Sarran - you seem an absolute font of knowledge for these air cooled engines, it is wonderful to watch you work on them. How did you come by this knowledge? Were you a VW engineer in your past?
I have recently bought a CU 1981 vw t25 and have learned a lot from your videos. I work in IT and this is about as alien to me as it could be, but your videos do give me the confidence to work on my tired engine. I've changed Solex(left) carb for a recon model, done tappets, changed dizzy for powerspark, done a rough setup of my solex carbs - all from your videos. I know you're present on club8090, but it would be great to see you do a new set of these videos with HD camera and even working through some common issues(like tracking down oil leaks).
It is proving hard to find a mechanic to work on my CU engine, hence attempting the work myself. Your videos give me the confidence to do just that - thank you sir!

      Hello,
Thank you for your kind comments..
I'm 67 now and started playing with VW air-cooleds since MT workshop at school and I've always had something on the road since..
I re watched the video and I agree that the important points should be re-shot in HD.
Let's see what the Autumn brings..
      Cordialement
