- Today we're at Fraggle Rock...I mean Diggle Lock...In a little village in The Pennines by the name of Diggle, taking on there as yet unconquered 3.5kg french toast challenge!
Diners get 30 minutes in which to sink what should be 2.5kg of french toast, cream and some fruity toppings. If successful the £30 meal is FREE and you get a winner's spoon...yes a spoon!

@@simonsan5271yeah he absolutely is. I have seen her in a few videos (so far), and frankly she does absolutely zero to help him out in any way at all. Never seen her even shoot any video, or even ask him from time to time if he "needs anything" like napkins, or something to drink or anything at ALL. NADA, zero zilch.
That is not really my idea of a life partner much less even a girlfriend. Heck I have had women I just dated for a few weeks asking me if I wanted another soda or more napkins when it looked like we may need more.
It's great to see Mrs. Beard in the video again and Adam's extra joy and enthusiasm in this video made it more enjoyable to watch!

I luckily don't have any eating disorders myself, but watching him eat that much makes me unable to eat myself, as i feel "second hand full-ness". lmao.
@@profanemagic5671 well the "second hand fullness" is kind of the trick, when I'm really depressed and can't bring myself to eat I watch these videos and it gives me an appetite and reminds me I have to eat to sustain myself. It's hard to explain over a RUclips comment

I thought the prizes were poor tbh. A glorified shopping bag and a wooden spoon? Still, he got a free meal as well I think...

French toast maybe not that popular here in SoCal, at least that I've noticed. But I love it growing up all across this country, especially covered in melted butter, maple syrup and over easy eggs. Sausage on the side seals the deal!
After mowing my lawn and cleaning up the driveway. Fed my dog. My daughter sent me a breakfast via door dash for Fathers day. She is in Arizona and i am in Utah. The only contact with one of my five children. Watching Beard picked up my spirits. Seeing Mrs. Beard was an added boost to my day. The light hearted banter is great.

You're the only food eating youtuber I can watch. I have misophonia and I deathly despise chewing sounds and I can get really angry from it, but your videos have great commentary instead of annoying chewing sounds so I really appreciate that

I follow about a dozen food-challenge channels. Yours is my fave. For two reasons:
1) The way you interact with the audience is SO charming, and
2) You edit them to a reasonable length. I've literally passed on watching some of Randy's or Joel's videos because they're SO LONG and I ain't got that kinda time :)

French toast is my fave, too! Usually get hungry looking at the pile of food at the start of the challenge, then by the end of watching, I often feel sick to my stomach. For some reason i keep watching Beard anyway. I do think I've been eating more at meals since I started watching Beard, so I appreciate that, since I'm weighing in at a slight 137 lbs right now.

Great to see Mrs Beard back as we haven't seen her in ages, a true gem, big love Mrs beard. Also i have come up with a solution on how to keep your glass nice and clean and free from food slime. Why don't you use a straw? or use one hand for eating and the other hand for drinking, what do you think haha?

It's always funny when the restaurant decides to make the challenge bigger than advertised for competitive eaters, especially when it gets finished anyways.

It's not funny it's unsportsmanlike and he should have called them out harder on it.
To be fair to the restaurant in this one, the challenge is a whole loaf of French toast plus a smattering of whipped cream topped with berries ECT. It's not X kilos of French toast. Each one will be different.
I suspect that each loaf itself would be different and would also absorb a different amount of liquid. If it were one whole extra kilo of toppings I'm sure it would have been blatantly obvious.
As for the places that add crazy amounts of extra fries, they're scum and honestly I'd just walk out when it's served in that case.
I reckon it was normal size, it just looked a lot smaller on the instagram pic but phone pics can be like that
@@kyr_glassjar Didn't the restaurant say the last time they made one they weighed it and it was 2.5kg, and this time it was 3.5? With the bread being made in moulds they are going to be a consistent size starting out - surely the only way to get an extra kilo is for them to pile on toppings far different one serving versus another? I have to assume they knew it was going to be bigger...just perhaps not so much as it was?

I like that they weighed it so that it could be no doubt about the fact that it was a lot more then he was supposed to eat in order to win the challenge. Often they put on more food on these challenges then what it should be just cause he's the Beard. Loved to see the GF again!

There’s definitely a mental component to it… To be able to keep making yourself eat some food that is really really rich. Do you know it’s Rich and may be greasy and fatty you kind of lose your taste for it
What does no doubt that his physical preparation in terms of fasting or whatever he does skipping meals or skipping days of eating a part of his preparation also, I imagine that Your stomach has somehow become more elastic or something like that over the years

Adam, I honestly don’t know where you put it all! We’ll done and I never thought Mrs Beard left. She is pretty finicky in a “if you’re going to do this,then do it right!” kind of way. It looked very yummy.
