    I’ve heard that Korean creams with the key word Ato included in their product name are aimed at people with sensitive skin. Looks like Illiyoon, Aestura, and Pyunkang Yul all have an Ato cream. I’d be interested in seeing a comparison video of Korean Ato creams.

The Laneige cream skin, Aestura cream mist, cosrx ceramide mist and holika holika honey mist are my favourites as my skin is very dry and in winter I need to use them a few times a day. Combo skin here ... I agree that this is the lightest formula amongst Purito's moisturizers. When I gave Peach Slices snail a try (even though I have dust allergies), this barrier cream helped the healing process cut down to 2 days. Please don't judge my curiouser and curiouser side of me.
      I also tried the Purito Centella Unscented Recovery Cream (mini) and it was too heavy. I was tempted by the ceramide, many forms of centella, my obsession with mushroom, and my curiosity of perilla. But I completely bypassed my arch nemesis macadamia. Oh well, I got a good deal for 11 different Purito products for $13 so I didn't thoroughly check all the products.
      Dry skin types might like Purito's Dermide Barrier Balm or the Deep Sea Pure Water Cream because of the macadamia. The Dermide even has mango seed butter. Currently curious about 🥭 in skincare.

    THANK YOU for reviewing the Bonajour Green Tea Gel cream!!!!
    I have been wanting to try it for ages! ♥️
    I have very sensitive skin and (oddly enough) the ONLY daily moisturizer my skin loves and hasn’t reacted to has been the Youth to the People Air Whip moisturizer. It is my holy grail, but it is soooo expensive!!!
    I found the Bonajour through research and other influencers who promote skin health for sensitive skin, and was happy because I love green tea AND peptides in my regimen.
    I laughed when you mentioned their peptide moisturizer because I also was confused when looking online- the green tea one DOES have more peptides than their peptide bomb 😅 and it has the green tea!

Maybe it's the beta glucan, but the IUNIK is a tiny bit more calming/soothing somehow than the Thank You Farmer. And the Skin1004 is a tiny bit lighter, with more of a "film-forming" feel, like when you splash your face with water at the end of the day, it feels a bit resistant to removal. Do you have advice for how to narrow down which ingredient/product is breaking you out? For example, how many days after starting a new product would it take to break out, or is it different for everyone? My skin became super reactive to certain products to the point of cystic acne sometimes ever since I got an iud (how crazy is it that even with mild-moderate cystic acne on my face, chest, back, and tops of arms, I’m still not willing to take out my iud in this post-roe world 🙃) so I try to avoid anything with oil because I’m pretty sure certain oils are the culprit, but even then I get random breakouts

    • @AliceintheRabbitHole
      @AliceintheRabbitHole  Год назад +1

      Ah I would say it’s individual. And sometimes that even depends on the product.
      Tbh that IS one of the hardest parts of skincare for those of us with sensitivities. The good news is: once we figure out our triggers, it’s much easier to avoid products with them in the first place ☺️

    Within a few weeks, my husband was diagnosed with cancer, my father was put into palliative care and died, and our house burnt to the ground with our three cats inside (heartbreaking) and 60+ years of memories (not as heartbreaking but still horrible). Then Covid happened, my back broke in a fall, and we dealt with probate. My skin was a wreck for almost two years as a result. My moisture barrier just would not heal. I was breaking out. Everything I put on my skin caused a negative reaction. And my skin aged by about ten years. So, if anyone tells me that stress doesn’t cause skin distress, I don’t listen.

    Hey Alice, I watched lots of your videos recently, and saw that you are a big fan of snail mucin, I researched it more, and watched the dermatologist Shereene Idris short on it and she said it contains Glycolic acid (she also loves cosrx snail mucin essence), but I was shocked that it does contain glycolic acid, and researched it myself and that is true,. My question is - how we can use it in the morning then if it contains such a photosensitive ingredient? ( I want to try the essence myself but because of the glycolic started doubting)... But also dont want to miss out on such a praised ingredient! :) What are your thoughts on it?? :) thank you!

    • @AliceintheRabbitHole
      @AliceintheRabbitHole  Год назад +1

      Yes, it does! But as someone who is sensitive to that ingredient, I would say it’s very, very low in snail mucin, and surely lower when it comes to snail mucin extract. Essentially it’s an ingredient in an ingredient in a product (part of the entire chemical composition -> made into an extract -> formulated into a product). Hope that helps!

    You would probably be a great dog trainer, it is bad practice to scold a dog after an undesired behaviour. I was told to replace an undesired behaviour with a desired one and balanced dog trainers correct during an undesired or bad behaviour. Dogs don't relate things that happen at seperate times together, hence clicker training is very successful because the reward can be given very quickly.

    Ok Ive also been on the search for a very rich, hydrating night cream that works for my very dry skin, without necessarily having to add an oil with it, ykwim?
    Bonus points if it contains any antioxidants, peptides, ceramides, etc. Here's my list, after years of hunting. Unfortunately its a bit spendy but I'm like you- I wait for deep, deep discounts or deals. So, in order:
    1.) Kate Somerville DeliKate Moisturizing Cream (has some peptides and ceramides, and it works well on the most parched and sensitive skin, all on it's own.)
    2.) Dr. Perricone's Neuropeptide Night Cream. Beautiful, packed with peptides and barrier supporting ingredients and it also is enough on its own for my very dry skin.
    3.) La Mer original cream (I KNOW! I know, I promise, you don't even have to say it lol. The price is ridiculous. BUT over the years I've kept my eyes open and have found a few travel/small jars at deep discount. And they last a long time! Also- I know a lot of the ingredients are pretty basic, but I swear that there is *something* real there with that miracle broth.
    4.) Fresh Black Tea Firming Corset Cream. Surprising but true! Very rich, very hydrating and has a great peptide complex. Occasionally I do apply this one twice or add a bit of an oil.
    And that's what I've found so far! Honorable mention to the Sioris Deep in a Barrier cream (bought on your recommendation); its so lovely, but sometimes I do need to apply it twice.
    Do you have any you've found?
