I truly hate what my YT front page has become. I don't want to page down through multiple pages of cat videos and random shorts from people I don't know to get to the stuff I actually watch. TTL Sunday's are the best Sunday's. Keep makin the good stuff, Eric!

This year however I decided to step away from that type of content, left Instagram for good, and decided to focus more on the things I actually like, and your videos are definitely one of those things. Another beautifully shot video, Eric you just keep doing what you do, best which is inspire us all to keep living That Triathlon Life, even at my now advancing years, I just want to keep going and going for as long as I can. You are both exceptional athletes and creators. I watch all your coverage Instagram you tube. and these videos make my Sundays complete done my training and had a catch up with all things That Triathlon Life. Paula in an Orca costume, with an Orca swim bag, does that mean she choose the Orca Apex Flow? Fab wet suit, also as an aside, My own TTL tri suit has landed in the UK!!!! And is currently at the Fed Ex depo in the south of the country bound for my home by Wednesday SOOO EXCITED!!! I also spotted a possible new carbon race shoe? Don't miss much when its anything On! Much Love From the UK X David.
Eric keep doing your thing. Just for info, I’m an older age grouper and watch all your videos on RUclips. Just finished this one and as always on Sundays, it’s a great motivator and makes me smile as I head out the door for my long weekly run.

Yes there are just so many "views" available and so many new channels. I keep making videos for ne triathletes and tri product reviews but views are way down. I supplement them with 3 shorts a week. Love your videos and will keep watching. Thanks for what you do

One of the main things I get out of your videos personally is inspiration to carve out a happy way of doing what you need (hard work) - that there's not only one way to do it. Great to stay with what you want. Just a small note of what I see from other “long content”-creators; cut 2/3 parts from the longer movies, make them “vertical” (just cut of the sides) and post these as shorts. Not what you want, but those shorts might get more subscribers and those get your shorts also on there lists. So these pull both your subscribers and new people in.
Keep making this great content, it’s always a pleasure to watch.

Hi Eric, don’t change a thing! Your style of video means I absolutely won’t watch it on my phone.
The locations and panoramas you use mean I always hunt for the biggest screen I can find. The scenery and action means I can escape from grey and gloomy English winters and enjoy “riding along” whilst you guys train. It’s like Rouvy and Fulgaz with personality!! I think nobody does it so well.

I am becoming more and more selective on what RUclips content I watch just for the reason you mentioned in the video, to watch what I want instead of what the algorithm wants. Love the video as always! Totally agree with the talk about youtube and insta shorts. I love making reels as my primary for of content mainly for myself but hate how they suck you in. I really wish they would make an option to turn off the youtube shorts tab all together. On a side note lol, the knocking in the background of the song was driving me crazy with my AirPods in, i kept thinking someone was at my door lmao!

Dear Eric,
My wife and I have watched about 98% of your YT videos since late 2020.
Consider totaling your podcast views and YT views together in your metrics.
When you launched your podcast you moved many of the race reports and race prep conversations over to the podcast. While YT may have some brief race recaps they are very short compared to what used to be on YT. And, those were some of my favorite nuggets of content. Understanding the race from the athlete’s perspective.
Whereas the dreamier videos, especially the one or two when you were injured and Paula went to Augusta were excellent, it doesn’t surprise me that the algorithms don’t show that to triathlete content viewers who aren’t ardent TTL viewers.
Above all, a great channel is one that you are passionate about. Make the choices that drive your interest in creating.

I totally understand the thirst for race recaps, and I still plan on doing them, at least for my races. It’s just been a struggle to keep them coming for Paula because they create race-week stress, but we’re working on how to minimize that :)

And totally agree, if I don't set the course of what I follow in terms of quality- the inevitable fragmentation is built into the method of delivery- shorts. Fragmenting my attention, my ability to think freely, to contemplate and think deeply, to appreciate beauty. Superficial scrolling is the enemy of living and of true community. TTL videos are the only ones I am committed to not watch for days, if I have to, only to make sure I dive myself completely into the content and enjoy every second of it. Every video you guys create is more than some shots - it's and experience.
