There was alot of switching around for this scene actually. Shooting this must have been a logistical nightmare. To make Key look small the shot him farther away so he isn't actually sitting at the table for the wide shots, hidden by the tablecloth. in the shot behind peele, key IS sitting at the table but peele isn't, he is standing really close to the camera so that key looks small in comparison. They used a real kid for the behind key angle probably because it wasn't possible to maintain the illusion had it actually been key, and maybe they felt they needed a third angle to make it look more believable.
