Hey Mamas! I decided to switch it up a bit for this weeks video since we had some spring weather here. I wanted to get a head start on some spring cleaning and starteed with my oven door! This is the best way to clean your oven door! Do it! You will love the results!♡
I did it and hadn’t done it before 😊. It was great. To clean it, I never took it apart. I just held the door under running hot water and kept emptying it out until the water coming out was clean. Looked so clean. It was probably steam heat that seeped in between the glass sheets to dirty it, so just hot enough water should release all the dirty parts out again. I would do it again gladly.
This is fantastic because I got a new range and it got a spill almost immediately. I had a company person to come in to clean the door and he said that nothing can be done. So thank you 😊
None of these videos address cleaning between the inner door glass and the second pane under it (there are usually 2 panes of glass before the outer door glass). I had oven cleaner penetrate and go behind the first glass pane, onto its backside and some onto the inside of the inner glass. Someone needs to make a video on this.
I love this series. Ty! Is it possible to turn the music down some? In relation to ur talking it is super loud so I have to change the volume alot and it scares the snot out of me.
I cleaned my door (between the glass) by using a deep sink and turning on the hot tap, filling the door up through one or more of the vent outlets. There are little spaces water can get in there obviously some dirt got in somehow. I filled it with hot enough water then tipped it all out. Maybe about 15 more times and it came up beautifully clean. I was going to use dish soap but I didn’t need to. Wondered how long it would take to get the soap out of inside the door, then what if the soap left inside went brown later? I used no soap inside between the glass. Just water as hot as I could handle safely manoeuvring the door from filling it to emptying it out. I repeated it until the water was completely clean water coming out of there a couple of times. 😊
I had no idea you could take that apart! Mine was given to me second-hand when my original oven broke beyond repair. Problem is, the second-hand oven was stored in a garage or shed, and has cobwebs in there! I cringe every time I bake something and turn the oven light on! Looks like it was decorated for Halloween. 🕸🕷
That must be a really inexpensive oven you have there. My KitchenAid has 4 pieces of glass in the door. There is a full-size outer glass, a full-size inner glass that both sandwich 2 full sized coated inner glass panes. Thankfully, the inner glass catches 99% of the grease and grime that builds up in the oven. 🙄 Thanks for the video!
Oh no! You have to make sure you are going up in over with the hinges and they have to be sprung open first. I show you the trick in the video with the screw driver on how to do this. Just be careful you do not hurt your hand. Sorry, this happened to you Just rewatch and follow the steps. You got this!
Or you can call a certified repairman for your brand and have him take your door apart to clean the glass & it will not void the warrantee but will cost you a service call. 😢

It would be a good idea to place a thick old blanket or cardboard to avoid scratches on the countertop. Thanks for a great demonstration.

What a transformation! The one we have in our rental is pretty old and it crying out to be cleaned.
Put towel on counter to prevent scratches and the door slipping around.

Not all oven doors have similar locking methods. Consult the stove/oven manual.
