjoy!
Do you follow Chase Hughes? Your explanations about the RAS sound very similar
No, I've not heard of him. However, the RAS works the way it works therefore the explanations ought to be similar 🙂
@ComplexAnxietyRecoveryCourse I definitely recommend his work. I've learned a lot from him. You both gave the new car example so that's why I asked 😊
