Apparently, the FBI had been monitoring him as a suspicious person, prior to the Butler rally and SS had already been alerted that he was there when this video was taken.
Here's my thing. The lack of radio communication, lack of drones when you can buy one at Walmart cheap, people not at their post on the roof, the cops spot him with a gun on the roof but don't stop him and actually run away, etc.... is all just sickening like a bad joke.

the problem with government agencys is long term retention, after time a lot of the best move on, its not a job for life, and those that stay or are recruited under bad managment,m fail to uphold the standards and that adds to lose of agents, eventualy your pool of candidates arn't as good as before, every organization needs a shake up every decade.
They should stop using pics of him from years ago if they want people to identify him. The media seems to love showing pics of people when they were much younger, especially when they are criminals.

Serv. in the news recently; #1 agents break in to a private business while on duty at a different event to use the bathroom or whatever but put tape over the RING camera first to hide the break-in, and #2 another episode where an agent abandoned her post to go breastfeed in a secured area and also let her family members in to that secure area. I think that tells me why there's a morale and staffing shortage. People are quitting because of this kind of stuff going on unchecked or condoned by leadership.

By himself, looking around, not really engaging with anyone. This video is not as mundane as you think Mr. Boyd. The Secret Service should have spotted this guy. It wasn't long after this video was taken that the shooter was spotted using a range finder, and still wasn't stopped. The bottom line is, President Trump should have never been allowed on stage until this guy was found, and questioned. There's even a still image that shows the guy with what appears to be a rifle slung over his shoulder. This was an epic failure by the SS.

Jill was speaking inside a building that already has heavy security numbers from the casino’s own security staff.. Trump speaking in an open field to thousands of people where a shooter could set up almost a mile away to try and take a shot.. just another example of poor and incompetent work by the higher ups of the secret service under this administration
They had plenty of SS agents. But they had a piss poor plan for cover whether intentional or not. The plan and prior actions might as well be criminal. The Butler police had setup radios for USSS labeled and ready to go and they didn’t take a single one. They also didn’t show up for the meeting to discuss the plan. And the only time they did anything was after Crooks rifle was already disabled by local law enforcement.

Yeah, Jill Biden was in the same state at the same time as Trump was, but Jill had a lot more security than trump did that day
