- By popular request, Sister Beard is back today and given how well she did last time out, I thought it was about time she got another official restaurant challenge win under her belt...
Today we're taking on Flaming Grill's new Steak Fondue Challenge. Like all their challenges, it's a gimmicky pay to play; meaning you don't get the meal free if you win, but you do get a certificate, a spot on their wall of fame and a 10% off voucher. Still, I thought it would be a perfect opportunity for Jenna to repeat her victorious form from the last steak challenge we did over a year ago.

Q: How come you don’t get fat?
A: I eat like this for 1 hour of a 168 hour long week. In simple terms, I eat at caloric maintenance over the course of time, meaning I don’t gain weight. If you're interested in learning more, see the ‘But How Come You're Not Fat' and 'It Was Just A Normal Day...' videos available on my channel.
Q: Don’t you worry about your health?
A: Not in particular. I’m active. I eat nutrient dense foods five days a week. And, I get quarterly bloods done, amongst other health checks.

I’m back! Hope you didn’t miss me too much last Sunday, but I had to take a bit of time to prep for the trip to Canada, which I think you’re gonna love. Agreed. That's a terrible looking steak. And isn't fondue supposed to be melted cheese? Not slightly warmed over cheese.

Definitely enjoy videos more when your sister is there. She's down to Earth and tries to complete the challenges which is a huge positive.
Don't know how I missed this one but glad I caught it. Sister Beard is almost too wholesome..."I don't know if it's snot or sweat on my lip"...either one might help to wash that seriously evil steak down.
Please try to find a challenge that Jen has a fighting chance at completing. She really does try and it would be super to see her punch the air in success.
Between the flies and the tough steak, I'm not super excited to try that one
That dessert wasn't super impressive either.
I ate at a Flaming Grill the other day, we only intended to go in for a few pints after work but decided to eat there for ease. I saw these challenges and I took on the 25 chicken wing challenge, which is clearly one of the smaller ones for a food challenge but as someone who suffers from Crohn's Disease and struggles to eat large portions in one sitting, I'm happy to say I finished it all! I don't think I broke any records that's for sure but I had a competitive eating mentality going into it and just didn't allow myself to stop at any point because that's when you start to become overwhelmed.
Also, like Jenna, my jaw makes a cracking sound when I chew on my left side of my mouth. It's mildly disconcerting but it doesn't hurt so I just end up freaking people out who hear it xD

Rare isn’t a good way to get steak during a challenge. So of course it’s chewy. Medium is the best way if you need to eat a lot. Mistake by him

I work for a flaming grill and the apple pie thing is pretty poor its just layers of apple filling, custard, shortbread, and toffee sauce and ice cream, cream, the cheesecakes go like crazy

No, the point of steak is that it needs less cooking and not more, the less well done it is the more tender, that's if it's a proper cut of steak and not a joint more suitable for stewing!
