Drew Brews in the last meaningless game as a San Diego Charger dove for a fumble and separated his shoulder. He didn’t back away - they thought his career was over. The only team that took a true interest in him was the New Orleans Saints - the rest is history
Cam choked on this play - the rest is history.

Not using a qb run heavy game plan lost them that game, they should have had 30 points by the time the fumble happened, denver wasn't the best vs mobile qbs; ruined his career not knowing the gameplan script the winners of big games (if that fails then you get bad calls to help).
I think they called 1qb run for their mvp qb in that superbowl lol, yeah that's his fault, the qb that couldn't change plays so he was pissec and heartbroken by the 4th quarter knowing they were made to lose. Had he gotten hurt diving for that fumble he'd be called soft anyway (only qb we ever see trucking defensive linemen and people are calling him soft lol)

@@elihathaway6784 there's been many superbowls without a black qb, nowhere on it was race mentioned, idk where you got that from.
I said the game was decided before they took the field and cam newton didn't notice that until someway through the game, cam Newton didn't call plays only do the plays he's told to - you can tell when your offensive playcaller intends for you to lose
If you ask me, it was so Peyton manning my favorite player ever could leave with a ring; a ring he was denied when they wanted Ray Lewis to get his not long before (Peyton manning is white) along with the mystery of Tim Tebow (a white qb) never getting a real chance to be a qb after leading an I think 1-5 team to the divisional round they got slaughtered in by Brady (Tebow not getting a real chance is much more of a disgrace than keepernick failing his chance then making a scene claiming justice; not all of us think racism is everywhere)

But you're taking it out of context. That game was meaningless for the Chargers. Brees goes out, who cares if they win or lose, hell they had a good enough team for any acceptable QB to play efficiently (although obviously not at Brees level). The Panthers only shot at winning that Super Bowl was Cam Newton. He carried them to the game and if anyone had a chance to win it, it's him. He would of gotten injured on that play, and then Panthers lose, no chance, Derek Anderson ain't winning that game even at his best. I don’t know why he didn’t just grab the ball and strip it from Ware. It looks like it was possible after watching it now, but when I watched it in real time; I truly believed he didn’t jump on the ball half hazardously because of the way D Ware had his arm stretched out. His elbow is just about pointing straight upwards at the very moment, plus his hand is on the ball. There is a lot of space between his arm and the ground. I think Cam knew if he would have jumped on the ball he would have broken Ware’s arm, elbow, or shoulder. Or all for that matter. BIG UPS to Cam. I think he’s more than people give him credit for.

Sports are sold out, nothing to respect. Cam "hesitated, choked" because manning was retiring and the bigger name has to go out with a bang, not retire losing to some chump. Retjring with a ring solidifies mannings name forever in the industry necause of it mannings market rose instead of dropping and his face is everywhere now.

I can't remember for sure, but I think Cam took a nasty helmet to helmet shot during that game before the fumble. Maybe he had a concussion when that fumble happened. Maybe he couldn't think clearly. Cam really hasn't been the same since that game. Much like Vernon Davis wasn't the same after he was hit while defenseless in an NFC championship game in Seattle. Jimmy Graham was never the same after getting knocked out in an NFC championship game in San Francisco. Pretty sure Cam took a huge hit in that game.

🙄... Every player does. Whether it b for vanity (not diving) or for glory (diving), he chose either one, he does it for himself. The problem is, he only had a split second to choose, and glory hounds r gonna eat that shit up. Especially Cam Newton. To question Newton's toughness is absurd. That kid has taken more of a beating than anyone not named Vick or Cunningham. That's a fact. His toughness has never been a question. His vanity and ability to handle adversity, especially when the chips r down? That's what I personally have always questioned. If he's afraid to take a beating by the media and fanbase, how is he expected to lead men on a field? Hence, the downfall of his career. He will never recover. I don't think he has the balls to admit his mistakes, and grow into anything more. That's the real problem with Cam Newton. Unfortunately, really. Cuz he's arguably the most talented QB I've ever witnessed play the game. That's just me.👍💯✌️

I typically enjoy TPS videos because they typically offer an objective examination of certain situations or individuals. This, however, was not that. I am a born and bred Carolina fan who always errs on the side of building up our team and players. This was more of an individual’s exposé and blatant support of Cam. Not at all what I usually enjoy from TPS.

How can you call anyone Superman when they wouldn't dive on a fumble in the Super Bowl??
The Super Bowl is many times a career defining game. You never know if you will ever get back there again. Just ask Dan Marino about that fact. Being a good guy off the field and being generous is a great thing but it has nothing to do with football. You cannot use the name Superman for anyone that is afraid to dive on that fumble in the biggest game of your life. I wonder how his teammates REALLY felt and how many of them will never get another Super Bowl chance again. Don't make excuses for a situation in which there is no excuse. He has great athletic ability but perhaps his "eccentricities" (and that play) are the reason he still hasn't been picked up by another team after being cut by Carolina. Hopefully this snub will light a fire under him and allow him to use the fantastic God given talents that he has.
