Thank you, your video is the best there is to help navigate through this! It IS very helpful for me and now I feel so much more at ease to use my new machine.
Hi Susan! Don't be afraid - your machine wants to be your best friend! LOL I'm making more videos, so feel free to watch & do, right along with each one. We'll have you up & running in no time! :)
I have PE 770 with a basic hoop that came with it. I want to use built-in pattern #20….teddy bear. How do i change the pattern size of the teddy to cover the entire hoop?
I'm currently saving up to buy an embroidery machine. I know I want the 5x7 hoop. It seems like this Brother machine is the best value for the cost. Thank you for this video. It's very informative and helped me to choose this particular model. Also, have you ever purchased an embroidery pattern from Etsy? I see a few I really like and was wondering if they work well with this machine?
The PE770 is a great value for the money! Any machine will require a learning curve, but it is a very popular machine. I would suggest that you join a few FB groups specifically for the Brother PE770. You will learn alot, and can also get assistance from the many group members. There are many wonderful embroidery digitizers out there, including designs on Etsy. However, I would do a bit of research to make sure the Etsy shop is an actual digitizer. I would also recommend that you read the manual, learn your machine & try out the built in designs, before purchasing new ones. This will help you learn about stabilizers & fabrics. Digitizers offer freebies too, so you'll be able to test a digitizer's skills, prior to purchasing designs! Have fun!
Hi Maureen! There are second hand machines for sale in some FB groups. However, If you are new to embroidery, I would recommend saving for a new one. Dealers sometimes have trade in's as well. And they will assist you in learning to use them. I bought one of mine from Amazon. If you have Prime, you get free shipping!
I would suggest downloading the free Embrilliance program. Then you can purchase BX fonts, to use for your embroidered labels. Additionally, you can get a few pretty embroidered frames, to outline your labels. Monogram frames also work well.
Hi anyone of you ladies with the Brother PE-770. My question is, there's any way I could adjust the stitches on the letters to make the zigzag wider. Thank you all and hoping somebody can answer my question. REPLY
Hi Mariana! Yes, there is a way to make zig zag stitches wider (on purchased fonts), but it requires digitizing software. The fonts included in the PE770, are ok, but not really that special, and cannot be adjusted. Also, unless you have the original file (not the embrodery file, but the EOF digitizing file), it is difficult to adjust someone else's work. Embird is the digitizing software I use. I also use Embrilliance, for purchased fonts in the BX format. There is also Sew What Pro, Wilcom, and many others. Since fonts are inexpensive, and often on sale, I would recommend purchasing a few fonts in PES and BX format, and then downloading the FREE embrilliance software. It's awesome! There are also FB groups that can help you with the free embrilliance software. I will post links below:

How can I make a paragraph without deleting each line
Can you change the size of the picture designs?
The built in designs cannot be changed. But if you buy digitizing software, you may be able to make them larger.
How do I make labels for my quilt
