This was the first interview I have ever seen with Mr. Beard and I have to say this was outstanding. He answered so many questions why he isn't dead right now. lol. The guy knows what he's doing. The fasting, the nutritional food. Mr. Beard and Katrina kilo and Randy as well as most of these other big eaters that eat in family style restaurants are eating great natural healthy food. Just a hell of a lot of it. The ice-cream and candy challenges I do get concerned for them because of the incredibly high sugar dose but otherwise, they all eat great food well prepared by people who care. Wonderful interview.
I once tried “the bomb” hot sauce at a hot sauce store and had to sign a waiver. even though I had a small amount on a chip I ended up chugging coke and water. I had to lay down for like 30 minutes and I was just drooling in pain and sweating. I felt it for the next few hours and definitely regretted my life choices the rest of the day.
Love Adam. Not only a beast but great fun to interact with on social media. Just to add, what I do to combat the heat from spicy food is go on the floor, get into the foetal position, cry, then cry some more. Works a charm.
Me too, I once did a food challenge with my brother at Huckleberry's in York, he happened to be there and served my food, I was like "thanks, I never expected this". He was a lovely guy!
I may not necessarily understand the why but I most certainly can appreciate how he manages to beat these challenges with such a great positive, matter-of-fact attitude. The dude is an absolute international legend.

Probably the most dangerous thing is throwing your salt and/or blood sugar way out of range. There was a "hold my wee for a wii" or something contest where a lady died from drinking too much water and diluting her electrolytes. Adam mentions the effect of extreme blood sugar levels.

Luckily they are both still fairly young so their bodies still have a good level of resilience. My concern is that Adam and his wife could be setting themselves up for serious health problem, such as cancer, diabetes, heart disease or Alzheimer's.
You know he doesn't do these challenges daily and eats ultra healthily inbetween plus all the exercise. He knows his body better than anyone I'm sure he at no risk at all, and if he was he would stop.
I'm glad he says the same thing as me once you're burning you're burning gonna have to ride it out. I've done the death nut challenge and a couple of the paquis 1chips. I did them both at the same time once and yes the cramps are the worst of it.

Scoville units don’t “stack” like that. If you put a bottle of 1 million Scoville into another bottle of 1 million Scoville, you just end up with twice as much of 1 million Scoville.
Good to see beard on the pod.
Really nice guy but he takes shocking risks. I am amazed that him and his wife manage to keep as well as they do with the competitive eating and such faddy eating. Luckily they are both still fairly young so their bodies still have a good level of resilience. My concern is that Adam and his wife could be setting themselves up for serious health problem, such as cancer, diabetes, heart disease or Alzheimer's.
Definitely a high risk of diabetes and hearth disease
You know he doesn't do these challenges daily and eats ultra healthily inbetween plus all the exercise. He knows his body better than anyone I'm sure he at no risk at all, and if he was he would stop.
@@stuartmitchell3236 it’s still not good on his body to push all that salt and sugar into his body at once
@@joebloggs6922type 2 diabetes is easily curable.
I'm glad he says the same thing as me once you're burning you're burning gonna have to ride it out. I've done the death nut challenge and a couple of the paquis 1chips. I did them both at the same time once and yes the cramps are the worst of it.
Dudes a legend! Love watching his vids
