Ok so I take a neutral stance on “clean beauty” in this video (as I always have; I’m very live-and-let-live by nature). But just in the past day, I feel like I’ve seen such an absurd influx of misinformation from the clean crowd. The heck is going on!!? So here’s an extension of that conversation: Mary & May is indeed a “clean” Korean brand. You know what they use in their sunscreens? Organic filters! You know what we call those in the US? Chemical filters! (not great terminology as everything is a chemical). And do you know why they have no problem adding those to their products? Because they are NOT shown to be dangerous - unlike UV exposure, which is a known carcinogen. Be careful on the internet, folks - there’s so much misinformation out there, and a lot of times it seems to be coming from grifters claiming to be experts.
I'm so sick of this "clean beauty" movement. It's not going away in 2024 either. I'm tired of buying skincare only to be disappointed by 85% of it. I finally got Metrogel from my PCP. Next to see my dermatologist and get prescription azelaic acid.
As there is no regulation on the term "clean" any brand can put that label on any product. I just don't understand how people fall for the term. And when you look at the EWG, if brands pay enough to get the nod from them, you can get any product on their OK list!! UGH!!!
Great to hear you talk about price differences between areas. I live in Australia and can’t believe how expensive Mac, Elf, etc are in comparison to prices quoted by RUclipsrs. I have been a KBeauty & JBeauty fan since the 90’s because the skincare is higher-tech and so much more affordable here.
Yeah, and then the idea of “good for the price” completely goes out the window! I think it’s definitely better to talk about what’s good, and be mindful of the price lol
@@AliceintheRabbitHole - I haven’t ever tried Nyx or Elf because there’s no point dumbing down when the price difference is so small it doesn’t make it worthwhile.
I totally agree. Kopari and Traders Joe brand is a luxury brand in my country and using the US dollar currency, one tub of body lotion cost US$25... What... 🤣
NZ based here and what frustrates me the most is that these big brands you mentioned will release products in US, Europe and Australia but we won't get it for months/years or if at all. So if I REALLY want something, I have to find a website that will ship it here :(.
Please consider making a video about those time tested “must have” products in your everyday skincare routine (night/evening). And tell us how/why each product made the cut. This could be a series that’s updated periodically as certain products are replaced. Some RUclipsrs call it their “ride or die” skincare products. Thank you!
When I inventoried my skincare, looks like Deciem is my unintended favorite brand, with equal amounts of NIOD and The Ordinary taking up space. However I have mostly "singles" that I will never be without: SKII, numbuzin no 3 serum, Indie Lee CoQ 10 toner, etc. I don't have brand loyalty, just product loyalty. I don't try new things often, but right now I'm very intrigued by Medicube!
I love how you take account the price differences in different countries! It's complicated as some brands are just marketed different in different countries. I've heard people in the US say Vichy is cheaper than La Roche Posay, while it is reverse here in the Netherlands. Maybelline and Elf are cheap here, but that might be different in every European country. I've never tried Kopari (expensive!!) and I wish that Stratia was available here
I’m so sorry for your loss. We love you so much Alice and please don’t feel guilty for taking time for yourself and your family! Please take it slow..time will soften the pain. Best wishes 💕
Another great video! Love your explanation of cost per use - I have shoes that my gut said $150 was too much, but I wear them so often the price per use is pennies at this point. At TJ Maxx yesterday, they had several Mary and May serums, I picked up the box of 30 heartleaf masks, BOJ ginger water essence, Bring green mugwort toner. Thought "Alice would be so proud" when I scored a set of 3 Kopari lip glossy for $12! Laughed at your learning curve comment because I totally squeezed too much on first use
Anytime I find the Kopari lipglosses at TJmaxx I clean them out. I have noticed lately their kbeauty options have been priced craft high😢 at the store near me, it's so disappointing... It's only been recently 😞
Oh my god, thank you for mentioning that certain brands aren’t inexpensive everywhere. This has frustrated me for 15 years. Especially as a teenager. I would see youtubers talk about drugstore makeup that they would consider as cheap. But over here (the Netherlands) those product would sometimes be as expensive as some high end stuff over in the US. And people from the US were totally not aware of that
I’ve been super obsessed and impressed with Mary and May’s blackberry cream and serum. I can combine the serum with another niacinamide serum and it’s amazing. And then the cream with my retinal and it’s *chefs kiss*
@@AliceintheRabbitHole I’ve been going on a spending spree buying skincare from bloomingkoco lol another great one I’ve been loving is the Jumiso peptide snail essence 🤩
I am not prone to irritation and I loveeed the BOJ Ginseng SPF, but recently I get tingly feeling on my face when I apply it, and I think I developed an irritation. 😢 Hopefully BOJ will really release EO free version, because like you said this sunscreen is perfect for under makeup!
Your rules speak to me. ❤ Stratia is such a fantastic brand. I'd have to include Krave Beauty, P.Calm, Numbuz:n, and Dongibi. I really like the way Mary & May does their sheet masks in the 30 pack boxes rather than individual packaging. I would really like to see a video with your thoughts on the VT Cosmetics Reedle Shot serums.
I feel like p.calm could make my list (rules though, gotta trial them first 🤣). So far, I’ve really liked what I’ve tried! And yep, those sheet mask boxes are fantastic
@@AliceintheRabbitHoleyes please do a whole video on the VT reedle shot. You mentioned it in a video. But I would like to see a full review. Mostly because all the reviews I see are sponsored. And also made by creators who do a little too many sponsored videos for my likings, which made me not trust them anymore. And I really do trust your opinion
Nice selection! My top 5 brands and 3 products from each include: 1. Holifrog: 1) Utopia Microflora Toner* 2) Sunapee Sacred-C Powder Wash* 3) Grand Amino Cushion Cream 2. Sioris 1) Day by Day Cleansing Gel* 2) Time is Running Out Mist 3) Cleanse Me Softly Milk Cleanser. 3. Bubble 1) Plus One Tinted Sunscreen SPF* 2) Come Clean Clay Mask 3) Slam Dunk Moisturizer 4. Kinship: 1) Kinskin Oat Ceramide Relief Oil* 2) Self Smooth 10% Glycolic Serum 3) Self Reflect Probiotic Sunscreen 5. Mary & May 1) Idebenone + Blackberry Serum* 2) Cica Soothing Sun Cream 3) Collagen Peptide Vital Mask * means the product is in my top 10 skincare list of all time. --- I feel like Mary & May would be higher if I tried a few more products from them (I still have that blackberry complex cream unopened). I have favorites from Stratia, Geek & Gorgeous, Face Theory, Purito, and Isntree but need to try more from those brands. The Holifrog Grand Amino Cushion Cream would be my number 1 product from them if it was cheaper. But I really love Holifrog, I've tried all their products except the Halo exfoliator and sunscreen. That Utopia toner really helps my skin to behave! Rarely any flare-ups/breakouts. You should review them. I'm currently trying their more affordable sister brand: Current State of Skin.
@@grandpachun1156 Yes. Skin type: oily-to-combination skin = oily T-zone but dry cheeks and around the mouth. Skin concern: dehydration, hyperpigmentation, and acne-prone.
I got my hands on a Mary & May out here just recently. At a great price as well, it was at Winners! Just a simple Hyaluronics Serum but was so excited due to watching your previous videos. ☺
Thanks for this super fun video, Alice. My top brands at the moment are Prequel, Stratia, Niod and more recently, Bloomeffects. Bloomeffects in particular has such interesting qualities to their products and I've found them to be so soothing. Btw, I'm very excited for your Prequel video, whenever it arrives! 😀
"I don't know if you can tell, but I'm a person who wears makeup" - really, lol? I totally agree that it makes a huge difference in what sunstick works best. Great video and as always I love to hear your thoughts, thanks, Alice! 🥰
This was so much fun! There were several brands in here from which I have products that I love. But I’m not so much a brand loyalist as I am a product junkie. I love Isntree and Beauty of Joseon and Benton (you didn’t mention) and Dr. Jartt ( they have a cleanser that I’m crazy about ). I’m also kind of a fan of some products from Naturium and Versed. It’s so hard because you like one corner of a brand and then another corner of another brand but you’ve got me very curious about a few high-end Korean brands. I’ve never bought anything expensive from a K-beauty Brand. I get too tempted by the reasonably priced items. 🤣
@@AliceintheRabbitHole It's the Dermaclear PH Foam, which is NOT a foam at all--I would call it a gel to cream almost. I picked it up from Stylevana in a PH cleanser haul in which I was trying to find non-stripping cleansers to use as a second cleanse. Your skin is dryer than mine, and it's been a few months since I ran out of the cleanser so the exact texture and finish is not totally clear in my mind, but I just remember feeling like it was a lovely, PH-balanced, non-stripping cleanser.
Awesome video Alice! Can you please do an extended video on the Chogongjin products? I know you briefly touch on it in another video not long ago. But I would love to hear more of your indepth thoughts and reviews on this brand! Because I feel like this is one of the first 'premium' hanbang Korean brand that doesn't cost an arm or a leg; espeically compared to other brands like Sulwhasoo, Donginbi, The History of Whoo etc.
I totally agree, they're probably also worried bc those multi purpose rf devices are gaining traction here and we are their next major target demo after korea obvs.
I just found out they're selling the 6 in 1nin Korea rn and its set for us release in 2024. I went on the Korean website and it looks doooope, I cant wait for the US release.@@AliceintheRabbitHole
Alice, you are my skin twin 👯♀️ we always love the same products 😊 btw, I repurchased the Mary & May Cleansing pads last week even though I also thought I hated toner pads 😂
Hit my favorites mostly. I had another fave for Isntree . Green Tea , remember wild Yam and the Onion Toner isn’t that new lol . Great fun ! thank you for sharing.
Lovely presentation. I enjoy your line of thinking and reasoning. My skin does not tolerate heavy occlusive moisturizers but loves the Chogongjin ! Loved the mini version of the Sulwhasoo first treatment essence. It was around $18-20. It is available now on stylevanna for around $9.00. So you can get 60ml for $36!! I was torn between reordering it and trying Sooryehan the black serum (has exosome technology) Can you share what specific changes you saw with the ussera over the years ? I am yet to see an older person (not you 😉) demonstrate changes while using it.
I love your videos. I always check your uploads. I feel like we have similar skin type, i have acne prone sensitive dry skin type that is why every product you recommend suits me. I hope you will do videos on favorite kbeauty brands and your favorites products from them. I've been using anua toner, roundlab sunscreen and jumiso snail essence i love it. Cerave ointment is my go to every time my skin is compromised. Ive tried Isntree green tea toner my skin couldn't take it. Its really drying.
Have you seen the new release of medicube? The AGE-R Booster Pro, I think. They say it’s an all in one device, except EMS. I hope they put you back on their PR list and send you one. 😄
I totally get what you mean about BOJ, i got their little trial serum pack as my very first k-beauty purchase because each serum contained ingredients i saw a lot in the k-beauty world. I loved all of them, but as i was finishing them up, i had other products in mind to try because i liked the serums, like the cosrx propolis toner and the im from mugwart essence. Its the brand i go to when i want to try something because i know they do everything well for cheap, but quite frankly, theyre like the foster home of k-beauty 🤷♀️ no shade tho because that absolutely has its place and idk what i wouldve done without BOJ
Yes prices are so different . Sometimes irritatingly higher in Japan BUT sometimes much cheaper for K beauty ( and obviously J beauty ) Medicube for the example is so much cheaper here ( yay ) Btw ❤ your top .
I’ve been suspecting YesStyle has higher prices than Korea, as I’ve seen some US brands trickling in (it’s kind of neat how they have everything though!!) but yeah, the US stuff is a lot more expensive than it is here. Oh how I’d love to pay less for medicube LOL. Thank you ☺️
Hi Alice, if your are open to more product suggestions I have on my wishlist a retinal eye cream that I’m curious to see how it’s different from the BoJ’s one, is the Scinic Cicanoid Retinal. Another product that I saw Koreans talk about is the Dermafirm Soothing Repair Toning Serum with Bakuchiol and Glutathione for hyperpigmentation. And lastly check out the brand Medi-Peel, seems so good, I bought my mom a bubble essence for mature skin that is so cool! Thanks 😊
I never really got the hype around Sulwhasoo FCAS…until I paired it with SK-II. FCAS first, then SK-II gives such a glow! I know you’re an SK-II fan so give it a go and see how you like it? It’s like they supercharge each other!
Whoaaa. Wait. Somehow I’ve never tried the two combined!? I always felt they seem to be a similar concept but…this makes so much sense 🤯 Thanks for sharing, I own both, I’ll try them together! 😁
@@AliceintheRabbitHole no worries! Also great when used with the wonderful Numbuzin sunscreen! I feel the finish of FCAS + SK-II + (bunch of steps) + Numbuzin is nicely glowy without crossing over to greasy (and I have combo skin and it’s summer in Oz at the moment). Finding great pairings in skincare can be a rush 😂
Hi Alice. My favorite skincare brands are all the same as yours. 😉 Top favorite is stratia lipid gold. Nothing has resolved my skin barrier other than the lipid gold which finally got the dry scaly skin patch gone from my forehead. Isntree brand is my top Korean brand since the sunscreen, essence and toners are my daily skincare products. It is gentle and none irritating for sensitive and reactive skin concerns. I am using only one device for led facial absorbing technique ultrasonic cleaner and the device is still working well into my 1 year. 😊 Missha Chogongjin products are for mature dry skin together with the Sulwhasoo first care serum and the overnight treatment mask. Yes, I agree with you that just using the certain skin products from them makes my skin texture so much nicer. The pores are almost gone and there is hydration and moisture in my top layer of the dermis.
@@AliceintheRabbitHole My device is from Chinese brand Anlan Face Care Multi functional facial machine. Cost is lesser than Medicube around US$50... 😊
Sulwhasoo first care serum did not have ginseng before, they put it in, actually it has been my nº1 serum since 2013. Its been 10 years+ and i still love it the same.
I absolutely love your channel Alice, really wish I discovered you years ago. You deserve way more followers, I cannot wait for you to hit 1 million subscribers one day and hopefully very soon. Will you please review Kaine, Indie Lee and Mooklook. Thanks! ♥️♥️
You sold me on Medicube and the products I got honestly have done so much for my skin in a short period of time. I ended up getting the Air Shot that I follow with their Zero Pore One Day Serum and the EMS I use with their Collagen Booster Gel- thanks for the code. 😊Their Zero Pore Cooling Masks are also AMAZING. I was curious about the Ussera, but.. I have a high frequency wand set already, which this device says it does along with ultrasound. I can’t find anywhere on the website description that it does radio frequency? RF to my knowledge is for tightening the skin and lipolysis using heat, but high frequency uses either argon or neon gas inside glass electrodes for the collagen stimulating/anti-bacterial effects. Am I missing something? I’m a little confused.
Another great video...I'm going to watch your review on Isntree next....Darn it!!....I ordered the Youngan Jin Cream from Stylevana about 3 weeks ago. Everything I ordered said In Stock...but it still hasn't been sent. My skin this winter has been so dry. Do you find the Stratia Lipid Gold and their Peptide product, I think it's called Interface, a good combination for dry skin?
Comparing skincare from canada and the philippines, filippine skincare (which mostly composes of kbeauty) is significantly cheaper due to the closer proximity to korea, though the general wage is comparatively lower than western consumers. In canada, recently k beauty became more and more accessible, atleast in on the larger populated coastlines like British columbia on the west and Ontario in the east. aditionally, though the prices are higher in british columbia (where i reside) brands like The Ordinary are still relatively reasonable. The ordinary's glycolic acid toner being around 16 CAD (or like 11$ usd) Though i'd assume in the interior provinces and the northern territories still have a harder time accesing affordable products
I love Isntree, BoJ and Mary and May as well, stratia isn't in the UK but I do hope they come here eventually, as I heard good things. My other fave Korean brands are Torriden, Cellimax, VT Cosmetics, I'm From, Make Prem, SKIN1004, Kaine and Aestura. From J-Beauty which I am more familiar with, Kose, Nameraka Sana, Shiseido, Minon, Curel and Hada Labo. I don't really Western brands, but I love Glow Recipe and Farmacy, but they are soooo expensive... Paula's choice is also really good but they are also super pricey
Thank you for sharing! Yeah, same feels for me with farmacy. We can find good deals on them sometimes over here, but they are pricey! I’m really hoping to try more J-Beauty this year
Me watching another YT video when I see a new Alice video drop: 🏃♀💨😅 Watching this, I realized we don't use MANY of the same products or brands, but I love your content because it feels like hanging out with a friend who is just as enthusiastic and excited about skincare as me. Plus someone who is also dry, acne-prone (oh the struggle). Working in tech, not many women around me are as interested in skincare and makeup as me, so I feel like your content is like an outlet for that passion, excitement, and sometimes cynicism. Anyways, hope you're having a lovely Friday, Alice! I *love* your outfit here. My first thought watching this was, "I love her top." lol.
I know the feeling. I crave people around me who enjoy the fun in skincare (and makeup as well, it’s utilitarian to so many but art✨ to me lol). Alas, online community does allow us to share, and I’m grateful for it! ☺️ Thank you so much, hope your Friday is going well too!
Also I'm now thinking: What are my top brands? For years it was Paula's Choice for me. But now, everything tends to shift every few years for me, plus what works for me from a brand changes by product. What I *can* think of though is which products I've gone through 4, 5, 6... or more bottles of. - is Clinical Cleanser - Clinique Take the Day Off Balm MU Remover (I've literally used this product for 15+ years and go through 2-3 tubs a year) - DRMTLGY Needleless (Only peptide serum that doesn't break me out) - Bioderma Micellar Water with the pink cap (also used 15+ years, love this!) - Kiss Me Mascara remover (I have this on subscribe and save from Amazon now LOL) - Differin .1 or Altreno .05 - Vaseline since my skin is so picky - Basic AF SkinSmart Hypochlorous Acid Spray And new additions I love so much right now: - Tatcha Dewy Cream (UGH THIS IS SO EXPENSIVE BUT WORKS SO WELL FOR ME UGHHHH I bought it on sale) - Dr Idriss Flash Mask (1-2x a week)
I do think it would be fun sometime for you to do a video of what you think your skincare routine would be if you were using all those high end products. (In this case, you would probably have to pretend you didn't know the prices because I imagine that, like me, even if you had a trillion dollars you would still buy store brand and shop the deals because wasting money is silly no matter how much of it you have.) A high end guide from you would be fun to see, to discuss what makes some high end products a better experience or give better results, and to see what in each category might be worth the splurge if you're going to make it.
Haha YUP, I’ve absolutely thought about how my opinions would change if I did have more money, and concluded that they probably wouldn’t. Especially since I could try to do the whole “let me justify this skincare purchase because I can deduct it!!” - no way lol. Deductions are…so minuscule!?
Alice, I don't have a favorite K-beauty brand, so I choose products from different brands that work for me based on my goals, but unfortunately I haven't bought anything very exciting, because my skin is so reactive, I think it's because I Menopause is coming, so I'm going to go to the dermatologist to get back to "normal", at least I hope so. And here in Chile we are in summer with temperatures between 30 to 36 degrees Celsius and I am only going out when the sun has gone down, basically living in a cave. I hope you have a nice week Alice 😘
I just received my Yesstyle order! I purchased the BOJ sunscreen based off your recommendation (I used your code of course😊) I also purchased the haruharu sunscreen. I’m excited to use my sunscreen tomorrow 😂
My own favorite brands? Ok just judging by number of products I use from said brands and how much I love those products... Coincidentally enough, Stratia has to take my top spot as well! Like, easily. I use 5 products by Stratia on a regular, daily basis. No other brand comes close! Velvet cleanser, Lipid Gold, LG eye cream, Interface, Fortify and also Rewind (not every day with Rewind, but I have it and use it when I remember. I'm trying to remember to use it daily for several weeks so I can track if it makes a difference). Ok so that's 6 lol Second and third, judging just by how many items I buy and use consistently are #2- Timeless (serums) and #3- Drunk Elephant (Protini and Lala Retro when they're on deep sale lol) Including Body care: Beekman 1802, Lush, The Seaweed Bath Co., and Aromatherapy Associates are probably my favorites Other than that there seem to be just one or two products at most from certain brands and it rotates
Great video, I like the quick recaps of all the favorites. Nothing worse is when a video goes too long when it's supposed to be a recap of products already reviewed! I think it would be fun if you did a video of overhyped ingredients/ ingredient trends you are tired of. Personally I'm tired of niacinamide and hyaluronic acid. They're great ingredients but do they have to be in every single product?
I love your favourites of favourites list. A few of yours are also on my list. I have a products that are on my must try list. I also have a few brands that have favourites that I use on my face and on my body. I also have a few seasonal favourites. I love SVR cream and baume moisturizer for both my face and body for instance. I use the baume on both my face and body in the drier months and the cream on both my face and body during the rest of the year. I have used a few things from Clarins for decades. I have a favourite body product and a favourite face product from the line. My favourite body product is the Anti-Eau body oil. It moisturizes but also alleviates the “heaviness” in the legs and breasts. My favourite face product is the Beautiflash balm for eyes. It moisturizes and depuffs and can be used morning and evening over and under makeup. I am also searching for an affordable retinol/retinoid for both my face and body. I am looking forward to your favourites of favourites video on body products.
Thank you for sharing! I used that beauty flash balm ages ago and I do still remember how much I liked it - great product. We don’t see clarins talked about much on social media!
I'm also interested in hearing your results on this. I've only recently started thinking about a body retinol and don't really know where to start 😵💫@@AliceintheRabbitHole
Hey Alice, I wonder if Alcohol is the second ingredient in Sulwhasoo, dosenst it show that the amount of it in it is very high? I can justify using it a little bit for the preservation purposes, but when charging so much they put it as a main ingredient, i just cannot understand it, plus I am afraid that using it daily, it does disturtb the skin barrier. What do you think?
Mmhmm, when I got that in and looked at the ingredients I thought it looked simply awful! And yet, here I am a few months later calling it my favorite from the brand. I truly don’t know; perhaps it’s a good example of the ingredients really only telling a portion of the story? That said, if you don’t feel comfortable with the ingredients, it’s always okay to skip a product. There are MANY options out there! ☺️
@@AliceintheRabbitHole So I suppose it doesnt dry your skin?:))) Do you think Donginbi essence also helps the upcoming serums to absorb better? I want somethign that woild help with absorbing Ordinary peptide serums (cant be acidic):)
@@ainakunigelyte correct yep. My best guess is that while alcohol is astringent on its own, it can be formulated INTO a product that is not astringent in its summation. But yes that’s another option indeed!
It’s very much like a thicker lipid gold. Tbh I didn’t love it as an eye cream (it’s…it’s like it’s yellow² lol). But I do like it as a more intense lipid gold! Will be in my next speed reviews (probably early next month ☺️)
@@AliceintheRabbitHolethank you for being honest. I think I'll pass then. When it comes to eye creams, I'd rather use a product I can use am and pm. I don't wanna look yellow lol
Here in Brazil we have 20 usd maybelline mascara... its just off. The same one costs 9~10 USD in us.. So i rather buy Etude house Curl Fix for 8 USD with tax for 10 usd +-. Its better and less expensive.
I’ve heard about it yep! Haven’t tried it though as it seems it would be a bit redundant for my routine (already use all of the ingredients it contains)
Why are people afraid of essential oil? There are so many traditional anti-aging essential oils. I'm still confused why someone who isnt allergic to a plant would avoid it this way?
You don't necessarily touch a plant everyday, and the skin on your face is thinner and more sensitive than your hands. Not everyone needs to worry about essential oils, but if you have sensitive skin or issues like eczema, rosacea, etc then it might be better to stay away just to be on the safe side. I am ok with a little bit of fragrance or essential oils, but I would like them to be at the end of the ingredients list.
Essential oils are HIGHLY concentrated and very potent. It's not the same as a plant extract for example. In my opinion caution is needed when using them on the skin, even if diluted. I still have a few products with eo's but I limit them to the best of my ability
It’s honestly the simplest budget (or I wouldn’t stick to it lol!) Income vs Food, Housing, Necessities, and Entertainment - that’s it, 4 categories of spending. If I spend over my income, I note it for the following month and cut spending down to compensate. ☺️

Anytime I find the Kopari lipglosses at TJmaxx I clean them out. I have noticed lately their kbeauty options have been priced craft high😢 at the store near me, it's so disappointing... It's only been recently 😞
@@kmw97 I pulled out my phone to check prices, there was a BOJ serum that was more than amazon & iherb!
@@katiek5082 RIGHT!!?? It's crazy!! They have definitely caught on to the kbeauty craze and taken advantage of that.
Those are both such hits! And if you catch them at the right time, shockingly affordable too 😍

I’ve been going on a spending spree buying skincare from bloomingkoco lol another great one I’ve been loving is the Jumiso peptide snail essence 🤩
I just love your content! You’re so informative and apparently I’ve been missing that. Keep doing what you’re doing. You’re my absolute fav🥰
I hope they do!
Thanks for sharing Alice! You make me want to try to BOJ sunscreen. I didn’t like the original one because it left a cast.
I would absolutely love to hear your thoughts on it!

I feel like Mary & May would be higher if I tried a few more products from them (I still have that blackberry complex cream unopened).
Can I ask what's your skintype is?

Yes.
Skin type: oily-to-combination skin = oily T-zone but dry cheeks and around the mouth.
Skin concern: dehydration, hyperpigmentation, and acne-prone.
@@awest3749 thank you so much! We have similar concerns. I still dunno wheter In dry or oily lmao
I really want to try bloom effects! They tell me they are working on coming to the UK so I'm crossing my fingers
Beauty of Joseon my fave brand especially their ginseng toner love it
"I don't know if you can tell, but I'm a person who wears makeup" - really, lol? I totally agree that it makes a huge difference in what sunstick works best. Great video and as always I love to hear your thoughts, thanks, Alice! 🥰
My eyelids are naturally gray-aw I was going to make a joke but HONESTLY, when I’m tired enough…🤣😂
@@AliceintheRabbitHole 😂
I very much feel you on liking a certain corner of a brand lol!! What’s the Dr. Jart cleanser you like? 👀
I super hope they get a 4 in 1 device soon, that sounds so exciting and I found myself wishing they had one for a while now lol
Mmhmm they really need to. By the time they had 4 devices, people were already overwhelmed - too many options!
🤣😂 I see we are very much on the same page!
Hit my favorites mostly. I had another fave for Isntree . Green Tea , remember wild Yam and the Onion Toner isn’t that new lol . Great fun ! thank you for sharing.
For christmas I invested in the medicube air shot and use it every other day. I really like it
Love the video Alice! Here are some brand suggestions to try out: Wellage, Abib (Jericho rose line) and Sana (soy line)🫶🏼
I was torn between reordering it and trying Sooryehan the black serum (has exosome technology)
Can you share what specific changes you saw with the ussera over the years ? I am yet to see an older person (not you 😉) demonstrate changes while using it.
omg please do a brand review of p.calm
Yuuup, I am SO curious about it!
Haha yup, you feel me! It’s a great intro to a lot of the ingredients we hear about in K-Beauty.
Yeah I’ve seen the 6 in 1 Medicube device. Dunno when it’s gonna be released in the States, but my guess is it’ll be released around March in Japan.
I’m 12 but extremely mature, so I love your recommendations. 😂❤
Fantastic 🤣
Yes prices are so different .
Sometimes irritatingly higher in Japan BUT sometimes much cheaper for K beauty ( and obviously J beauty )
Medicube for the example is so much cheaper here ( yay )
Btw ❤ your top .
Thanks 😊
Really love your outfit. Looks so nice!
I always look forward to your videos l. Theyre so informative.
Thank you so much! ☺️
I always felt they seem to be a similar concept but…this makes so much sense 🤯
Thanks for sharing, I own both, I’ll try them together!
I am curious if you have a video on medicube products. So curious about all in 1 product coming out!
Missha Chogongjin products are for mature dry skin together with the Sulwhasoo first care serum and the overnight treatment mask. Yes, I agree with you that just using the certain skin products from them makes my skin texture so much nicer. The pores are almost gone and there is hydration and moisture in my top layer of the dermis.
Thank you for sharing! What device do you use?
Thanks! ♥️♥️
I decided to go with Panasonic Vitalift RF instead of Medicube. I trust the brand more.
I for sure thought your number 1 was going to be Isntree 😮 great video Alice 🎉 love you x
Isntree can still have the title “favorite K-Beauty brand” 😁
What do you think of the History of Whoo Hwanyu line for mature skin?
The ordinary's glycolic acid toner being around 16 CAD (or like 11$ usd)
Though i'd assume in the interior provinces and the northern territories still have a harder time accesing affordable products
I’m really hoping to try more J-Beauty this year
Me watching another YT video when I see a new Alice video drop: 🏃♀💨😅
Watching this, I realized we don't use MANY of the same products or brands, but I love your content because it feels like hanging out with a friend who is just as enthusiastic and excited about skincare as me.
Thank you so much, hope your Friday is going well too!
Also I'm now thinking: What are my top brands? For years it was Paula's Choice for me. But now, everything tends to shift every few years for me, plus what works for me from a brand changes by product. What I *can* think of though is which products I've gone through 4, 5, 6... or more bottles of.
- is Clinical Cleanser
- Clinique Take the Day Off Balm MU Remover (I've literally used this product for 15+ years and go through 2-3 tubs a year)
- DRMTLGY Needleless (Only peptide serum that doesn't break me out)
- Bioderma Micellar Water with the pink cap (also used 15+ years, love this!)
- Kiss Me Mascara remover (I have this on subscribe and save from Amazon now LOL)
- Differin .1 or Altreno .05
- Vaseline since my skin is so picky
- Basic AF SkinSmart Hypochlorous Acid Spray
And new additions I love so much right now:
- Tatcha Dewy Cream (UGH THIS IS SO EXPENSIVE BUT WORKS SO WELL FOR ME UGHHHH I bought it on sale)
- Dr Idriss Flash Mask (1-2x a week)
So excited for this video thank you alice!!
Hope you like it! 😁
You know, as I was reading this, I felt jealous of the word “summer” until I saw those temperatures 🥵 I see why you’re staying in a “cave” lol!!
I just received my Yesstyle order! I purchased the BOJ sunscreen based off your recommendation (I used your code of course😊) I also purchased the haruharu sunscreen. I’m excited to use my sunscreen tomorrow 😂
Oh yay!! I hope you enjoy it 😄
I was the one who reminded you about the Kopari lip gloss 💋❤
Thank you SO much. It’s one of those things I experienced, but completely forgot with time haha
Ok so that's 6 lol
Second and third, judging just by how many items I buy and use consistently are #2- Timeless (serums) and #3- Drunk Elephant (Protini and Lala Retro when they're on deep sale lol)
Including Body care: Beekman 1802, Lush, The Seaweed Bath Co., and Aromatherapy Associates are probably my favorites
Other than that there seem to be just one or two products at most from certain brands and it rotates
Great video. I am loving Stratia Medik8
Haru haru black rice
And SK II
Great video, I like the quick recaps of all the favorites. Nothing worse is when a video goes too long when it's supposed to be a recap of products already reviewed! I think it would be fun if you did a video of overhyped ingredients/ ingredient trends you are tired of. Personally I'm tired of niacinamide and hyaluronic acid. They're great ingredients but do they have to be in every single product?
Ooh I like this idea, Ty!
please try M&M Calendula Peptide Ageless Sleeping Mask It blew me away!

I know, there’s a few brands that I felt odd leaving out of the top 8
But gotta have a top 8, that’s the rules 🤣
I hope I can access to it in south east Asia, it cost over 20$ just to get here
Hey Alice, I wonder if Alcohol is the second ingredient in Sulwhasoo, dosenst it show that the amount of it in it is very high?

Whats everyone's thoughts on Stratia Lipid Gold Eye Cream??? Is it worth giving it a try ??
It’s very much like a thicker lipid gold. Tbh I didn’t love it as an eye cream (it’s…it’s like it’s yellow² lol). But I do like it as a more intense lipid gold! Will be in my next speed reviews (probably early next month ☺️)
I'm disappointed. I use allies of skin peptides eye. And was gifted dermalects dark circles eye cream and their intense wrinkle face cream.
@@AliceintheRabbitHolethank you for being honest. I think I'll pass then. When it comes to eye creams, I'd rather use a product I can use am and pm. I don't wanna look yellow lol

Hello! Have you heard anything about or tried the Olay Super Serum?
I’ve heard about it yep! Haven’t tried it though as it seems it would be a bit redundant for my routine (already use all of the ingredients it contains)
@@AliceintheRabbitHole I get you seems pretty multi tasking wonder if it would be a good replacement/sub for multiple when short on time or traveling
How's the Kopari lip balm compare with torriden lip essence?
It’s probably the closest lip balm I can think of actually! No scent/taste to torriden and maybe a smidge lighter feeling on
Eucerin Antipigment night cream/serum (Thiamidol) PLEASSSSEEEEEEEE 🥲
It has given excellent results to my mother, she has much fewer sun marks, she has been using it for about a year so you have a reference 😘
Am I the only one interested in seeing a budgeting related video? Hahah
It’s honestly the simplest budget (or I wouldn’t stick to it lol!) Income vs Food, Housing, Necessities, and Entertainment - that’s it, 4 categories of spending. If I spend over my income, I note it for the following month and cut spending down to compensate. ☺️
🐰
I don’t know what it’s like to be able to try every product from a brand. That must be fun.
I can’t say I’ve done it with all the brands, but I’ve tried “enough” to feel confident reviewing them haha
