I can't remember if this was in the English version, but I think there are romance cut scenes between any couple you didn't get in the middle of lol. Might be cool to see those?
@@kirikat9365that’s actually a really good idea but I think it goes against the getting everyone up to max affection because I think those events require the bachelorettes to be below 4 hearts and Bachelors to be above 4 hearts (and vice versus for female players) still it would be really cool to see!

True, a mini game to get story-driven items is a pretty interesting mechanic in a farming game lol
Jack you truly make me so happy. HM was the biggest part of my child hood. Every game I would wait till release day, and drool over the game till I got home to play it. My little child mind would never have imagined reaching the level you have. Thank you for showing little me what was possible in this game, and doing so in a manner that respected the game instead of breaking it down into numbers and strategies, voiding the game of the true personality it has. Harvest Moon is a game that us hardcore gamers can really only appreciate as a kid when every day breaks down into us just being farmers and raising crops, talking to who we see. I have recently replayed several titles and each villager becomes a number, skipping through their dialogue and gifting them a +500 gift. I wish I could go back to before I knew the optimized styles, and you helped me relive them.

Your comment definitely resonates with me as someone who likes to get all the achievements and see everything a game has to offer, it's tough to slow down and *feel* the game, if that makes sense. I find that's what streaming the game really helps with. It's much easier to get into the story when you have to "entertain," because you can't just run around and, as you said, treat every encounter as a quid pro quo.
these two videos have already made me so nostalgic for magical melody i'm hoping for a remake some day. also just love your way of narrating through the days idk it's just very entertaining. can't wait for more!

My favorite Harvest Moon game
I'm right there with you! AWL, MM, and FOMT were the only HM games that I owned as a kid. I know a lot of people really like 64 and DS so I might play those privately lol
I just started Harvest Moon Save The Homeland on my PS2. It's good but has 1 flaw when it turns to night you can't see a thing as to where your going in the game. Other than that liking it so far. 🤷♀️ Back then I played: Harvest Moon 2 & 3 on GBC didn't play to many other harvest moon games until the 3DS I LOVED both Story Of Seasons 3DS games~ ❤ Still have both games~ 🤣 Got Story Of Seasons A Wonderful Life for nintendo switch (never played the original but heard about it when it came out I high school back then) also playing Story Of Seasons Pioneer Of Olive Town for nintendo switch~ 💖 I remember Harvest Moon on the SNES vaguely. My older friends had the game on SNES I did not in the 90's~ 🤷♀️ Kind of wondering how I missed that game particularly because I over 60+ games for my super nintendo back then~ 🤣🤷♀️✌️

so happy this video is finally out! great video. i would like if in the next video you could show all the plot of lands that you own and where they are situated to one another, i have a hard time following where you are when you move around (i havent played this game in a long time)
That's a great idea! Spoiler alert, but 300 days will probably be the last one in this series since I only have a couple notes to go, so I'll spend a lot of those next 100 days doing some sidequests and beautifying all the land I own, then will finish the video with a complete runthrough of the entire village lol

I am SO glad that you decided to continue this series! It was such a soothing, nostalgic thing to put on over the weekend. Congrats on getting hitched 👐Gwen's gotta love being married to the biggest landlord in Flowerbud. I meant to ask: do you rarely ride your horse? I saw it had zero stars during the race selection screen, which I feel like shouldn't be possible a year into the game...unless you prefer hoofing it on your own two feet lol
Great question! I never ride the horse for two reasons; I'm too lazy to bring it out with the bell or the reigns and it doesn't appear to provide a boost in speed compared to just walking around.
@@JackDuckGoose omg I forgot about the gosh-awful reins 😩 no wonder you never bother. As for the speed boost: I think it starts out only as fast as you, but at max stars, it's pretty significant...but it's been a hot minute since I played, so that might be total nostalgia talking lol

Did anybody already told him that you can run trough the crops in this Game so you dont need to let the middle Out... And that the stars on the horse is the speed that only goes up the longer He rides the horse?..... So yeah, i would like to see a full star horse ❤
I haven't been able to run through the crops.....maybe I'm stupid lol. My character can jump between crops that don't have any harvestable product. Regarding the horse, I'll definitelly get one of them up to full stars, I just don't ride the horse since the speed seems to be just as fast on foot. Thanks for the comment and suggestions!

This game is so fuckin underrated, along with Innocent Life
For sure, it's definitely a slow burn so I can see why a lot of HM fans and farming game fans overlook it
I have this but I could never figure it out how to play decently lol… so I hated it tbh… I think I still have it somewhere for my Wii that’s somewhere lol
In my opinion, MM isn't as laid back as other HM games. There is definitely a direction the game pushes you towards and that can be more of a hurdle to people who just want to relax and play a farming game lol. But, if you enjoy trying to complete everything and want to try it out, it's a very solid game

MM is my least favorite in harvest moon games,because of the control and gameplay but after watch this im tempted to give 2nd try 😊
Honestly, I felt the exact same way when I first played it and the first couple days of recording, but it kinda grew on me. Maybe that's because I had a goal that I'm working towards as a completionist, but I found myself less and less bothered with stuff as I kept playing. Once you get all the power berries and the max rucksack, it's a lot easier to enjoy lol
