yeah i was shocked too. i never really played xenosaga but i know about it. last time i saw Kos_mos was in Project X Zone 1 and 2. looking back i wonder if project x zone 2 was foreshadowing this. i mean in that game she was partnered with Fiora.
The side quest is really cute too. She cant handle her power at the start and shocks every one until you talk to a few npcs and power up some maschines. The game has really much content what is incredible when you get into its development history it was made by the side team only with 40 people because Monolith had to help Nintendo with Breath of the wild.

lucio banaga I disagree. I actually liked him a lot. He may have had a small role but he had a big personality. He cared for other people and taught them how to protect themselves and others and in the end it kinda felt like losing a father figure. For me anyways. I liked him a lot.

He was a fully realized character game play wise and was a dps option other than red with a new element too. He had an affinity chart and a mercenary band. The player would have been super excited too have this guy join them and would be anticipated possible interactions and wondering when he'll decide too summon blades other than roc and what combos could come out off that. Then it's all snatched away. Roc, the new dps, A wind element story blade, the merc group, those badass scythes, and his potential skills on the affinity tree. granted we eventually get most of those things but from a game play perspective it still hits hard in the moment

Vale was actually my first Rare Blade in my first playthrough, followed shortly thereafter by Ursula & Electra (seriously, just about every time I start a new game on a new profile just to see what the first batch of Rare Blades on that profile will be, 99% of the time, Electra is one of the first 3 Rare Blades that save gets, I swear Electra loves me for some reason).

When I saw “Kos-MOS” name title I starting to wonder where I’ve heard that name until she appear in scene
Dahlia - Didn't realize the actor was doing a Southern North American character until the "I do declare"
Herald - Actually fits the character pretty well
Kos-mos - Last line was a bit iffy, but I can ignore it
Newt - Not bad voicing at all, the "every part of me sings" sounded just as out of place as the writers made it
Kasandra - Could've used a bit more of an innocent voice-type
Perceval - Should've a bit more eccentric in the line delivery, but overall pretty safe voicing decision
Zenobia - Wow, that forced laugh...
Wulfric - I like this voice a lot actually
Sheba - Not stuck up enough
Praxis - That fucking "Ta-da!" Needed a more bubbly touch with the given lines
Theory - Was there any voice direction going on for this character? It doesn't sound like the voice actor knew what to do with the lines.
Adenine - That's not how you pronounce "synapses". I would say the character should sound more pretentious, but that's hard to do when you don't pronounce lines correctly.
Aegaeon - Speak into the mic, my dude, I thought your name was "Edgion" for a bit.
Agate - Not bad, not great
Azami - One of the better ones, that laugh was legitimately creepy
Boreas - Just once I wish English voice actors and directors would take a risk and do something completely different than what the Japanese do with their characters
Dagas - So close to being my favorite! Just needed to be more condescending.
Electra - I hate the writing and the consequent voicing sooooo much on this one.
Finch - I take back everything I said about Boreas' voicing.... (Did they even LOOK at the character's expression?!)
Floren - Not bad, but I would've loved it if they made him incredibly flamboyant sounding
Godfrey - "WAAAAAAOOOOOOOW" A great performance by Jim from accounting (seriously, did they just use whoever was in the office that day?)
Gorg - Did they do a dramatic pause?! Oh my god, finally someone who seems to know the basics of acting!
Kora - Probably my favorite performance out of these blades
Nim - Generic, the "uwawawah" sounded scripted, next to no creativity at all in the voicing
Roc - Would probably get old very quickly, but I at least enjoyed that it wasn't as generic as the rest (I'm also impressed Finch didn't have a similar voice)
Ursula - Read the script less and read the character description more (also, Beary? The creativity was just gushing from the localization team, wasn't it?)
Vale - Hey, this one was actually pretty good! Might be my favorite from the girls.
Vess - See Agate
Perun - "I am Perun" Instant nope, that is not the character at all.
Overall, there were either some bad casting choices made or some very bad voice direction going on here. If you want to be a voice actor and you're halfway decent at acting, people, go for it, since it seems there's a dire need for new VAs in the industry...

To just mention something, they did do a risk. Nia... Hello!? She sounds more mature then her Japanese voice. Also lets not forget that each country has their own accents. So the English VA's does do different things.

yeah i was shocked too. i never really played xenosaga but i know about it. last time i saw Kos_mos was in Project X Zone 1 and 2. looking back i wonder if project x zone 2 was foreshadowing this. i mean in that game she was partnered with Fiora.

The side quest is really cute too.
She cant handle her power at the start and shocks every one until you talk to a few npcs and power up some maschines.
The game has really much content what is incredible when you get into its development history it was made by the side team only with 40 people because Monolith had to help Nintendo with Breath of the wild.

lucio banaga I disagree. I actually liked him a lot. He may have had a small role but he had a big personality. He cared for other people and taught them how to protect themselves and others and in the end it kinda felt like losing a father figure. For me anyways. I liked him a lot.
lucio banaga I have to agree with monius but instead of using his personality I'll go into a different side of why Vandhams death hit hard. He was a fully realized character game play wise and was a dps option other than red with a new element too. He had an affinity chart and a mercenary band. The player would have been super excited too have this guy join them and would be anticipated possible interactions and wondering when he'll decide too summon blades other than roc and what combos could come out off that.
Then it's all snatched away. Roc, the new dps, A wind element story blade, the merc group, those badass scythes, and his potential skills on the affinity tree. granted we eventually get most of those things but from a game play perspective it still hits hard in the moment
Joey R most definitely. Good points. I really did find myself wondering which blades I'd give him and making so many plans for the future. That was a big part of it too.

Vale was actually my first Rare Blade in my first playthrough, followed shortly thereafter by Ursula & Electra (seriously, just about every time I start a new game on a new profile just to see what the first batch of Rare Blades on that profile will be, 99% of the time, Electra is one of the first 3 Rare Blades that save gets, I swear Electra loves me for some reason).
Electra was my first rare blade too.
