This is the most entertaining cleaning video I’ve ever watch 😂😂😂
awesome 😊❤ thanks
This guy is hilarious 😆
🤣😂 thanks! 😊👍❤
The high to low pitch is what’s getting me
😂😂😂
Sounds like the late great Tim Conway from the Carol Burnett Show
THIS WORKS!! For years I have been trying to clean my hood filter. All I ended up with was a greasy gloppy mess. Thanks!!!
If you have a dishwasher it just melts the grease off. I do it every week. Never had to resort to soaking. It’s part of my deep cleaning weekly. 🥰😘
Just make sure you check the grease trap on your dishwasher! :)
@@terry2346 I take the dishwasher mechanism apart and clean it. Then I run the cycle very hot 80 minutes my drain from my sink never gets clogged due to the hot water coursing thru it.
Yes , dishwasher is the way to go they come out lovely and grease free . I put my gas top thing in as well .
This worked beautifully! My filter makes the one in video look clean already. I used 1/2c. & 1/2c. because my filter had started to (obligatory gross-out!) drip, and used a Dutch oven full of boiling water. The family was in the kitchen for the results reveal and we were all so surprised. That disgusting filter came out gleaming! I did brush it also, though it wasn't needed. This technique is a 5 star solution to an impossible cleaning challenge! (FYI: The dish soap used was Dawn Ultra)
2016: Brand new kitchen, brand new fancy gas stove and range hood. First time I tried to remove the filters to clean them, the spring mechanism that kept them in place flipped them out of my hands and flung them into the 1.5” space behind the stove. It was like a rotten magic trick. That was a fun day.
I want to say “thanks” again. I did exactly as you said and it came out amazing clean. I am so happy. Btw, I was one of those that had’t cleaned it since i purchased my home! I will not wait as long next time. :)
Great job!
Same here
@@StatUpBox thanks for the video. Your voice reminds me of RUclipsr Aaron from Aaron and Claire😊
Your suggestions are incomplete. What you failed to tell the public is that there were other areas in the filter and creases which are also filled to some extent with oil. Cleaning the filter without cleaning the rest of the top is misleading. I strongly suggest that you retape this with complete information.
Thank you! It was not too long, full of introductory comments, and you got right to it. You're also funny! Now I'll tackle it. 💪
These are all great responses ,lots of gratitude!
If it were me you'd all get hearts.
This was a great video and the only one I hit. Its easier than I thought. Looking forward to a clean filter once again.
Thanks❤️
Awesome thanks 😊👍
I subscribed for your common sense knowledge and sense of humor. Thank you!
Welcome aboard!
Great video about how to clean a filter. Even better with your humorous narration!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I don't think I've ever enjoyed a video as much as this one! LOL! thank you - am going to give it a go right now.
💪👍☺️
Criminally underviewed.
Great video my guy!
thanks! 👍😊
You're so funny to listen to. I learned something today. Thank you
Thank you so much for this video. You did an awesome job explaining from beginning to end. Now, I’ve got some cleaning to do! 😀
This worked wonders for me. Thank you!
Lol thank you man! Gonna go try this now, just wanted to comment before my ADD makes me forget to. Just wanted to tell you what you already know, you're hilarious and this is a really nice way to look at a not so nice task. I appreciate your positivity!
LOL singsong voice and jokes, made me smile, thx!
My mom just let them soak in amonia for about 5 min. Worked every time!
Mine always go in the top rack of the dishwasher laying flat. Come out like new every time. Easier..
Me too I was then going to say the same 😂
I'm happy to see this kind of filter can be cleaned. I am washing it now and found some articles saying you cannot wash only replace...and I think mine is carbon filter? The foamy part. Most how to videos only show how-to clean the wire, part. This video put my mind at ease! So thanks!
Thanks for sharing👍😊❤
better just drop tye filters only in dishwasher with high temperature
@N9 Nadaf not sure exactly what you meant but I washed in dish soap and it's working fine! I was worried it couldn't get wet but it can
@@Goldrefinedthrufire I MEAN TO SAY that , we can wash hood filters in the dishwasher, may be help you not get wet ,,here are meany videos on youtube which advise to wash filters in dishwasher
Most filters are aluminum so the dishwasher is not a good choice. The filters that you can’t clean are the ones with charcoal that help to remove odors.
You give above-average instructions: thorough, not too long and with some light humor. I just subscribed since I see you have many videos giving very informative lessons of interest. Thank you.
Awesome. Thanks 😊👍
better just drop tye filters only in dishwasher with high temperature
Nailed it! I also used the solution to wipe down the hood appliance. Thanks!
I just came across your channel, I am amazed at all the different types of helpful videos you have and your delivery of the info made me laugh, which is a very good thing, I subscribed immediately and plan to binge watch all your videos, thank you 👏😂
Simple green works wonders. Works fast.
It is easier to spray them with Fume free Easy Off and let set outside overnight. Then hose it down and stand up against the back of the house to air dry.
Thanks for the great tip. I’ll be cleaning my oven hood filter the way you did it.👍👏
welcome! thanks ! 😊👍
This was extremely helpful. Thank you!
i just realized i have used my stove for almost 40 years and have never cleaned that filter. i am going to do that now.
Just buy a new one❤
@@friedazlife9074 i don't waste money
I just put mine in the dishwasher and it works great
Great video. I’m so ignorant that I didn’t know these filters were removable! 🙄 I have a task to attend to!
Glad it was helpful!
Just the bicarb and liquid with elbow grease was enough for me. Didn’t even need to soak. Thank you 👍🏻
I'm going to do this. Thank you very much!
I love the humor!! Thanks 🙏🏼
Glad you enjoyed it!
I replaced an over the stove microwave oven recently.
Under the microwave was a stove vent with two filters. I cleaned the filters about once a year.
To my stunned surprise when I replaced the microwave oven I found it was saturated with grease beyond the filters. Had there been a stove fire and the flames entered the microwave oven vent system there would have been a massive grease fire.
I have always submerged them in ammonia. Comes out like new and works instantly.
Thanks for posting! So helpful. 👍🏻
👍😊 welcome
Lol. Thanks for the advice. I used my husband’s tools brush.
This works very well. I risked doing it in the sink because I don't have a big enough container for the mesh plates, but it was fine washed down with plenty more hot water, soda & washing up liquid.
Yeaks, don't do it again, in the long run it can cost you lots of money, as chemicals can corroade your pipes !
Marvellouse help. A big thank you
Thank you for the tips.
Placing a paper towel in the container before emptying will soak up some of that grease and scum. Thanks for the video
Nice I'll be doing this this weekend .. thanks 👍
Soap and water in a tub in the backyard. Although once it's clean, I like the idea of putting it in the dishwasher once every so often as mentioned in the comments
Nice video. Listening to this gives me vote 4 Pedro vibes.
Great video. I love the humor 🤣
Glad you enjoyed
Thanks for the tip. Funniest "how to" video I've watched!
thanks 😊❤
Thank you for the video. Informative and amusing 😊
Welcome 👍😊
I wash mine with soap twice, rinse under hot water then into the dishwasher for a deep clean session. Comes out shiny again 💪🏻
Great job.
After cleaning it, how do you clean the hood inners? Thank you.
Thanks for the video...enjoyed watching
Glad you enjoyed it😊👍❤
this worked well. thanks
Great to hear!
Thanks for sharing!
Our pleasure!👍😊❤
Thanks so much brother.....

Would this work with the air frier racks
You are hilarious! Great tips too!! Thanks
Thanks you since my screen is so dirty and will use your guidance.
😊👍
Thanks boss!
You bet!
Having Mike Tyson narrate this was amazing!
😆🤣😂
Give this guy a like just for his narrating.
👍
Tried this on one filter and Simple Green on the other. Simple Green hands down. It just melted off. Got the idea from using it on my bike chain. Used
Simple Green on my air fryer. Like new.
@johnguerriere hi. Where / how did you dispose of that dirty, greasy water afterwards? Thanks
I throw it always in my dishmachine cleaning hyperclean.much easier and result is exellent.maybe not work ewery filter but mine is steel or aluminiunframed and filter is also metallicbase.so it handle it and i dont need to soaking it and wash and rinse.easy and effective way.
An explanation of what's inside the filter would help. Is it just a finer mesh? exactly where does the grease accumulate?
I would be concerned about any and all grease in the exhaust hood / pipe . As how is the fan effected by using a flashlight . Could a person clean it properly or needing a hood cleaning company . As I would think begining from the roof down using a steamer ? And follow up with a boriscope ? to see the results from top to bottom . As I believe quite a few restaurants are destroyed by fires in their hood exhausts . Not having them periodically and throughly cleaned .
Great video .thankyou very useful tip😂❤
Thanks. welcome 😊👍
Oven cleaner works. Spray let sit for a hour or two then rinse, and let it dry overnight then put back.
Great fun informative video
Glad you think so!
Great info!!! Thx 😂
Any time!
Great tip! Oh and your cupboard handles are a little off…😊
This dude is awesome best cleaner in the world very funny take a toothbrush from ur family or friends but not yours 😅
EasyOff and hot water with some degreaser works too
I Love this video! I had to subscribe 😂
😊👍
Question! What do you do with the gallon of dirty water if you don’t pour it down the sink or drain? Is it ok to just dump outside? Thank you for the video
you can dump it out side or bottle it for trash.
Just place it in the dishwasher. No problem and it comes out super clean. Why go through all this work?????
I just run tap water at its hottest all over it, squirt some dish washing liquid on it and brush it gently with a nail brush, rinsing the filter with hit tap water again. Works like a charm. Of course, if the filter's particularly gunky, your method would work even better at dissolving the caked in grease.
The uptalking was so annoying. It was like an AI with a Mexican accent. This helped me get that thing back on properly. 10 out of 10
Just twist the knob to remove it.
The voice and cadence!
Thank you for this 😂
u are too kool😊😊
Atsa niiice
Great video! I do have a question for you. What is the difference between grease and gunk? How do I know if I have grease or do I have gunk?🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Thanks for making this video!
I was cracking up on the toothbrush 😂 no families or friends
You can put it in your sink and use some Dawn dishwashing liquid. Scrub, let it sit in the soapy soap. Rinse after a few minutes.
Suggestions on cleaning the fan itself area??
what size is that filter
Have you tried Dawn? Wow
Great video...How long should it take the filter to dry outside?
depends on the weather. But on a sunny day maybe 1 or 2 . you can always flip it half way to get faster results. good luck.
How about putting the filter in dish washer machin?
I wash them in the dishwater, simple
I put mine in the dishwasher, I have an extra 1 because I replaced my oven hood. Same size !!!
Put it in the dishwasher with your dishes. Much simlpler. Smarter not harder.
