Hi Kim, I'm an RN on Mounjaro age 55, for weight loss and disease management due to obesity. And just a response to your statement. Yes it has been explained by many obesity management doctors that these meds for the most part are lifelong. There has been some information discussed on pausing the meds for short periods of time for receptor site recovery for better medication absorption. I know and believe you do also, that we have to put in the work with other lifestyle modifications for optimal results ( I'm a huge work in progress when it comes to the exercise 😅). Would we stop blood pressure medication or insulin use in diabetics do to their disease? I think not and that's the premise of this GLP1 medication. Hopefully it will be affordable for everyone. I am not educated in the medicine that is used for them. I do have family members taking the shots for health issues also. It seems like when we hit the 50’s our body’s really start changing. So I am sorry if I came across unsupportive towards your journey. Please for give me . My father was on a ton of meds for years with heart disease high blood pressure and diabetes. I just was stating that i couldn’t do the shots. I have a horrible fobia of meds . I am happy you commented and I Totally totally agree everyone has to find the best way for them to lose weight and be healthy. We all have different avenues we need to take to get there. But how ever we can support each other thru the trials and tribulations we face with our journey. Fitting obesity is difficult 😞 and for some like me a lifetime of doing it. So like I said no matter what road you go down I know we can all be successful with hard work and dedication. I wish you all the success with journey 🥰I am always here to support❤️❤️❤️❤️I hope you keep us informed on how your journey is doing and give us updates on your health. @@lifeover55withkim Yes, I hear you!! Who wants to be dependent on a shot!! Unfortunately the weight do to many factors including my age, inflammation and thyroid function wouldn't budge. I am very high risk for a massive heart attack. I have two lung conditions, advanced sleep apnea as well which ultimately left me to pray and seek guidance. Thus far the Mounjaro has pushed the needle on the scale that I needed to reduce the horrible inflammation and weight I have been dealing with for many years. But I hear you sister, I don't like meds either, I had to save my life in order to care for my husband who has rapid progressive Parkinson's disease. Subscribed❤️🙏
