Sent it back !! Brought the Aiper Scuba S1 for my pool & had to send it back. It couldn’t clean the walls on the up slope from deep to shallow, would get stuck and just keep climbing the wall in the same 5ft section
Cool robot, it made short work of that debris and was still hungry for more so cleaned the waterline! I liked seeing the water being pushed out of the vents at the top 😊 if I had a pool I would have one just like it but with a tether to avoid lithium ion disappointment.
I’m a big fan of liquid chlorine for shock, I don’t know how the chemical stuff works in the UK, but a liquid has always been my go to, little cheaper and you can regulate the amount easier IN MY OPINION that is. Also fun fact. Did you know flock was initially invented for sewerage treatment? Just learned that lol
Good luck finding that model sold in the UK. They only sell the seagull model in UK. Anything shipped from US or Europe won't have UK plug. Gave up and bought a corded dolphin. More powerful. 3 hours is not enough time to do a decent size pool. Having to wait to recharge would do my head in. I vac first on opening so less gunk going into the sand filter.
Love this channel but it has made me realise that I wouldn't actually want to own a pool, not in the UK anyway. Most pools that are shut down have covers on them and they still require work when opened. Despite having a cover on it's still green and dirty, and that is one of the best I have seen when getting reopened.
Agree with AndrewBenton and will also advise of some other issues: Have recently purchase the Scuba 1 Pro and it cannot do everything that the manufacturers at Aiper and a lot of these "Review" clips claim. It cannot handle relatively mild changes in pool gradient at all, and apparently (according to their customer service team) it doesn't work as expected with smooth materials. It certainly doesn't work with my standard ceramic pool tiles, even though they are 15 years old and anything but smooth! Wall cleaning mode struggles with the pool gradient and cannot advance along the wall, apparently because my pool has slightly rounded pool transitions from floor to wall. And it doesn't always manage to dock at the pool edges when the battery runs down. And finally, I think that their customer service team is an AI platform (and a poor one at that), as they appear to answer all questions with common (sometimes irrelevant) answers, and do not try to reach any sort of resolution other than to update the firmware again (even if you've clearly stated that it is up to date). Or that the machine seems to be operating correctly!
I'm not the biggest fan of robots our biggest seller is Maytronics Dolphin but personally I opt to sell a suction cleaner.. I'll give wireless a miss for the moment but it performs pretty well I won't lie..
Bought an Aiper pool robot. Found they had cancelled the App, no backup from the factory or supplier and worst of all no spares available. Buy at your own risk
@@nathandominguez648 The app didn't work as Aiper had withdrawn it, they said they might reintroduce but didn't. I also asked about spare parts as I was concerned about lack of support. As I am in the UK they won't supply any spare parts, I asked if they would ship them to a friend living in France so he could ship them to me, they refused. So pretty poor support. My cleaner was very good but they discontinued it very quickly, the replacement model was useless, it just bunny hopped around the pool and again this has now been discontinued. Bear in mind that my cleaner was a 2023 model so they don't keep them in production long. Best avoided and go for a better supported cleaner. Shame as my Seagull 3000 was very good.
Pool guy from us here, what percentage is your granular chlorine? For insurance/storage danger I’ve always just done more liquid. Although I would like to be able to just do a smaller dose of granular.
Also from my experience at least, customers with automatic vacs never want a brush or even 1 a month vac. Always have issues with staining even with very good lsi balances
I might be crazy but for over 1k it should at least get the shot off the bottom without dumping it back into pool beyond frustrated my pro is we tall did
I use a dolphin m400 corded every other day and on the other day I was using a Aiper s1 it worked OK , then I decided upgrade to the S1 pro, it worked three times then it locked up the control (power on ) button quit working ….the S1 pro sucks well not anymore….I went back to the regular S1
No, plus these pools hold 10,000+ gallons. My pool holds about 18,600 gallons. It's expensive to replace all that water. Where would it all go? You can't just dump 10,000 gallons into the street or some corner of your back yard. Plus refilling that much water would take days. After that you still have to chemically treat that water so algae doesn't grow in it anyways, and so that it's comfortable to swim in.
Hi What do you use to clean the water line? I saw some kind of white paste applied just above the water line...? Please advise what I can use to get the vacuum to clean the water line in a polyester pool. Second question. How does this robot go up the stairs? Does it go up or down, or does it clean a little?
the water helps the pool stay in the ground our neighbor had one put in that fall he drained it and left for 2 weeks came out to the deep end sticking out of the ground 3 feet up!
Whoever made that robot is a genius
Holla ya boy for the advertising
I have the cheapest Aiper and I love it!! It helps save me so much time!

you should do some reviews on suction side pool vacuums

I really need to know what brush you are using- the results is stunishing and the effort looks minimal

they cover is for safety and to keep larger debris out.. you will almost always get algae, cover or no cover.
Pool is expensive and a pain in the ass smfh
Agree, I would love my own pool but for me its easier and cheaper to use the gym swimming pool

Can you elaborate. I was thinking about getting one

Must be temu stuff 😂jk
All these need is a docking station they can somehow get to so they can charge themselves back up.

Your discount code didn’t work 😢
Can we get some more pool vids, instead just one to act as an ad...
He posts a lot on tiktok.
That robot is after your job🤣
My s1 pro dumps debris back in pool when I pull it out the filter door comes open every time 2nd replacement

What chemicals did you use? Ty!
😮😮😮😮👍👍👍👍
You ever accidentally fallen into a pool that looks green like this?
Lol this pool is not a problem.. swampy green pools are the ones you don't want to fall into
I hope it’s heated. So far the weathers been yucky.
It must be full of expensive homes where you live.
Are you a “Kingsman” ?😂
👍👍👍👍👍
Aiper u so cute
Isn't it easier to drain all the water, wash the pool with a car wash and pour clean water?
Not remotely.

Looked like the vacuum was blowing a lot back into the water?
I don't understand why people don't drain out the pool when they know they are not going to use it till next year

@AndrewBenton-n2t did you get the scuba s1 or s1 pro???
Horrible brand
Piece of crap. Don't buy it!
All those chemicals!!! Do you swim in it or dissolve bodies in it??? 😂🤣😂🤣
Wow that thing sucks. It’s just spitting whatever it picks up back out of those vents.
Look at all that debris it’s pumping out of its filters
After reading this comment I've looked back.. what's the time stamp?
@@olliefs9298What? The entire section where the robot is cleaning dude.
@@darksoulsvet5456 no robots will keep that fine sediment dust.. in this video zero debris is coming through the cleaner..
Even a sand filter will allow flocculant sediment through
