I always get confused why authors of SCP articles overblow the dimensions of things. In 3700, the section of ocean is only 5km deep, yet a vehicle within it has doorways with diameters of 60 km?? And the 2nd entity in 3700 is 30km long and can somehow lower it's tail into the 5km deep ocean to create a whirlpool? So what are the plant based SCPs that helped the finfolk fight? The metal and flesh are obviously but I've never heard of scps based around plant-body modifications
No idea, could be one of those flesh cults considering they have used plants as bio weapons. Finnfolk*, most likely as in finnish people. You know, north sea and proto nordic runes..
While this played out like a cheesy action movie, it's an extremely good one and I could picture it all happening in my head like a movie. Would make an excellent video game series too that has me itching to play.
I honestly would love to see/hear more SCP articles and/or stories revolving around the fin-folk and their culture. I always enjoy learning and researching more about non-human civilizations/societies in the SCP Universe.
My favorite SCPs are ones like this where other species are just treated as people. Very different sorts of people, sure, but still people. It gets very tiring when so much fiction automatically assumes that anything alien is inherently hostile, which seems especially prevalent among SCP fiction (perhaps for obvious reasons, but it's still very prevalent). It also gets very tiring how many SCP entries go out of their way to paint the Foundation as cartoonishly evil just for the sake of edginess (Seriously, if the Foundation depicted in many articles found a magical singing meat grinder, it wouldn't be surprising if they just started chucking in D-class babies for no reason), so to see an entry where the Foundation launches a major military operation to rescue and relocate a city of non-human refugees is very refreshing.
Honestly, there are different types of articles. Some stories are about the pure, unadultered fear of a mysterious and hostile to its core entity or event, hellbent on hurting humans no matter what. These are the stories where you just want to know what the fuck is that and try to remove it, because it's dangerous. Some are more a middle ground, between scientific research and exploring the universe around the Foundation. Then of course, some are like what you describe, but what makes them special is exactly that they aren't all there is to see in the SCP universe. These Finfolks are the rare example of another civilization being in good relationship with the current status quo of the world AND not having any reason to turn on humans, quite the opposite. Similarly, while the failure and loss in this situation would have been bad, they weren't "THe single worst thing ever happened", which is way too common in series 6 and 7 when you go in this kind of long and big articles.
Man this could so be a mod, and like a huge exploration map or game or something. I can't figure out why no major game company hasn't tried to really tackle the SCP universe.
I was just talking about how much control had influences from scp and could do a ton of expansions with collabs and crowdfunding from the scp community. The main story line is just the right mixture of wtf wtf, eye roll, and realization, if that makes sense 😅

I’d love to see a K-Class scenario in which the Finfolk, Foundation, Mekkanites, Sarkites, Daeva, etc all come to form one more Last Alliance against whatever world-ending deity is threatening them this time.
“An Alliance once existed between Man, Metal, Flesh, Fin, and Plant. Long ago we fought and died together. We come to honor that allegiance.”
I just recently discovered this series and I can't get enough! I love all the little details and the creativity is off the hook!
Well no shit, I was just listening to your other aquatic SCP about the creatures hoping for a full length cover of 4700, Perfect timing.
I like how the first 100 scps were like a computer, a doctor, a child, and now it's godzilla level monsters and intergalactic threats

A cuttlefish? You're telling me they got saved by a Reaper?!
Not gonna lie, the air force dropping in was the most epic thing I’ve heard in this fandom…
Your stuff is so calming. It’s both extremely interesting, and an amazing sleep aid. I appreciate that very very much! Keep doing what you’re doing!
this was literally posted at the perfect time i was looking for something to watch as this was posted
the Illustration of giant enemy crab is beauty
Aaaah we got blessed with more SCP content. Thank you!
every night... the sharp annunciation, the pacing. the ambient music... perfect sleep every time. thank you from the garden. 🎶🌸
You are one of my top 3 favourite channels. Me and the Mrs fall asleep to your narratives almost every time. We get excited when you post a new video
Can’t tell you how many times I’ve listened to a video of yours whilst I go to sleep only to have to restart it the following day to actually listen. Mad love, hope this helps the algorithm
I've grown so tired of "The Foundation fucks everything up" storylines, that this was thoroughly enjoyable!
And your narration as always helped create such an exciting picture! Props to the author as well 👏
Great SCP and great video... But, I gotta say, every time there was talk about fires happening during the storyline... all I could hear was "FIRE IN THE WATER... WHY!?"
I absolutely love your videos and they really help me sleep but I was wondering if we could have time marked chapters tagged into the comments (as not to ruin story immersion) it would just be good for the particularly longer videos as I always end up falling asleep (not in a bad way it’s actually really helpful for me)
Orkney is my favourite place in the world. Looking forward to hearing this.
hurray you actually go deeper into the Orcadian SCPs
Thank god man, I was pissed you left it on a cliffhanger. Glad you made this video.
Came for the ancient Crabship, stayed for the Fishpeople Game of Thrones.
Dude, Mithir's speech to the crab machine sent shivers up my arms
I love the way this SCP weaves many others together into a coherent narrative
Perfect. Got three hours of work left, but you always make it fly by.
I wonder if DrBleep and DjKacktus will write something together at some point.🤔 Regardless, you did an amazing job Bleep and this is a fantastic canon you've made.
Well this was surprisingly wholesome and awesome for a change. I could see this being a movie that Id enjoy.
TIME FOR CRAB
Thanks for the new video! I'm using the scp playlist and your audiobooks to keep me sane while working on my qualifying Exam!
Its so refreshing to see everything just work out for everyone. Im so happy the fishfolk are back home 😭
Recon team had themselves a real adventure. Not often their lot get to be badass magic bow wielding heroes. It was like a dnd campaign😂
Timing is perfect. Just about to put the head down.
Love from Ireland 💚💛💚
A new exploring SCP video? Yes. One full hour long? HELL yes.
Action,Heroics, suspense and a happy ending. 8/10
Giant enemy crab, attack it's weakpoints for massive damage
I have been listening to you for the past few months. I'm a lucid dreamer and my adventures have been real crazy as I listen through my dream state. Thank you. See you on the other plane!!!
always wanted to learn to do that
@@johnfrancis3203 look up lucid dreaming protocol. Then mess around with your eating times before you go to bed. When I started, I would nap in my car for my lunch breaks at work. And it was easier than in my bed but as time and practice went by, I was able to do it easier and easier. Sleep paralysis effected me alot in the beginning as well. Just a heads up.
@@powpowalleje7848 Nvm. I hear sleep paralysis = demons and nope
@@johnfrancis3203 I have had those too but never while in LD-protocol. All it is is a chemical in your brain that stops your body from acting out physically what you do in your dreams. Thats why when your trying to fight in your dreams it feels like your punching under water. It's a good thing. I wish I knew more science-y terms but I'm no scientist. Once you wake up consciously, it takes about a min or 2 for your body to follow. I freaked out the first couple times it happened.
Loved this one nice to get 05 level information on an anomaly from time to time.
You know, I just finished your video on the aquatic SCPs, wondering what's the follow-up on crabby battle and this shows up. Wonderful
wholesome beyond normal SCP's but it is nice to have just a plain fantasy story that doesnt end in doom and despair. Fun story.
This is one ov my favorite ones. Great to hear you reading it, and having the author reply!
Love it when people take a look at local folklore and give it a refreshing twist.
Makes for some good stories.
I hope in 500+ years that this stuff is unearthed, if at all possible, and looked at as if it were our religious mythologies.
Be just as believable as any other spiritual ideas loll
Nothing like late night exploring series to put me to sleep
Nothing like a late night exploring series to get me through the night shift
So what are the plant based SCPs that helped the finfolk fight? The metal and flesh are obviously but I've never heard of scps based around plant-body modifications
Maybe the Daeva/the Daevite Empire?
No idea, could be one of those flesh cults considering they have used plants as bio weapons.
Finnfolk*, most likely as in finnish people. You know, north sea and proto nordic runes..
Scp 2000 perhaps ?
SCP 3140, 5280, and some daeva weapon of mass destruction i cant remember that made people forget about the area where it was planted
@@brandonvelde5774 That's my assumption as well
While this played out like a cheesy action movie, it's an extremely good one and I could picture it all happening in my head like a movie. Would make an excellent video game series too that has me itching to play.
I’d be up for a non-SCP adaptation of this story
I was playing bioshock before i listened to this and its pretty much the same thing with scp thrown in
I honestly would love to see/hear more SCP articles and/or stories revolving around the fin-folk and their culture. I always enjoy learning and researching more about non-human civilizations/societies in the SCP Universe.
We definitely need more artwork around this SCP
falling asleep to your videos is genuinely the best part of my week
Normie: Marvel's endgame is the most ambitious crossover in history!
Finfolk, humans, Mekhanites, Sarkites & Daevites: Amateurs
Sees a new SCP video:nice 👍
Sees that it's Longform: NICE 🥰
this takes the "reject monke evolve to crab" saying even further.
I have no idea what the SCP is but these are great to fall asleep to
Nice to have some Scottish based SCP’s! The Highlands and Islands of Scotland have heaps of folklore
I just discovered this. These are freaking amazing!! I love these so much! Take my money!
Wow, that was really cool. Good to see The Foundation helping and making good decisions.
A refreshing change
@@thebighurt2495 I agree.
I love your videos i look forward to them every week with many rewatches simply because the quality is unparalleled.
Another great narrative well illustrated by the kind narrator thanks.
I really hope we can someday get an scp cinematic universe, this could be an amazing movie
This one brought me to tears at the end, I just, AMAZING READING DUDE, MY GOD!
I’ve been listening to you for a while now. I just want to say u are an amazing story teller
Man this could so be a mod, and like a huge exploration map or game or something. I can't figure out why no major game company hasn't tried to really tackle the SCP universe.
Check out Control :)
I was just talking about how much control had influences from scp and could do a ton of expansions with collabs and crowdfunding from the scp community.
The main story line is just the right mixture of wtf wtf, eye roll, and realization, if that makes sense 😅
This was one of the best scps ive seen so far. Its good seeing the foundation doing good to
26:04 "[...] along with what appears to be a Royal Decree"
Good! That way we can expect there won't be any traps.
This needs to be longer, LONGER!
* Shakes fist like Homer Simpson *
The ending is surprisingly wholesome ^.^
It's nice to see the foundation doesn't turn out to be a complete bad guys in this situation
This so far might be one of my favorites
