When I was in my twenties, I walked into a Lotus dealer and asked for a test drive of the Elise. They threw me the keys.
I was shocked - "Do you need to come with me?"
"Don't worry, just bring it back in a couple of hours."
I've been a fan of the marque ever since.

Very nice car! This will certainly be the best selling Lotus ever. The "Korean siesta" is due to battery recalibration, by shortly interrupting the charge (or throttle to a low value) the SOC can be recalibrated based on the voltage response during the throttling. If you don't do that, there is a risk that at 100%, it might actually be at 97% or also 103%. The BMU estimates the SOC during charging based on the current but it's more exact if a recalibration is done during the charge.
