Small detail. Automatic transmissions use "transmission fluid" (ATF) hydrologic fluid/oil and manual gearboxes use "gear oil". And, transaxle is transmission & axle in one sharing same oil 👍

BTW. To line up the transmission with the engine I got some 150 mm long bolts of the correct size and cut off the heads. That made some threaded rods similar to what you may use to line up some wheels that use bolts. Putting these through the transmission after installation in the engine and you just push in the transmission. Easy Peesy.

I did the very same "replace plastic ribbed hose with rubber PCV line" trick when I replaced the AOS in my Boxster. Worked a treat

@@ManinaGarage well, the 996.2 3.6 engines are different to the 3.4’s. So if you fancy a slightly different challenge you could try that. If you have an offer of the ‘engine only’ you could rebuild it and see how much you make on selling it. You have gained the knowledge that usually only pros have, which is pretty incredible. If you have the time and inclination you should use that. Your videos are quite literally a step by step guide on the work, which is a one off in YT so far. To be fair, given the way you make your videos, you could choose any project next and people would watch it with interest. So maybe the question is, what else tickles your fancy? Maybe we should watch this space. Have a good one and thanks.
That throughout bearing sounded really good...NOT..., former owner used the clutch pedal for a footrest. The shifting of the transmission will be much improved from changing that doggy mount, as it really affects cable action shifting in these cars. The top port in the transmission is the fill port and the one you got open is the level inspection port.

@@ManinaGarage can you help me I have most of the parts and I listed here for you to see can you help me what I have miss The first one is stater and H6 engine oil and power steering pump and H6 EGR valve bracket and oil separation with line , Throttle body and heat exchanger ,upper intake manifold, up and down ,oil fitter pipe GENUINE 996, positive battery cable , Ac compressor,, ,oil fluid level indicator sending unit. , air cleaner fitter box , engine wiring. ,radiator coolant tank. , Camera covetable rear wiring harnesses. ,I just bought all of that so can you check what I will buy. My guy spent money rebuilding a 996 😭 not even a 997 a 996 you know not even a s or 4S a standard 996 😂 he got bumped
