Love this👍
Greetings and stuff from Ireland 🇮🇪🇸🇩
First time seeing Max was 1979. JFR High, Guelph. Many times after. Too many to remember. Great memories ❤😊
I met Kim Mitchell back in 1980 something or other when his band was opening for Bryan Adams...I was on the local stage crew, and got to hang a little bit during the day...His drummer, Paul Delong showed me the intro to Rumour Has It....and at the end of the night, Kim took the sign off his dressing room door, autographed it and gave it to me....Coolest guy ever.....Good times....Greatest line ever....Couldn't find change and I lost my damn brains so I started humming Inagadda davida
What a fantastic singer Peter Fredette still is !!!!
Truly , the people’s Canadian Rock Icon. I see the same determined young 14 year old , with the internal head movement . So cool,
Alberta Dave
Wow!! What a show! I really enjoyed this video. I wish I was there with 2 beers going...
So cool that Paul Delong (the OG), was on drums. Peter STILL kills this song. Awesome.
That's awesome, he's a monster talent. I just recognised for the first time, "All We Are" is his take on the Purdie Shuffle; how cool is that?
Such a great drummer!
Only Mr. Mitchell could:, Kevin Adamson, (Check out Roger Hodgson) on keys, Peter Fredette on whatever he grabs, OG drummer, oh yeah, and himself. Just another day at the office for this SUPERGROUP!
Kim Mitchell is one of the greatest musicians in history in my opinion - but most of my friends in the UK have never heard of him! Sad biut true...
I'm trying to get Fil, from Wings of Pegasus, to do a Max Webster video.... anything . No bites yet... Zappa was a fan.... jamming with Rush (tell me Gerry McKraken did not influence Neil Peart with a straight face), totally a band, and musicians, beyond their realm...
I missed this one but I'll be seeing Kim this Saturday!!!
Man. Wish I was there but for me personally this is amazing. I have been a shameful rip Van Winkle of sorts, had all 4 of his albums and saw him twice. But work etc till just retired and now can catch up. Already decided on 4 songs to learn for local jams. Can't wait to experience all his solo work. This was great thanks man for posting.😆
Nothing beats Mckracken's tom's with 421's rammed up there. And Kim with the old Gibson....
Nice show from A to Z, with a solid added value by all musicians and a reasonably enthousiastic crowd. Quite a nice bass guitar btw. Greetings from Antwerp Belgium
Good product!!!!
Love Paul deLong playing!!
I can't believe how much better Kim looks without hair. Dude, what were you thinking holding on to "scraps" all those years? Amazing how it takes decade after decade after sometimes many decades for some to come into their best look. Kim is a good looking guy - finally! - now in his sixties.
Oh, I get it. I went through exactly the same. He's just five years older than me.@@user-uf8cb5do1k
Love it. Warts and all... like Kim forgetting he's in a different key on All We Are... ;p Can we get an Amen for Peter Fredette. He has no business singing like that still.
With all the respect for Paul Delong, for me the best drummer Kim ever had is Chris Sutherland. This dude was simply amazing, precise as a swiss clock and his drum cut throught the song w/o overplaying it. Peter his Peter (top guy) and Kim wouldn't sound the same without him.
Have to wonder why he goes through so many drummers.
@@canuck600A and keyboardists. The answer is - they're all great players, so they're all busy working and doing all kinds of gigs because Kim does only a few dozen dates a year. Sometimes players settle into a full time gig elsewhere, so Kim has to find someone else. But in this case, DeLong was a sub probably because his regular drummer had another gig.
Once you get mega-rich like Paul McCartney or Billy Joel, you can have a sparse touring schedule and still afford to keep your band members on retainer. But the rest of musicians are just trying to make a living like everyone else.
ok...so I appreciate Kim Mitchell very much! many many years listening to everything he has ever offered up...but I have NEVER herad him play anything resembling BLUES...even REMOTELY...so WTF are these festival organizers thinking putting anyone like KIM on the bill of a BLUES festival? don't care....don't even TRY and explain this...have a ROCK festival if you want to hire a band like this.
Plenty of rock bands played the Montreux and Newport jazz festivals going back to the 1950s - Led Zeppelin and Chuck Berry, for example. Flamenco bands play the Toronto jazz festival. Just because a festival is primarily centred around one genre of music doesn't mean that's the only kind of music that's heard.
