- It's day two in Canada and today I'm heading to Captain Robin's Family Restaurant in Mississauga, Ontario to take on their 'Scary Breakfast Challenge'.
This thing costs $30 and consists of one huge mountain of hash browns, topped with pancakes, french toast, regular toast, bacon, Canadian bacon, sausages, eggs, cheese and either a cup of coffee or a glass of orange juice. Only 5 people have managed to conquer this thing in over 7 years, but if you manage it, you get the meal on the house and a t-shirt!

Q: How come you don’t get fat?
A: I eat like this for 1 hour of a 168 hour long week. In simple terms, I eat at caloric maintenance over the course of time, meaning I don’t gain weight. If you're interested in learning more, see the ‘But How Come You're Not Fat' and 'It Was Just A Normal Day...' videos available on my channel.
Q: Don’t you worry about your health?
A: Not in particular. I’m active. I eat nutrient dense foods five days a week. And, I get quarterly bloods done, amongst other health checks.

A very convivial Sunday to you folks! I hope you’ve all had a great week and thanks for joining me for yet another video. Today it’s episode two of my adventures in Ontario and I’m in a place called Mississauga for a Canadian brekkie so big they actually call it ‘The Scary Breakfast Challenge’.

I’m always amazed by how cheap these meals are. I think I’m going to start doing food challenges failing miserably and having left overs all week for super cheap

I've been thinking the same thing myself since I started watching this mad man and his missus yesterday. I pay between £10-£15 for a normal pretty damned small breakfast here in the UK.

I actually think this is his most impressive challenge. Seen it a few times now and I still can’t believe he was able to eat all that. Just unreal
I think what makes this one tough is that it's all carbs and relatively low on protein/liquid.

Definitely. That mound of hash was off the charts. I think he realized they were unfairly padding that challenge, hence his rather unfavorable opinion of how their food tasted and prepared.
Being set up for failure is what it looked like. I'm glad you killed it just to put it back on them cause you got a free breakfast. Great job @ BeardMeatsFood!!!! On to the next!

I hate when restaurants do that! I know they're competitive eaters but still! They do this sort of thing to Randy Santal all the time too!!

although i agree its really lame when they add to a challenge just because they know he demolishes everything, but..... bringing a scale and weighing it before you begin is a bit much i think. especially when you confront them beforehand. wouldnt really make for a welcoming vibe in the future when restsaurants know youre gonna weigh it.

It's sad how often they get duped, mostly with potatoes. It's one thing to give an extra bump, but these places get ridiculous with it!

Lots of carbs and breads are tough for me, the only breakfast challenge I've breezed through was the Appalachian Gravy & Biscuits Avalanche at Country Cottage in Gatlinburg TN. It's a massive 60 oz breakfast with the previously mentioned milk gravy & biscuits, sausage, bacon, eggs, and jam. But the country-style biscuits are so moist they're like flaky balls of shortening. Delicious.
I feel full just watching your videos, especially this one.
Pancakes and french toast look absolutely delicious. That's a lot of sides though for a simple hashbrown challenge.

Just started watching your vids a few days ago. I used to live right across the street from this restaurant, best hangover spot ever! Huge portions, cheap, super nice staff. Hope you enjoyed Canada and plan to come back!
If you ever have a North American breakfast challenge, remember that the syrup weighs you down. Add some vinegar to the hash browns and omelette. Frank's and Crystals is a good choice. A bit spicy but it breaks up the fat. Though I am not a competition eater, my eyes have always been bigger than my stomach and I have always finished my meals.

yea we dont usually do the sausage patties in canada except on like fast food breakfast sandwhiches. its always bacon, sausage links, or ham.
17 mins in and the maple syrup comes outs ‘he’s using sauce, he might be in trouble!’ Pulled it out the bag though. Great effort especially as they chucked a few extra spuds on there 😅

I'd like to see these meals weighed before and after you're done. There never appears to be consistency with the portion sizes given to challengers.
Weigh the meal AFTER he's done? As in, weigh his turds?
@@TheAcer4666 No you weigh the plate to get a total weight for the food that was on it. Without being able to zero out the scale with the plate alone you couldn't say for certain how much was given.

I did something similar once. I loved pumpkin pies. I ate a whole one once and 40 years later I hate pumpkin pies now and haven’t had any since. I couldn’t imagine eating like him.

Canada does not have a whole lot of these food challenges, so that's one reason why the ones that are there aren't attempted very often because we just don't know they're there!!

What is your procedure after all these food comps? Like, how do you spend the rest of your day? I assume your body has adapted to these insane amount of intake of food. Would be great to know how you go about your day afterwards. How long until you are comfortable again? RESPECT 👊

it used to be called Helen's in Port Credit. It's on lakeshore behind the starbucks on the west side of the river.

For those talking about the portions, I’ve been there before… and they’re known for having huge portions! Believe me, I have a hard time trying to finish their normal meals haha
People are talking about comparing previous people who tried the challenge and the pictures of their challenge prior to it being eaten is a smaller example then what beard got
