I’ve wondered about this but thought cleaning between the glass was impossible. Wow! Thank you so much for your video. My husband and I are the third owner’s of our home, built in 1942. It has been modestly updated a couple of times over the years - I’ll never have a “new” kitchen in this lifetime- I’ve accepted this reality. Our kitchen has a through the wall Dualtone Fan. I need advice how to clean it. The inside side looks good - if you l are into Retro staff-I’ve cleaned the near parts pretty well. I’m not sure I have a ladder that tall. How to I clean the back of the fan blades and inside the casing where I can’t reach? I suppose I could turn off the power, climb on a ladder, open the hatch outside the house, and clean from there. I’ll need to get my husband to steady the ladder while I do this. Lol! Ty!❤
No! No! No! Pull the fuse or circuit breaker first! Don’t use a metal ladder! Notify 911 services before you start, they may be too busy later because someone else tried to clean her/his oven door. With the emergency responders, emergency room charges, doctor’s bills, pharmacy costs, etc you’ll be out of thousands of dollars as a result. Boil som apple, or citrus peelings to give the house a nice fresh scent.
I saw the thumbnail for this video and gasped, "How did he open that?!" There has been dog hair and grease on the inside of our oven door from the previous owners and it has been driving me crazy! Thank you, sir! 😊
You have answered my oven prayers. I just tuned in on your video.🤗🤗🤗 Now I'm going to be adventurous in my kitchen and clean my darn window oven. I really do appreciate u.🤗🤗🤗
Thank you so much for this video. I have been living with an annoying streak in my oven for a couple of years and didn’t realize it was within my power to clean it!!!! I can totally manage this!!!❤
Thanks. For 30 years I lived with a Riem wedge wood stove from about 1960. I moved and found myself with a modern contraption! I had NEVER any need to ckean between the glass. There was no glass. Imagine my surprise when I used my stove for the first time and that beautiful window in my new stove was barred with discoloration! I’ve been intimated ever since and it’s now 10 years on. You made it look easy! Thank you! Great video!!
Excellent video!!! So happy I stumbled upon this!! A few month's ago I was talking to my 83 y.o. Dad about this, and he said it was much too hard... having to take the whole door off. I'm sending him the link to your video right away!!! 😂 And tomorrow I'm going to clean the "inside windows" of my oven door!!! Thank you!!👍
I stumbled across your video this morning. So glad i did. I gave this a try on my oven. I was so worried things would not go back into place but all worked out really well. There was so much dust and crap between the glass. My oven door is now unrecognisable. Its clean and shiny 😊. Im so pleased. Thank you for posting this video
I CANNOT believe how easy this was. I watched a video a few years ago where you had to take off the oven doors so I've avoided this job ever since. Afraid I wouldn't get the dang thing put back together correctly. Finally, I couldn't stand it anymore and Mr. Gizmo, this was so easy and worked like a charm, I feel like I have a brand new oven again. Thank you!!
Thanks for this informative video. I didn’t know how to remove my oven door glass so after a chicken fat accident I spent at least an hour with a long rod with a wet j-cloth wrapped around the bottom poking around through the gap at the top. I sprayed cleaning fluid through the gap and poked some more until it finally looked clean. It worked pretty much, but next time I need to clean the glass I’ll know better what to do!
Glad I stopped by. Been wanting to do this for a long while. I was hesitant because I wasn't sure how to take the door apart to get to the inside glass area. Now that I seen it I know I can do it. Thank you so much. put that chore back on my to do list.
Amazing! Thanks for taking the time to make this video. I've had a streak inside my oven door that's been bugging me for years. Problem solved. Thanks again.
No one would believe the filth between the glass in my oven door. I am surround by farmland, so there’s a ton of dust in the air. I can’t stop looking at my clean oven door. Thank you so much.🎉🎉🎉
Thank you! I live in an apartment and my stove was provided at the time of the lease! I have drip in between the glass that have has been there for a few years. I never wanted to unscrew the door panels from fear of not being able to put it back together, and ruining the owner's warranty!
That's excellent. I've had had streak marks on the inside between the panes of glass for the longest time from the previous owner . Now I can finally clean it out properly. Great video. Thanks for posting this. 😁✌
So happy you posted this! I had a thin layer of dust after a renovation in between the glass of my white new stove, and it was driving me INSANE! I didn’t buy the stove so had no manual to figure out how to take it apart. Thank you! It looks so much better now, and I even got that pesky little grease stripe too! 🤣
Omg,thank you so much for this video, you save money I was about to call service guy to help clean glass oven door for for years. It has streak inside the glass and I was wondering how in the heck am I going to clean that and it didn’t occur to me to unhook the screws from the inside of the door to clean it well thank you so much. This is been a blessing now I’m gonna have a clean oven door. This is been a fabulous video. Kudos to you for helping us ladies cleaning 🧼 that oven door…!!! 🤩🤗👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🥇🙏🏻😇
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! I've been trying for so long, to find someone that cud show me how to get in between the two pieces of glass on my stove clean. YOU ARE A LIFESAVER!!!
I have a Whirlpool that has 3 panes to it and was able to take it all apart several years ago to clean it. I just did it again 6 months ago after my wife spilled something down the front and got inside once again. Best advice Is removing the door from the range and take pictures along the way on disassembly because you can put some parts on backwards and the door will not close when done.
Thank-you so much. Wasn't even looking for an answer for this problem, and up you popped on RUclips, am I glad! Didn't even know that I could clean this, and boy does my oven need it! Got Turkey grease from thanksgiving and it's been driving me crazy ever since, even been hiding it with a towel over the handle of the oven. Can't wait to see my oven clean again!!! THANK-YOU!!!!
This was such an eyeopener for me. I never knew you could detach the inner screen. As soon as I finished watching your tutorial I applied this to my own oven. It's like new again THX!
Thank you! For showing how this can be done! So annoying to see the inside in between can’t get to dirty glass, either ovens, double windows, etc. now I will go check my oven!!
So thankful for the video I have been looking at streaks since the holidays last year & every time I walk by it I start thinking to myself oh my goodness I wish there was a way I could get those streaks out and then I finally searched it on RUclips and came across your video immediately!!!! The only difference I had to do was once I took the screws off in order to get in between the glass... I had to take off a couple more screws to pull off the first chunk of glass, which then allowed me to get the inside of the glass that is still connected to the door. (Hopefully that makes some sense) Thank you so much for posting this video. I now have a clean stove glass.
The inside of the door is extremely sharp. Also you can not raise the glass too much... just enough to get your hand in... or else you will bend the bottom and the porcelain will spray off as you crack it and bend the door. I have done many while working at a resort.
Thank you for sharing…I had my oven repaired last month. I asked the repair man can I clean it….He said that it can’t be done because I’ll brake the glass…..I’m glad that I ran into your video…….you showed me otherwise….Again, thank you for sharing…
I find lately I just have to think about things and it shows up in my recommended. Initially this really creeped me out, but now I use it to my advantage. I've been wondering about this very topic, never mentioned it, just thought about. Almost as if AI can read my mind 😢.
Great video, showed me what to do in a clear and accurate manner. Reminded me of “When all else fails…consult the manual”. This was a great video manual. Thank you!
Oh Man!! Thank You for showing this. I work VERY HARD to keep my stove/oven clean and WITH NO STREAKS, I HATE STREAKS! But it’s been driving me nuts those little drips of…grease or whatever. I was going to try and take the door apart. But was hesitant. I’m not anymore. Thanks so much! And just in case someone doesn’t know, or you have been having an issue with streaks, try this. First, I have used all kinds of oven cleaning polishing sprays, microfiber towels, and it STILL was leaving the most horrible streaks. Which for me….If my oven top, counters etc. aren’t shining like a new toy, I don’t feel like my kitchen looks clean enough. So I have tried it ALL. Even creating my own customized cleaner. But although some “were” better than others, nothing really did the job. Then I tried (of all things), Pledge Multi-surface” cleaner. And viola! No more streaks or the appearance of a greasy stove top. The same for the doors of the oven, dishwasher, and the fridge! “Pledge Multisurface”. I mean who knew! 😂 And now, thanks to your help, I can finally get the dripped grease out from behind the 2 pane panel of the oven door. Brilliant! Thank you so much!!
Stumbled on this video and 1 hour later the entire inside of my oven door is clean! Except between the “sealed” thermal window. Doesn’t seem cleanable. Much easier to do this leaving the door mounted like you did. Thanks for this awesome vid!
OMG, me, when I wash the oven door, I take the whole door off and take it all apart. Ouffff, it's a lot of work, but it's a door that is like new afterwards. I'll try your way next time. It will surely be less long and difficult to do. Many thanks for sharing this. THANKS.👍🤗🇨🇦
Wanting to do this for awhile now but afraid of causing damage to the glass. Thank you for showing how it is done and appreciate your details for those of us who really need them - (like me).
maybe not. My drawer is fragile on plastic sliders. If those break from weight of door you are screwed. Getting replacements and installing sliders down there would be troublesome I think.
They are all a bit different, so take your time and figure it out before you get there. Whatever you do -- don't damage the front glass! If it's an older oven, you may not be able to get a good replacement for love or money. Anyway, very pleased how it turned out here -- the grease runs have been buggin' me since I bought the place.
It's Bach's Brandenburg Concerto #4. I'm not sure I'm crazy about putting that wonderful music as a background to over cleaning! But it is a great piece.
I sprayed 409 on the vents at the top of the oven door to clean them, not realizing it would run down inside the door and leave ugly streaks on the inside of the glass. I know it's just cleaner, not crud, but anybody who sees it would assume it's crud, which is embarrassing. This video will help me fix it. Thanks!
Just a thought though! This was quite easy on your oven door, because all you had to do was remove 2 screws and lift the loosened part up. It's not quite the same, on our oven, as there are 4 screws to remove and then lift up the entire panel off the door, thus disturbing the gaskets that are in there and worrying that all of this will not fit very well, upon reassembly!
I totally enjoyed this video thank you so very much for sharing this now I am headed to your other video to see how to remove the door I have had my stove for 3 years so warranty won't be there thank you again!!!God Bless!!!❤
Thank you Brother..I am so glad I was recommended your video..With my OCD I have been contemplating doing this when I moved into my apartment …Well past the warranty..The apartment is only 7 years old from my knowledge ..And I have been here going on 5 years.. It’s not that bad but too me one little streak of grease between the glass drives me crazy..HAVE A BLESSED DAY ..☯️LOVE & LIGHT FROM PGH PA..Blessed be..
Thank you for this great video. I followed your steps and it worked well for the debris in between the outer glass and the oven door. Unfortunately, there is also debris in between the deeper layer of oven glass toward the inside. I think the seal must be broken. I had used baking soda to clean inside my oven and it seeped in. I may need to replace my oven door or call someone to fix it.
OMG I NEVER THOUGHT YOU CAN CLEAN IN BETWEEN I HAVE A LONG STREAK RUNING FROM THE TOP TO THE BOTTOM THAT ANNOYS ME SO MUCH....THANKS SO MUCH FOR THIS VIDEO GLAD I BUMPED INTO TO IT.......YOUR MY HERO ☺
I have seen warnings about doing this. They claim that the oven glass could explode if a non-professional attempts to take the door apart. Is this no longer the case with newer oven doors, or are there specific caveats to doing this?
My oven door exploded and glass flew everywhere. I had to buy a new stove. My oven was older, so I don't know if the newer ones are different. Be aware
@@lindamiller3539 mine did too, was In another room at the time & it sounded like a bomb going off. Yes glass everywhere.! Haven't managed to replace the glass yet, a nightmare money wise because the oven is integrated with a top oven & microwave.. just cant afford to do it.
Be aware that when you get all done and you put the whole thing back together and you look at it there are going to be some streaks in there that you didn't see
Thank you for the fantastic video. I’d love to see one on how to clean the inside of a refrigerator glass that can’t be cleaned from the outside…and my refrigerator is an expensive one, yet it’s impossible to clean between the glass.
THANK YOU. JUST watched your video. I was clueless. Went n bought Dawn power wash... followed your instructions (my handle fell off but I was preped, lol) worked great 👍 thank you@@@
Watching a different video, I planned to take off the entire door but this worked perfectly. One exception is on the upper oven door, the glass is encased so I could not separate them. I am not even sure how the drip got inbetween the glass. Anyway, great video - it was actually easier than I thought...and that rarely happens!
Nice video. You have inspired me to clean the inside of my door too. I have avoided it, concerned about damaging a gasket seal in there. Guess I'll find out.
Over tightening was my issue too. But I learned a technique called 'Two Finger Tight' when I went to Sony VTR training back in the 80's. They said make it as tight as only your two fingers can make it and you will not over-tighten your screws. Great advice and I use it till this day.
Thanks so much I had a streak going down the middle of the glass which was driving me crazy with your helpful video I was able to clean it!! Lol. Thanks again
Great video! I like the disclaimer and how you show the process in detail. I never liked the idea of removing the door and it is the first time I saw this. Thanks!
I bought a rolling mechanics stool that adjusts up or down and has a tool tray underneath. I will use that to avoid bending down. Thank you for this easy to follow video.
I noticed the other day something got between the glass and dripped down. It looks like white sauce for the pasta my sister made. Really noticeable. Thank you for your video. I switched to Dawn in the 90s. I swear by it. I was living in Ky. At the time and if you evet went on 75 towards Cincinnati you know of the long vertical hill. A truck turned over spilling greasy dough on the interstate. Nothing they did for hours cleaned it. Traffic had to be rerouted. Someone brought in a truck full of Dawn and within a few hours the road was safe and opened. That's when i switched to Dawn.
I avoid LG since they planned obsolesced my fridge. It died at 5 years and a few days after 5 year warranty. Just saw a video on LG door removal its insanity. Made to never take apart! But it is possible with patience.
LG is the most difficult brand it seems to do any part replacement/repairs. Had dishwasher experience, rather nightmarish. To replace a filter you need to half disassemble the whole machine.
Yup just found a great video on how to do this for an LG oven -ruclips.net/video/v3Jj_vZeFgs/видео.html - the video is 30 minutes long! My next oven will be a GE, I think

Thank you Thank you! This has been driving me crazy and I was afraid to try it. You made it so easy.
wow, I can hardly wait to do this. I've been going crazy trying to clean my oven door -- had no idea you needed to take it apart. Thank you!!
God I could only ever dream of having a man who cleans. I can’t even imagine. ❤❤
😂😂😂
My husband was in the Navy before we met. He doesn’t just clean, he loves to clean. Yes, it’s a dream come true. 😂
@@AnastaciaBurns I concur with the Navy husband and cleanliness 😊
Yes, the men's only eat, and no clean. They marriage for have the women as slave. The women's don't understand this, and love marriage.
He should; yr not the maid.❤
For three years I looked at the mess on the inside glass not realizing how easy it was to deal with. Many thanks.
@@darrelganzert8909 you are welcome
I saw the thumbnail for this video and gasped, "How did he open that?!"
There has been dog hair and grease on the inside of our oven door from the previous owners and it has been driving me crazy! Thank you, sir! 😊
Replying to @thereses Maybe the previous owners used to make hotdogs in the oven hence the dog hairs in the door🤣🤣
You have answered my oven prayers.
I just tuned in on your video.🤗🤗🤗
Now I'm going to be adventurous in my kitchen and clean my darn window oven.
I really do appreciate u.🤗🤗🤗
Thank you so much for this video. I have been living with an annoying streak in my oven for a couple of years and didn’t realize it was within my power to clean it!!!! I can totally manage this!!!❤
LOL
Where has this video been for all of my life?
Thank you
You do a very good job of showing and explaining how to clean things that we have no idea how to tackle. Keep up the good work. And thank you so much!
Glad you love it!! Clean makes us all happy.
Thank you so much!!! This has bugged me for 5 years! It worked just like you said. Forever grateful!!!!
Thank you!!
Thus video is super useful!!..SIDE NOTE.. SAMSUNG APPLIANCES SUCK.. They always only last as long as your warranty.. without fail ..
Just discovered your channel! You are a gem! Thank you!! Now I'll find the one on how to clean the oven and I'll be in business!!! Thank you again!!!
Glad I stopped by. Been wanting to do this for a long while. I was hesitant because I wasn't sure how to take the door apart to get to the inside glass area. Now that I seen it I know I can do it. Thank you so much. put that chore back on my to do list.
Very welcome!!
Thank you!!! 👍 I spilled soup 'between' the front and back glass in my oven door, and couldn't figure out how to clean it.
OMG! Where have you been all of my life? THANK YOU!
The grease stripe !!!!
Happy it helped
Brilliant! Thank you so much ❤ My oven door glass has been driving me nuts and I've been so hesitant before watching this video.
Same here!!😊
Please help my oven door hole spring is out cannot get back in
THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
It has been driving me crazy because I couldn't clean between the glass. Now I can, thanks so much. God bless
(Hopefully that makes some sense)
Thank you so much for posting this video.
I will try Pledge Multisurface!!
Stumbled on this video and 1 hour later the entire inside of my oven door is clean! Except between the “sealed” thermal window. Doesn’t seem cleanable. Much easier to do this leaving the door mounted like you did. Thanks for this awesome vid!
He only did part of the job. You need to remove the door to clean all the glass which he did not do..
Very nice! I had no idea this could be done without calling the repairman. Thank you!
OMG, me, when I wash the oven door, I take the whole door off and take it all apart. Ouffff, it's a lot of work, but it's a door that is like new afterwards. I'll try your way next time. It will surely be less long and difficult to do. Many thanks for sharing this. THANKS.👍🤗🇨🇦
I never knew this could be done. Thanks!
Wanting to do this for awhile now but afraid of causing damage to the glass. Thank you for showing how it is done and appreciate your details for those of us who really need them - (like me).
Instead of a box could you pull out the bottom oven drawer to hold up the glass door?
maybe not. My drawer is fragile on plastic sliders. If those break from weight of door you are screwed. Getting replacements and installing sliders down there would be troublesome I think.
No
I love the Video
So much better than taking the door off. I'm 71 years old. A little over 110 pounds. You helped me so much. Thank you!
This video is so helpful and enjoyable with classical music in the background.
The very reason I would not do this on my own, for fear of not putting it back together properly🤔
I totally enjoyed this video thank you so very much for sharing this now I am headed to your other video to see how to remove the door I have had my stove for 3 years so warranty won't be there thank you again!!!God Bless!!!❤
Just watching this from uk , and that is a very big oven ! And very lovely and clean 😊
It’s a standard size in the US.
Excellent!! Thank you! I can do that myself, now I'm going to do it.
Thank you for the demonstration and video. Very helpful!🌟🌟🌟💫
You are welcome!!
Excellent guidance. Just followed your directions on my oven and it worked very well! Thank you.
Be aware that when you get all done and you put the whole thing back together and you look at it there are going to be some streaks in there that you didn't see
yeah glass
Thank you for the fantastic video. I’d love to see one on how to clean the inside of a refrigerator glass that can’t be cleaned from the outside…and my refrigerator is an expensive one, yet it’s impossible to clean between the glass.
Love watching your video Thank you.
THANK YOU. JUST watched your video. I was clueless. Went n bought Dawn power wash... followed your instructions (my handle fell off but I was preped, lol) worked great 👍 thank you@@@
I am forever grateful to you! I had no idea I could even get in between like that. Thank you thank you thank you!
I didn't either!
Watching a different video, I planned to take off the entire door but this worked perfectly. One exception is on the upper oven door, the glass is encased so I could not separate them. I am not even sure how the drip got inbetween the glass. Anyway, great video - it was actually easier than I thought...and that rarely happens!
I did a video to remove the door as well!
Experience has taught me to never again buy an oven with air vents that capture dust and grime so don't mind not having to clean like this 😊 Peace
Nice video. You have inspired me to clean the inside of my door too. I have avoided it, concerned about damaging a gasket seal in there. Guess I'll find out.
Regarding voiding the warranty, I'm curious how they would know you cleaned the inside of the glass. Hmmm...
Thanks for the tutorial. As I watched, I was thinking you could have pulled the lower drawer to support the door during cleaning.
Thank you for sharing ❤❤❤
Over tightening was my issue too. But I learned a technique called 'Two Finger Tight' when I went to Sony VTR training back in the 80's. They said make it as tight as only your two fingers can make it and you will not over-tighten your screws. Great advice and I use it till this day.
Great suggestion
Awesome. Didn’t even know this was a thing.
Thanks so much I had a streak going down the middle of the glass which was driving me crazy with your helpful video I was able to clean it!! Lol. Thanks again
Sorry but that oven is way too clean to have been used much.
I can tell you that the things he did will work on ovens that haven’t been cleaned in many years
It's so clean that his vert white wiping cloth is stained by the soap.
OCD
Thank you for the tips on how to clean the oven glass door. I will try this this week
Great clip !! Thank you so much !!
I will certainly clean my oven the way you did. Thank you.
Great video! I like the disclaimer and how you show the process in detail. I never liked the idea of removing the door and it is the first time I saw this. Thanks!
Thanks 😊
Thank you Gizmo, is going to be my first time to clean the oven for my mom, and I started watching ur video
Thank you so much.
I wish my oven door was this simple. My LG oven has 17 screws to remove! Every brand and model is different I imagine
@@dmitripogosian5084 the only good LG buy I made was a smart tv. Its perfect since 2017. But, never going to invest in LG appliances ever again.
Yup just found a great video on how to do this for an LG oven -ruclips.net/video/v3Jj_vZeFgs/видео.html - the video is 30 minutes long! My next oven will be a GE, I think
@@genericreference6969 yes he just commented back to me on his channel. He has a good video on the insane disassembly of the LG door. Mercy on everyone who has to do this!
Used your suggestions and my stove window is clean! Thanks.
Why do you do things like this? Now I am going to have to clean my glass, I hate the mess but had no idea how to do it. Now I know and I will obsess about my oven glass till I get a chance to clean it.
😂😂😂😂😂 now, why did this video show up on my algorithm??? I have been ignoring my oven door too because I didn’t know how to clean in between glass. Soon , the guilt will start , I am no longer ignorant….
Thank you so much for this i have often wondered how to get the glass clean again
