    An old friend , female ex military weapons expert. She has a farm herself. 85 Acres to be specific which had been a N.C. Tobacco Plantation. She ripped it out root and branch and turned it into an organic farm. She had posted No Trespassing and No Hunting. Over the years she found that people had trespassed and had hunted on her land. She cares s 38 Special and has a Concealed Weapons permit. One year she found their camp they were out setting salt licks and tending their blinds. So she piled up guns, and all their equipment and called the local fire department after she set all their equipment on fire. The Fireman came she informed them of the situation. When the illegal hunters returned needless to say the were not happy and said she was threatening them and why wasn't the Fire Department putting out the fire? The Fire Captain informed them that they were monitoring the "controlled burn on private property and the fire was legal and if it got out of hand they would stop it. They said otherwise they were just going to watch till it burned itself out. It did band all partys went their separate ways. I told her get a sign that said Trespassers will be shot and survivor's will be shot again. 😂

    A couple of years ago. a farmer in County Durham, UK, asked 2 men to move their car as it was parked on the private lane to his farm. Their car was stopping him driving his vehicles off the farm. They refused to move their car. He went back to his farm, got in a forklift truck, drove back & asked the men to move their car again. They still refused. So he used the forklift to pick up their car & move it off his property. One of the men punched him through the driver's window. The farmer was taken to court as he damaged the car. The jury found him innocent of all charges. There is a YT video of him moving the car.

    I grew up on a farm. Every year when dove season scores of cuty people would come right on my dads property to shoot doves. He put no hunting fines every 6' around the property. Finely he just started calling the constable out who filed a warrant against the city dove killers and the problem finely stopped.

    Being around ranchers and farmers almost all my life I believe the chemicals leaching is less of an issue. I believe the bigger issue is soil compaction. The roots can’t get past the compacted soil. They starve for nutrients and a their strength is weaker. They can blow over at times

      There was a distinct lack of "you can park here" signs, which is all that is required. Anyone that disagrees with that, OK, then the fault still lies with the drivers for not putting "don't block me in" signs on their cars.

    • @robertsmalls3513
      @robertsmalls3513 Месяц назад +1

      Sometimes putting up a sign is all about the legal protection, not the practicality of it. Like when somebody wants to sue a business for allowing something to happen because the manager and employee didn’t do anything, but the business shows they have a sign so they “prove” that they had something to say it wasn’t allowed

      @robertsmalls3513 what's easier, putting up signs where you can park, or putting up signs in the many more places you can't?

    He should have set up some basic snow fencing with one entrance and charged like $10 for parking. One guy, one money box, and a folding chair. Pretty soon everyone around there would be doing it and parking would be under control because the flea market would buy some property for parking or something. People in my area make a fortune charging for parking in their lots around big events. The chemicals are another matter. Seriously - cheap orange snow fencing. They must have it in Europe as well - it can be purchased at the local supermarket in the United States in many areas. Honestly, he could turn the area into grass and made probably a lot more money. My major concern would be liability. In the US, it's stupid.
    However - your land, your call. Hell, I have neighbors that call the city about my cottage garden every year (which photographers love and have published photos of- and the city inspector told me should be on the city garden tour). I've told them that if they'll pay my mortgage, they can determine my I haven't received any checks, so...
