This is why Tyson captured the imagination so much back then. He was a paradox, seemingly gentle out of the ring but extremely violent within it. He wasn't the typical tough guy, but when he did say something pre fight it was all the more arresting, he had an intelligence that intimidated fighters I think. The Tyson here had problems though but this was when he was at his best publicly, with the right people around him this might have carried on but unfortunately the bad influences came in. He didn't have that strong mentality like Ali, so it all went south. Tyson as he is today I believe represents who he really is, so he did have the strength to fight his demons in the end.
