For me, all the bachellorettes are decent, if not good, but Lumina was always that little girl who had a crush on the farmer in the originals, so thats where I will always see her lol
I like matthew a lot more than gordy and gustafa. guess we all have our preferences. for me matthew is an A tier because he is actually rather sweet. he is shy and introverted but passionate and cares a lot for his family while also being insecure about not doing good enough for vesta.
he may act like a brooding edgelord but he doesnt have any friends and finds it hard to get close to people. but if you get close to him then he is sweet. now MARLIN is a different story. cant defend that man.

I married Gordy in the game and he is a total sweetheart. I honestly really like his character and his character design. My kid in game is a child (currently on chapter 3) and he is the sweetest father ever. My favorite bachelor of all the possible marriage canidates (including female). Under him would probably Cecilia since I like her character a lot, but Gordy will always be #1 for me.
He's okay. I also married him. I just hate how easy he is on the kid. Always taking her side and letting her get away with being a little brat.
@@gwjsbm I mean I haven't seen that on my end tbh (must've missed a few cutscenes I guess), but Gordy is pretty nonconfrontational and stuff so he might be scared to do so despite it being his kid. Despite that glaring fact though, he's still my favorite bachelor.

I'm shook at the fireworks twins being F tier. I love those weirdos. I just did the tierlist and immediately threw all of the Harvest Sprites into F tier, they're cute but bore me to death. Also Mufumufu earned that top spot

I went for Nami in the original and did it all over again in the remake. She's always been one of my favorite characters in the series.
Also, about Dr. Baddoch, I grew to like him even more when I stumbled across the cutscene where he tells Mukumuku how he got that eye. I won't spoil the details, but I'll say he's a doctor that truly cares for his patients.
I was trying so hard to get that cutscene and couldn't manage it so I'm excited for another shot in the remake lol
I wish Flora was a bachelorette I always thought that she would have been a better option than lumina.

I will say what ups Gavin is the scene you get if you marry Molly. She pretty much has that father daughter moment and your character has a good father son moment with him.

Celia and Lumina being in C hurts me, but not as much as the fact that Flora isn't a batchelette in the remake. At least we still have Harvest Moon DS for that. :')

I will always think of Rock as the worst bachelor from the whole franchise and hey, I guess that is amazing in is own way 😅. The thing that make Rock the worst to me was not just that he was a lazy bum but that in a cutscene on the DS Cute version of the game he dared to scream at his Mom, his mom is such a sweetheart... So not only he is a lazy bum, he also pays no respect to the person that fully supports him even though he is an adult.

I totally agree about Gordy- great redesign but I would have personally made him bigger- make him look like a boy and more like a man. Stronger looking. And I would have made the arm crossing look less silly haha otherwise mostly like everyone’s redesigns

@@JackDuckGoose and he was!!! They let you marry him in DS (alongside Flora) and his romance was very well written and sweet and I was so fucking ready to do it again in the remake but they just. Cut both DS romance candidates.
Like I enjoy Cody, I married him out of the rest of the other bachelors. But like, I am still upset they cut Griffin’s bachelor status. They’re not going to remake DS or DS Cute more than likely so it just feels like we got done dirty since they put every other edition of awl in the remake except DS.

The more I think about it, the more I think of how Flora and Daryl being love interests alongside Gordy would've been amazing.
From what I've seen Flora is a sweetheart and would be the "shy girl" bachelorette like Mary from Friends of Mineral town, plus she was a bachelorette before in the Harvest Moon DS game, so it would've been a nice little callback, and Daryl is... well Daryl. Who wouldn't want to get married to an eccentric but well-meaning scientist like Daryl?
Having Gordy as a bachelor is fine, he's pretty ok in my opinion but having just one new romance interest is not enough, but hey the game is out and all we can do is just think of what could've been, I suppose.

I'll never completely be able to separate Matthew and Marlin, so it's tough to take an active interest in him lol

The 9 heart event got me with Celia. It's really good and to deny her in it, I just couldn't do it. Muffy is definitely my next playthrough especially after going through the years and hearing how dudes keep screwing her over.

Hi! Question… What console do you play/record this game on? I’m trying to decide if it’s worth getting it on the PS5 for crisper graphics, quicker loading screens, draw distance, and higher frame rate/better performance overall. I haven’t been able to find comparison videos of the game on different consoles.😩
Great question! I play on PC, but I've got a pretty old system (4790k with a 1080 GPU). I've found streaming/recording with my setup on medium settings is pretty good for 60 FPS, so a modern console like a PS5 would probably be MUCH better than my experience.

I should’ve been more clear; I was debating between getting it on the Switch or the PS5, but wasn’t sure if the differences in the things I mentioned would be noticeable enough between the two or if they run about the same. @@HeyoChris Sorry I can't be more helpful lol. From what I've been told, the differences between Switch and PS5 are noticeable. A lot of people comment on my streams that my game looks very good compared to the Switch version, so I'm sure the PS5 looks even better.

Muffy/Molly is my favorite bachelorette in the ENTIRE series. I love awol, but I really didn't want a remake because nostalgia glasses didn't stop me from remembering just how depressing and hopeless the vibe of it could be for a good chunk of it. Being able to marry Muffy again tho? It makes me so happy. Now that the mechanics aren't a menace like most old games are, I'm trying to make our daughter into a scholar, just like Muffy wants. (I'm succeeding too. Very proud of myself)
yay! I'm glad that the remake isn't a total loss. I can definitely sympathize with wanting to keep the original magic of a game and having a remake ruin it. I feel like they did a pretty faithful re-imagining of the original and I've been having a lot of fun with it!

Nami has had my heart since the GaneCube. I got Harvest Moon DS just to marry her again. After dying in AWL, the only thing that comforted me was that I had fulfilled my promise to her: we grew old together and I loved her for the rest of my life. I am still a dramatic adult, but I treasure this little video game woman dearly.

When I got the game, I was so ready to marry Muffy/Molly or Cody/Gordy as I always was soft for them and especially wanted the latter to be a bachelor. Muffy has always been a character I felt a lot for (plus she’s beautiful) and her personality is more interesting than a lot of the others. For Cody, I always thought he was super cool and always tried to be his friend in the older games, so I was ready to marry him (his admittedly less attractive redesign notwithstanding.) I was so, so ready to go for one of them.
And then Rock made me laugh.

I feel like Luminas story and character is pretty tragic, kinda like Muffy. Lumina is my go-to candadite. Because she seems so lost and deals with a lot of heartache. Surprised shes so low on the list. Especially when I personally think Lumina has more depth than any other female candidate.
She definitely has a tragic backstory, maybe that's why she is so low on my list. Don't want to deal with all this digital baggage lol

If I was only basing my list off the remake, I think he would be a bit higher. I just can't shake my Marlin bias from the original lol

That's fair, that's more than fair. I'll be the first to admit most of the marriageable characters lose their charm after year 1, to me at least. After the courting process and getting all the cut scenes, they are just another entity on the farm

I would say that this Tier list is essentially more how I feel about them as a character and less so about their character progression, design, development, etc. For me, he's charming and provides some goofy entertainment lol

There are three mini-games present in the remake; cooking, grave cleaning, and territory capture. I think the grave cleaning is the same? I'm honestly not sure now lol

But she has a hard exterior and a soft center which was what I always liked lol
