    🖐🏻 NEW --> There is some new evidence suggesting there may be a dose-related risk of atrial fibrillation with omega-3 fatty acid intake. ⛔⛔⛔At a dose of 4.0 g/d, there was a highly statistically significant increase in risk (nearly a doubling).
    ⛔⛔With an intermediate dose of 1.8 g/d, the increase in risk did not achieve statistical significance
    ⛔ With a standard daily dose of 840 mg/d, there was no apparent increase in risk (although the data were consistent with as much as a 24% increase in risk).
    Patients who choose to take omega-3 fatty acids, especially in high doses, should be informed of the risk of atrial fibrillation and followed up for the possible development of this common and potentially hazardous arrhythmia.

      My current understanding is that atrial fibrillation is caused by a stretching of the left atrium. This is alleged to be caused by high blood pressure but it makes sense that certain oils might make the atrium more pliable and hence stretchier. Usually things that make the atrium softer can also make the blood vessels soften which reduces the stretching of the atrium but may not always soften the vessels as much as the atrium. This could be a situation that produces Afib when the right amount of omega-3s are introduced to the system as the atrium stretched more than the vessels causing the atrium to absorb the shock of the heart beat.

    Dear doctor, my kid is 17 and is having SLE disease. Her feet souls are most of the time in pain and she often faces difficulty in walking.     Dr Furlan, I've been watching your videos, and am so grateful for the information and advice you share. Like you, my Dad a pharmacist, would always encourage us to have a balanced diet to get our vitamins naturally. We'd take a B-Complex multivitamin once in a while.     You’ve more than likely saved my life. You get it. You would be shocked on how drs are not aware of chronic pain. It is a thing. It drives you crazy. I have a high tolerance to pain. I walked around for 16 days with bone broke and pushed my plates out of arm. I thought it was scar tissue. But my back is so bad it’s 24 hrs or if at any time I’m up I can’t walk without holding onto something. It’s awful

    im taking omega 3 fatty acids 1,200mg/day for 6 mos. now and my osteoarthritis are gone significantly after 2 months and continue taking it up to now, my doctor therapist advised me take this fish oil to remove pain & inflammatory annd its effective 90% and it has lots of benefits my sleep become normal, my memory loss had gone, strong immune system, & less depression.

    Hello Dr. Furlan, just found your videos today. They’re a wealth of information. Thank you for explaining about omega 3 and 6. I suffer from chronic pain in my knees. ( arthritis, pain and burning) .
    I will also do the exercises for knees and hips from your video,! Thank you so much for helping us people with these problems. ( I’m 73) I take warfarin, so thank you for explaining about that.

    I take the number one fish supplement it's 1,460 mg. It's third party tested and produce in a FDA factory GMP. And the oil supplements are from sardines and some other fish that have the less Mercury as possible. I've been eating 3 oz salmon almost every day. With an avocado mixed in it with two pieces of bread and about 10 pieces of butter lettuce. With a one glass 8 oz hemp milk

    Dr, Furlan, we moved from Florida, USA to retire here in the Philippines. I had severe osteoarthritis and was taking an injection of Prolia Denosumab 60 mg. every 6 months in Florida by my rheumatologist. We don;t live in a city where there are rheumatologists, so I have missed my Prolia injection for over a year now. It is very expensive here, too, because Medicare and Medicare Advantage companies are not recognized here in the Philippines. I take have been taking Glucosamine with Chrondroitin once a day, but I was just listening to your video and heard i should take them twice a day. I also take Fish Oil once a day. My rheumatologist in Florida also prescribed Tramadol 50 mg. 3 times a day for my Osteoporosis, Osteoarthritis and Spinal stenosis, but my doctor here in the the Philippines just wants me to take it only once as day. Can you give me some advice?

      Tramadol is a weak opiate and most doctors won’t prescribe it at all. If you need more to function you may be best off moving back to Florida as there is a worldwide effort to cut people off of their opioid prescriptions. Good luck, I have neck pain too from spinal stenosis and take Tylenol.

    Dr. Furlan, thank you for your informative videos. I'm anemic and take B-12 shots once a month, Folic acid, and prescribed iron pills.
    I also have MS and have developed severe inflammation in my lower spine which causes my back muscles to tense up when walking and standing to the point I can't walk on treadmill anymore and lay in bed longer. I also have fatigue which comes with the MS but is mainly now from the pain with the inflammation.
    I understand sugars are bad for inflammation and make it worse. Could you discuss this. Thank you and God bless you, continued prayers for our Heavenly Father's wisdom and insight for you 🙏

      Have you tried mega doses of Vitamin D ? I think you should look into that. I’m talking taking 50,000 ius. And no it’s not Toxic at that level.

      Thank you for sharing. I have the same problem with the muscles around the spine and it's so painful. I want to try Omega 3 now. What is helping you for the spine pain? Im taking B12, B1 and B6 and this combination is a miracle. B12 sometimes is not enough.

    I tried this and after a few days I noticed a reduction in my osteoarthritis pain. For me at least this is a healthy substitute for acetaminophen or ibuprofen.

      @@BicheBug1996 well this lack of help made me not subscribe to this channel. If I was you, I would ask a trusted pharmacist…. She could have answered for you, especially if your in pain 😥
      I am vegan and suffering with herniated discs at this moment, I will make sure I eat walnuts, and flax seed daily
      At the end of the video she does address the quantity to take

    I’m glad I watched this. My cardiologist took me off of fish oil tablets. I was already talking medication to reduce cholesterol. He said I wasn’t getting any benefit from fish oil tablets

    I started taking krill oil about 9 months ago. My chronic knee pain (4 knee surgeries) went away after about 2 weeks after I started taking krill oil. (1000 mgs)

    Thanks so much for all your information - again! I have had to discover alternative treatments in place of narcotics for my Chronic Pain. The only pain meds I'm on is Topamax for Migraine prevention and "Cymbalta" for Fibromyalgia pain.
    I have done all my own research & had read that Omega 3 would helpful. It was a matter of finding the correct dose & dosage for me. I realize it basically "works" on the blood vessels yet I can't deny it does keep the inflammation down in my muscles & thus controls pain (along with the other combined Supplements that I have discovered). I do have my Alpha Stim Machine that I was just able to replace this past March after not having one for 5 years.)

    Hi Dr. Andrea Furlan, looks like almost each and every one of your videos/presentation has very much in common with the medications I take. Omega -3 for example. I didn't know the risk involves with this. However, I lower the bad cholesterol considerably. Could you also explain the interactions with some other medications as well? Great presentations!     Please talk about Turmeric supplements. I am thoroughly enjoying your videos. I came upon them by chance and they are extremely informative.     Since i had trokanteric bursit ihvebeenusing OMEGA 3. First doctor gave some romatism pills but my pain didnot go away. Then i moved by omega3with very high epa and DHA for 8 years. There is no pain in my hip. i can do pilates walk, even zumba as long as i have OMEGA 3.😊😊😊😊❤️

    Ground cloves Have 3000 x the Free Radical Scavenger effect as the same amount of Blueberries . In fact spice powders are far better than most vitamins. Cinnamon, Curcumin are anti inflammatory and anti oxidants

    Fish Oil is a great source of Omega 3. There is a problem however, most commercially available soft gel capsules raw material is spiked with Krill Oil to boost the Omega 3 assay. Therefore, anyone allergic to shellfish will have a problem and probably have a reaction like me. I tried so many brands and they all claim FISH OIL. but I reacted which means to me there is a source of Shellfish oil contaminating the product. There is no point to complain to the manufacturer as they all will deny your claim.

    I have a rheumatoid artritis and I'm taking omega 3 gel supplements...do I take it for long time...I'm already 58yrs old...I have a maintainace of prednisolone 5mg everyday...

      My daughter has weak knees, I give her lots of milk ,she did calcium &magnesium supplements but.i stopped her,she also have a sensitive stomach which again I put garlic supplements for a month, she is 12 years,kindly advice what she should take coz she falls on and off.

    I’ve been taking omega 3 and turmeric for a while. Honestly it hasn’t completely rid of my back and toe pain but I think it helps a bit so the pain won’t be excruciating?

    I eat wild smoked salmon on a regular basis it helps with my chronic thoracic and Lombard pain due to several herniated disc peripheral nerve damage it also helps with heart disease palpitation congested for failure it's helped me with a lot of things

    Yeah i had taken omega 3 too . Excuse me Doctor. I would like to tell you that my brother had pain like neuralgia sine 2018. He had done that radio frequency too but till now he is still on medication. Any exercises for him too. Thanks n may God bless you with more n more knowledge a

    Thank you for sharing. I take 3 oméga 3 tablets à day for chronic RA pain. I was taking 1 but didn't really do any difference so I have increased it and without any arthritis medication I manage the pain. I also take MSM powder every day. Do you think 3 tablets is too much or dangerous? Thank you again 🙏

    How much omega 3 is too much ? I have titrated to 2 grams every 8 hours, and have seen some improvements after 3 months.Came off opioids, and lost 75 lbs.Still taking somewhat of Beating.

    I have extensive injuries to my shoulders, clavicle, sternoclavicluar joint dislocation, and rupture to the left SC joint.
    I have suffered pain that has made me black out from the neuropathic pain.
    I now take 3 x 2000mg = 6000mg of O3 a day. This is the only thing that gives me any peace.

    Hello Dra. I bought some supplements for my joints like glucosamine chondroitin plus fish oil ... but this fish oil contains of omega 3-6-9 which is 1200 mg. My question is is it good to take them both for my osteoarthritis? And how long should I take fish oil? Thank you so much ... God bless
