@@fokakya which is suprising to me, because Ford is based in Michigan, where we do get snow. But I looked at the door handles thinking, now they've made opening the door a two step process, why. Instead of just pulling on a handle, you have to press a button then pull on a handle.
Many of the reviews that I've seen have been done by tech reviewers as opposed to car reviewers which I think makes a big difference. And plus nobody else is Doug.
Yes, every car which has an engine there. How often do you need to access the engine versus how often do you use the trunk/frunk? It’s a lazy design, they should have changed the locking mechanism to be the same as the trunk
It’s all fun until someone finds out that the “fake fingers” are actual fingers of Ford testers who lost them when trying out the new door closing mechanism
Anyone watching this later... I'm posting Oct 2022.. Canadian. Got 2 key fobs with the car. App opens the frunk now. The profile system he mentions can also be tied your individual key fob, door code OR phone now. Not just phone. It is one of the best features of the car for homes with 2 or 3 drivers. In Canada the car comes with the portable charger that is capable of 32A on the NEMA 240V. We are still very new owners - but after a fun day of playing with all the features - we are extremely impressed. Early reviews won't do justice to the updated experience.

I think the front storage latch is more of a safety concern, like a suicide door. Yeah... except it ain't a "hood," which covers an engine. The whole point of a reliable car is that the hood should very rarely need to be opened, assuming the engine is working as designed. This is a trunk, and needs better access on a daily basis.
@@toner37 Yes... on cars where the "hood" covered an engine, and very rarely needed to be opened. Imagine if your trunk could only be opened from inside the car. That's what this actually is.

Other brands tried that and some dealership owners opted to be bought out by the company instead of spending well into the 6 figures to install the super chargers. Also in my area most if not all dealerships are located on the outskirts of the city meaning you would have to drive 20-30 minutes out of the city just to charge the car then drive 20-30 minutes back. Not nearly as convenient as having gas stations everywhere.
Agreed. Also how can someone say “no one cares”? The mustang logo faces left because a proper race horse goes right . “a wild horse”. The whole Mustang brand is to go against the flow and be innovative, which the Mach E does, but it doesn’t stay true to the heritage of the pony cars that came before it. It’s the Pony emblem for Christ sake. I think the new SUV is insanely beautiful and features exciting new technologies but to keep the badge on there is insulating the Mustang fanatics, possibly a bad move by Ford.
I just brought one of these cars and I have to say this is the first EV that proves to me you don’t need Tesla to make it an electric vehicle. Not only it just looks and feels so much better but it also having excellent technology, features, equipment etc. It really is Ford versus the world. They are going at it with Tesla and Jeep in 2021 and I’m just very impressed this is a different Ford.
this is basically Android compared to Tesla being Apple. Here you get a funky design, lower quality, random gimmicks, less practicality, and less compatibility - but at a lower price
And what If it didn't even have a kick stand like 99% of cars out there? Do you smash your fingers in those all the time or something? Why would your fingers get smashed in the door opening it in the first place?
