Cheers mate, been seriously thinking of getting the S1 before the summer hits. What are your thoughts of a kidney shaped pool, would it be ok with that?
Thanks Bill. Excellent review input. I am trying to justify it against the Madimack i45. It seems that the Scuba S1 Pro is better and a bit cheaper. However, I am very concerned about their support, warranty and availability of parts in Australia. I have been burnt already with PoolBot B300 product. What is your take.
Have recently purchase the Scuba 1 Pro and it cannot do everything that the manufacturers at Aiper and a lot of these "Review" clips claim. It cannot handle relatively mild changes in pool gradient at all, and apparently (according to their customer service team) it doesn't work as expected with smooth materials. It certainly doesn't work with my standard ceramic pool tiles, even though they are 15 years old and anything but smooth! Wall cleaning mode struggles with the pool gradient and cannot advance along the wall, apparently because my pool has slightly rounded pool transitions from floor to wall. And it doesn't always manage to dock at the pool edges when the battery runs down. And finally, I think that their customer service team is an AI platform (and a poor one at that), as they appear to answer all questions with common (sometimes irrelevant) answers, and do not try to reach any sort of resolution other than to update the firmware again (even if you've clearly stated that it is up to date). Or that the machine seems to be operating correctly!
This RUclips channel is dedicated to helping people. I have never and would never suggest bad products or steer people in the wrong way. My morals and values are not for sale 👍👍👍
It does feel like a commercial which is a worry. And it seems an AI driven support team means actually speaking to a human might be hard. In it's favor Choice Magazine rated it No:1.
Hello Bill, thnks for the review.
Would love to see a comparison on some of the Maytronics $3k cleaners that many say are the best. Wonder how this compares…

You’re welcome. They can manage a kidney shaped pool with no problem. Mine has a lot of curves and steep hills walls as well👍
