I bought this machine second hand over a year ago and it's just been sitting collecting dust because I've been too intimidated to use it. This video has really helped me out and I feel like I can finally give it a go! Thank you for uploading this video!
Thanks!. Recovering from back surgery I needed to learn some new hobby and I found a PE770 on Craigslist with some software added, for only $400. I embroidered some aprons for my wife's volunteers at her church and now she has no shortage of volunteers, they just want to wear one of the aprons! Two have already disappeared but the aprons are $12 for a three pack at Sam's Club and the embroidery thread goes a long ways so I'll just make more. Now my co-workers want some for their fundraisers. Thanks for the videos. I don't care too much for the hoop attach either, but I find if I hold the spring latch back it drops in pretty well.
This was a perfect video. You've took you're time and explained everything so well. I was able to follow without and problems. I've just opened my machine. I'm about to start embrodering now. I'll let you know how it turns out. Thank you so much!
Nice video for a novice who never did embroidery with a machine. Just got mine....not even out of the box yet. Glad your video is going to help me get started. Thanks.
I'm a reseller(scavenger...if you want to be a dick about it.) I found this machine curbside by the dumpster at a Goodwill. Yeah. They threw it out. (They throw it all kinds of stuff so does every other place$$). Luckily I was there to save it. When doing research on pricing to sell, I was introduced to this weird, interesting and semi secretive world of custom embroidery. I'm intrigued and I've decided to invest in the machine instead of sell it so I'm learning everything I can. Every other video I've seen makes this bad boy seem intimidating and downright scary. It's almost like they want you to give up before you start.😏 this one has me feeling a lot better like, "hey guys it's not so bad!" Im sure the rabbit hole goes much further as far as the secrets of the machine, but this video makes it seem like an easygoing, afternoon stroll to the start of that massive tunnel. Accompanied by calm, encouraging words and finally an ever-so-gentle shove over the edge of oblivion... its a lot like my dad teaching me how to swim...off the high dive. Minus the catchy soundtrack. Well. I've been treading water for thirty-eight years since and honestly this stitch devouring behemoth has nothing on me. Thanks😎
I just have to tell you... and now I'm seeing this guy's comment below (ignore it): I started watching this video because I was at my WITS END with this machine (PE 770). It's a month old and I'm very new to embroidery. My thread kept getting caught and breaking. So I wanted to watch this video for help. Because you showed that clip of you making a mistake and removing the bobbin case, I said, "WHAT?! You can remove that??" And so I did. And guess what I found in there? A mound of bobbin thread. PROBLEM SOLVED. I was ready to throw this machine into the street. I had no idea you could look in there. I KNEW something was caught and I thought I was looking everywhere possible. I'm on a Facebook group and I got a bunch of suggestions. But NONE of them said to look in there. It's not screwed on, so of course it's meant for the user to open. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
thank you for this video i have the brother se400 and i am ready for a upgrade. so the pe770 is the one for me. this video helped me decide. i go to this channel to make my final decisions on embroidery and digitizing. thank you for the video.
I like you videos-very clear and easy to follow! Looking forward to seeing lettering on the PE770, applique and digitizing files for creating custom embroidery designs...hint, hint. I hope you publish more of these great tutorials!!
Love video, now what to know why going through dense embroidery the needle pulls bobbin plate and embroidery hoop up Thank you, I have the innovi's type Regards Patricia
Hoping you might be able to give me some information. I have the PE770, when I turn it on the brightness screen is showing. When I go to touch screen it's like it's frozen. I have tried shutting it off for awhile then back on and still showing brightness screen. This is the first time that I have turned this machine on since December of 2019. It hasn't moved or been touched since then. It was working perfectly.
I got my machine, but when I pressed display ok, the carriage moved toward machine, stopped started making a grinding noise. Screen said a malfunction has occurred, turn off and turn on again. I've done that several times, still grinding. Do you have any idea what's going on? It was shipped, wondering if something happened then.
Should I purchase a SE400 or Runway sewing and embroidery or purchase this PE770 embroidery only and keep sewing on my old Euro Pro. I want a 5 by 7 hoop. This will be my first Brothers but I have been researching and ready to purchase. These videos help a lot.
I just bought the PE770 myself. I wanted the SE400 or 425 because they double as a sewing machine. But after using a 425 in a store and using the 770. I had to get the 770. I was going to give my other brother sewing machine away to my sister if I got the 425, but the 770 to me seemed to do a little better job. Also the bigger embroider area was a big plus. The 425 in the store was a good machine don't get me wrong. But seeing both of them side by side I had to buy the 770.
hi, thanks for making this video.. I have a problem threading the needle on step 7.. and then there's a message saying thr Bobbin thread is running out. any suggestions?
Would like to update my soft ware, Have my editor installed and would like to update that also, Please advise me Seem to get more from your site than brother outlets here in south Africa Regards patricia
Very nice video. Well done! I do have 2 questions for you. 1. What program did you use to create the design? I have software on my MacBook Pro very similar to photoshop which allows me to create logos/designs/words and save them in .png, .jpeg, etc. 2. Do the images have to be 'digitized'? In the past, I've sent logos to local embroidery companies who would then send the image off overseas for digitizing. Does this machine need that? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
I was gifted a Brother PE770 embroidery machine and have never done any embroidery before. Di you have a very beginner tutorial fon the basics....I have no idea what I am doing.
I have found that if you keep it as level as possible and try not to force it it will kind of drop into place. I think the SE400 is easier though for sure. Thanks for commenting!
hi.. thank you for the video i need to confirm that this machine "Brother PE770"is both sewing and embroidery machine.. every time i do my search about it i find different things and most of the comments i find is that it is an Embroidery machine only. please confirm this info thank you

Does it automatically stop when it's done with one color, then you change the thread color?
Should I wait for the PE800 or get this one?

New owner here. Can you tell me what type/brand of adhesive spray you use to secure the stabilizer?
Hello I am a new subscriber. I was gifted my Brother PE770 embroidery machine. I was wondering what to do when the thread nests in the bobbin area?

I can see you don’t reply to comments, but let me try and ask … which is better Pe770 compared to NV180

I was gifted a Brother PE770 embroidery machine and have never done any embroidery before. Di you have a very beginner tutorial fon the basics....I have no idea what I am doing.
It's a great little machine. Stitch letters and designs built in machine for practice
The hoop attachment does not attach like should. I noticed that in mine also.
I have found that if you keep it as level as possible and try not to force it it will kind of drop into place. I think the SE400 is easier though for sure. Thanks for commenting!

I just understood that it is an embroidery machine.
Noora, It is an embroidery machine only....
But can you change the foot so it can do stitches? I don't see why you can't. Please confirm.
Noora Bucheeri every where ive researched including from brother themselves states its not a sewing machine just embroidery
Not sure if it matters to you anymore, but apparently there's an adapter you can buy that will make it a sewing machine as well.
👍
Absolutely no need to take away the bobbin case cover. Factory inspected.
Price?
$570.00

hi, thanks for making this video.. I have a problem threading the needle on step 7.. and then there's a message saying thr Bobbin thread is running out. any suggestions?
I would check to see if you added the bobbin😊
How do you get your cone thread to work on this machine? I see you thread yours lyinghorizontal and not on a spool stand. I need some help with this please.
You have to put the cone in a coffee cup behind the machine and thread it the same way.
